- BradWPerthPerth, Australia96 contributionsWorth a visitWe went across to Sentosa just to see the aquarium with our teenage grandson, and all enjoyed the experience. It wasn’t busy when we went (Monday mid-day) and that made the visit more pleasurable, as we weren’t competing for viewing space. The fish collections are good, though maybe not with the range of some aquaria (eg. Seattle). The main aquarium makes the visit worthwhile, and you can buy a coffee and sit on carpet to enjoy the huge viewing window (think of a very large cinema screen size).Dear BradWPerth, Thank you for your review on TripAdvisor. - Leanne Culina-PenzaSydney, Australia806 contributionsBig things in small packagesFor the size of the aquarium it is very good. It is also a great option for escaping the heat for a few hours, if you find yourself needing a reprieve. Whilst the aquarium is not huge or house some of the larger sea life many others do, it uses its space very well and you have amazing opportunities to sit/stand and just spend time watching the sea life. We really did enjoy our time wandering around the aquarium taking in everything it had to offer.Dear leanneculinapenza, Thank you for your review on TripAdvisor. - United S2 contributionsBoring and going downhillThe water of the largest display look murky. There isn't any impressive sized fish for display. Entrance fee is insane for local at $35. Discount only provided if u buy online 1 day in advance. This is a joke to me. Why make life so difficult for locals? The place is very small, one can complete in about 1 hour. Ok if u never been to any large aquarium before.Visited July 2023Travelled with familyWritten 10 July 2023
- Barbara-BrookeMorales-MurphyLondon, United Kingdom1,212 contributionsNice, but busyGood sized aquarium, lots to see. Admire the many sea creatures while you stroll through this rather large aquarium. It can get pretty busy though, especially on a rainy day. Purchase your cards at the entrance and enjoy!Visited July 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 14 July 2023
- Nicole S35 contributionsLots of hype but didn't quite meet the markIt had all the hype of an amazing experience but didn't seem to live up to it. Fantastic glass tunnels to walk through, ruined somewhat by the divers cleaning the glass when we were there, huge walls of glass to look at the fish swimming around but no seats to stop and appreciate the view (and this was one place in Singapore where the floor wasn't that clean). No larger animals which wasn't expected - if you want to see dolphins that's an extra cost at another venue. Wouldn't be in a rush to return.Visited July 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 19 July 2023

- Jane D5 contributionsFunCool place with plenty to see, lots of information which is posted in English. If you take your time you can easily spend several hours in here. It can get pretty packed though and full of irritating people posing for photos ( we made a game of getting in the way ).Visited August 2023Travelled with familyWritten 6 September 2023

However doesn’t deserve a good rating for the following reason: dolphins in a tank is UNACCEPTABLE - and this applies in any fancy aquarium in the whole world. Shocking not many people realise and queue to see these poor creatures in their basic tank. Keep aquariums for fish species only. Dolphins have a friendly face but it doesn’t mean they smile nor are happy.Visited October 2023Travelled with familyWritten 18 October 2023

Amazing sea life excellently displayed. Accessible with my mobility scooter. Staff was friendly and helpful. I especially enjoyed the huge open sea tank and watching the young rays chase each other. The jellyfish anc sharks were also amazing.

The aquarium overall looks quite tired.
Additionally, the airconditioning can not seem to keep up, and therefore there is a foul body odour smell throughout the aquarium which really deteriorates from the experience. The aqarium overall does not offer anything unique compared to other sea aquariums around the world.

This aquarium is well worth the visit when in Singapore. Being so large it is easy to see plenty and whilst there are a large number of people that visit we could view all exhibits easily. The main tank is huge and has some great viewing areas to allow you access to see as much as possible

Amazing aquarium! I was absolutely blown away by how large and beautiful this aquarium was. I thoroughly enjoyed walking through and getting to see such a variety of sea life. We got there early in the morning so it wasn’t busy and we had lots of space and time to wander though as we pleased. Highly recommend a visit!

If you’ve ever been to an aquarium before you can give this one a miss.
Nothing special about it to make it worth the price. We were in and out within 45 minutes.

Hi, is there any place to buy snacks or drinks inside the aquarium? Or is outside food allowed?
Hi, I would like to visit sea aquarium, however I would like to know if I can take my trolley along with me as I have to travel back on the same day.
HI,, I want to take a cable car from Mt Faber to SEA Aquarium, are you bale to give me step by step directions, please?
Myrm

THe cable car doesn't go to SEA aquarium nor particularly near to it. Its not really designed for being a transport method in the way you plan.
For the idea above you have to get to Mount Faber, use the cable car to Mount Imbiah and then walk a mildly complex route through the building site. Then at the end of the day you have to either discard half the cable car ride or go back to Mount Imbiah and then get off Mount Imbiah which is normally a cab and unless its around a popular meal time they arent that common up there (or you use Grab).
It would be far better (IMO) to treat the cable car as a ride from Sentosa and back to get the full ride and see things in both directions of travel.
You could then walk to SEA.
The route is complicated by the building works where the Merlion used to be but its broadly this:
Come out of the Mount Imbiah station through the shop, pass the Skyhelix tower and walk towards the old colonial building in front of you down a broad avenue - thats the Madame Tussauds/Images of SIngapore building. As you get near follow the railings round to the left and you will spot a staircase down (and if they have fixed it an escalator).
Go down these to the Sentosa cable car lines Merlion station. If the building is still ongoing you will have to follow signs as they move you around based on what works are ongoing. Cross the main building site to get to the Imbiah station of the Sentosa Express Monorail.
Again follow signs round the building screens to get onto the Sentosa walk that will take you either to the BullRing in front of Universal where you then bear left or go through the Resorts World area/Festival Walk from the bottom of the last staircase on the Sentosa Walk to get to the same area - for both you can do this by following signs to SEA which is on the waterfront.

Hi I by mistake bought an adult ticket for my 4 year old child. Hope we will be still able to get the entry for the child?

May I know how to prove the free entrance for under 4 years old? Print screen birth certificate in mobile phone & show at the entrance accept or not?
Hi,
May I know if there is elevator up from B1 to level 1 instead of taking the escalator as I have a wheel-chaired elderly.
Thanks!

To get out at the end after the gift shop? Yes there is. It is marked on the Park Map which you can find on the attraction website under the Plan your Visit tab.

Good evening
I like to ask if I were to bring my 2 kids (aged 2 and 6) to the SEA aquarium, the child admission ticket is applicable for the 6 yr old?
Myrm
Cambridge, UK18,446 contributions
Child tickets are chargeable from the age of 4 to 12. So if you enter with the two children, you will need an adult ticket for yourself, a child ticket for the 6yr old and the 2yr old is free.
