About
Established since 1974, Singapore Cable Car is the nation's first and only cableway. More than a mode of transport linking local residents and overseas travellers from the top of Mount Faber Park to Sentosa Island, a 'joyride' on the cable car offers a 360-degree aerial, visual treat of the entire Sentosa-HarbourFront skyline. Above and beyond that, Singapore Cable Car is the only cableway in the world that takes off from the hills at Faber Peak Singapore, passes a highway, goes through an office building, over the HarbourFront cruise bay and onto Sentosa, the State of Fun. Hours : 8.45am - 10pm daily (Last boarding: 9.30pm) Admission: S$29/Adult; S$18/Child (Complimentary admission into Sentosa and Singapore Cable Car Museum) Check out our website now to find out more on our unique cable car offerings!

    Good ride
There are primarily two cable cars one can enjoy while in Sentosa - one within the boundaries of Santosa & the other going out of Sentosa upto Faber Hill. One can but on line tickets valid for one day & unlimited rides. Sky pass costs currently SD28 per person.

    Amazing Views and Fun Ride
We took this back from the beach (we took the free tram on the way there). We bought a ticket that allowed us to take the entire ride and we were able to stay on all the way to the hilltop park. It was delightful! What started out as a way to get back to Vivo city turned out to be a great time. Beautiful amazing views!

    Great day out!
A must do if you come to Singapore. The cable car is inexpensive in itself and a great way to explore Sentosa and Faber Mountain. A stack of things to do in Sentosa - you could spend a couple of days there, especially with young kids.

    Amazing view
We went to Santosa island on cable car. Which is very safe to travel. Can get 360 view from the cable car. There is a option to buy multiple entry ticket from the counter. That allows to go to surrounded places and the attractions with the cable car and get down and move to another place. Including the universal studio.

    Online Ticket
We booked our tickets online, we paid SGD 28 instead of 35 as well as skip the queue. A 15 minutes ride to the top. Passing by many hotels, adventure water parks, long trees and others. A big fun. Never miss Singapore Cable Car.

    A novel experience in Singapore
It’s a spectacular way to travel to Sentosa island. We were visiting the S.E.A. Aquarium from Singapore and this was a novel way to travel. It starts at Mount Faber in Singapore, which we accessed by Grab Cab. We didn’t see a nearby MRT station and if there was it would have been a long hot humid walk up the hill to the top. Once you’re at Sentosa a free shuttle bus is available to the aquarium, it’s a short walk down the hill. Our visit was in between Christmas and New Year and it was reasonably busy. The wait for a cable car was about 10 minutes each way. Each air conditioned car can take 8 people but on the day they were being loaded with approximately 1 family or 4 people per car. I can imagine in high season the queues in higher temperatures will be much longer and the cars filled to capacity so you’re rubbing shoulders with strangers. It wasn’t compulsory to get off at the end as a ticket lasts for a whole day. Some people were staying in the cars and enjoying the return journey without alighting.

    Sentosa Line cable car
a fun way to get a different view of Sentosa. You can stay on for a round trip or get off at 1 one 3 stops to see the sites and views that would normally have to walk or shuttle to. It lets you off at Merlion, Imbiah Lookout, and Siloso Point. All 3 stops have things to do at the stop. Something about the view from the treetops is just special and unique.

We used this to get to and from Sentosa island one day. We also did the Mt Faber cable ride.

We used the MRT to get here but was rather confused as the signage was not that good (or maybe we missed - but went on quite the walk before finding the correct location), but once there all went smoothly getting to Sentosa, we went January and basically walked straight onto the cable car.

Cable car takes you to good location (although rather run down location at this end of Sentosa). Sky Helix looked in poor condition. We did a guided trip (well worth it), and Madam Tusards, and explored around the island. *Next day we did the universal side of the island.

We then did the Mt Faber cable ride - my tip is do it before 3pm - I don't enjoy heights at a slow pace, so when the clouds rolled in and the car rocked side to side, was when I decided I want to get off - and did not enjoy this experience as much as I should have as the views are spectacular (but this is mother nature). :)

The return car home was all good.

The place is clean and tidy and the staff do there job, and reasonably helpful.

All in all a must do attraction both Sentosa and Mt Faber lines.

Our cruise ship, Marella Discovery 2, was docked at the cruise terminal. The entrance to the cable car was nearby. It was a fun way of travelling to Sentosa Island, going over our ship.

The all day ticket can take you to Santos’s and tour the whole island and watch some light show. The downside is much is in construction but that’s not the cable cars fault

This wasn’t a great experience. I use a collapsible electric wheelchair. I’d checked online and saw that that the cable car was wheelchair friendly. But when we got there we were taken aback to be told very bluntly that we couldn’t take it with us because of the battery. This wasn’t obvious on their website and we only found it later by clicking through screens and then through the FAQs. But I can walk short distances and we only wanted to do the cable car rides so not a problem. We asked where we could leave it but there was nowhere - no cloakroom or any storage and the staff weren’t at all interested in helping us. There was some spare space in the corner of the waiting room so we asked if we could fold it down and leave it there. But were rudely refused. It took 40 minutes to find a safe place nearby where we could leave it. We liked the cable car ride but were disappointed with the view from the cars going up to Mt Faber as one of the side windows is obscured with advertising and there was a banner pasted across part of the front window. There’s no real lookout at Mt Faber so we went back and over to Sentosa. We walked the couple of hundred metres to the other station and enjoyed the ride up and the down the island. It was pleasant enough but the island didn’t look that enticing. For the quite expensive price, we wouldn’t particularly recommend it.

It was a nice ride once you find it. We walked and asked people and walked more. Took a while to.find the entrance at the Harbour. Then once we got to Sentosa, we had to walk downhill through construction to find the bus stop. It wasn't worth the ride. Plus you had to pay. Next time we take the free monorail. Much nicer.

One line closed and a hot 10 minutes walk to find out!

Save your money and use the monorail on level 3 of Vivo City. We knew the Mount Faber line would be closed during our visit. What we did it know was that also meant we were unable to get over to Sentosa Island from the Harbourfront MRT station. There was no signage to explain this and we had to follow a very circuitous and hot route to the cable car ticket office to be told this. I suggested that a sign outside the MRT might be an idea to prevent 100s of tourists having to do the same 30 min round trip in the heat to find this information out,…

Dear Sian P, We genuinely value your input and wish to offer clarification regarding the temporary closure of the Mount Faber Line and access to Sentosa Island. We have ensured that all information regarding the annual maintenance closure of our Singapore Cable Car is promptly updated on our official website to keep our visitors well-informed. We regret any confusion this may have caused. While the Mount Faber Line is undergoing temporary closure, please note that our Sentosa Line is operating as usual. During this period, access to Sentosa Island is attainable through land transportation, given that the Mount Faber Line, which typically connects to the island, is currently unavailable. We apologize for any inconvenience you encountered during your visit. Your suggestion of implementing signage outside the MRT station is valuable, and we will certainly consider its feasibility to prevent future tourists from enduring unnecessary trips in the heat to gather this essential information. Your feedback is of utmost importance to us, and we are fully committed to enhancing the overall visitor experience. We hope you will consider giving us another opportunity to provide you with a more seamless and enjoyable experience in the future. We appreciate your diligence in bringing this matter to our attention and thank you for your understanding. Sincerely, Shidah Guest Relations, Mount Faber Leisure Group
