Excellent guide on the bus tour but the food was really disappointing and Luke warm... not up to usual Singaporean standards by any means.
The nightime views were stunning around Marina Bay and Gardens by the Bay but oh so crowded!
Would I recommend this tour... probably not I’m afraid.

We went on the lunch bus on a Tuesday. We went without really knowing what to expect, and were a bit skeptical - but ended up enjoying the ride overall. The bus itself was very nice and comfortable, and our host/waiter/guide was extremely friendly and hospitable. For us, this was a clever, nifty concept. It also was a way for us to kill some time in the afternoon, when it was too hot to do anything else in July. However, some things need to be tweeked - better (and more) food, drinks included instead of an extra charge, and overall price of excursion being more reasonable. Food was decent - but not really gourmet, and small portions. Drinks cost extra, which was a put off, given the expense of the entire excursion. However, we found that food and drink at ALL restaurants in Singapore were very, very, very pricey compared to the U.S., at least in the touristy areas where we visited, and portions also were smaller than in the U.S. Only 3 other customers were on the bus - a bit of a surprise - but this was a weekday, and the host explained that one tour group had canceled at the last minute. The stop at the Gardens was nice - brief, and no time to go inside, but this seemed reasonable for this type of event. The big complaint is the overall price for this excursion - rather expensive for what you get, it seems. However, we did not buy the ticket for the Gourmet Bus outright. Instead, we had bought a Singapore Pass at the tourism office on Orchard Rd., mainly so that we could go to Universal Studios and Night Safari - but the pass included a choice of 3 other options, and this was one of them. Others might choose different options from the pass, but quite a few of those other options involved heights - taking the giant ferris wheel or going up to a high observation deck - not really viable if a person is afraid of heights! So we opted for this instead, just to use up all the options included in the Pass, and had a pleasant experience overall, but a bit expensive for what you got.

We took the gourmet bus yesterday and the experience is great! The tour starts at Suntec and brings us around the CBD area while our enjoy our dinner: appetiser-vietnamese rice rolls and fried spring roll, followed by mains-rice, chicken and fried vegetables. The tour brings is to Gardens by the Bay and we alight there for the 15mins lights show. We board the bus again and was served my favourite mango sticky rice for desserts. I must comment the excellent service by the crew. The tour guide takes good care of us. Overall, it is a refreshing experience to dine with many beautiful views of Singapore.

We booked this bus on a recent trip to Singapore on recommendation from friends (aware that no alcohol is served). We called the company on 23/4 and booked for the dinner service on Friday evening 28/4. The company happily accepted our booking and payment. On Thursday 27/4 my Husband received a text stating that they now had a private booking for the Friday evening thereby cancelling our booking. They did offer the lunch service instead. OMG is this an acceptable way to run a business ? We were really disappointed as we were looking forward to seeing Singapore in the evening, especially gardens by the Bay. I would warn all looking a this tour that even if you have booked and paid, you cannot be certain you will get a seat if they get a better offer. Absolutely disgusting way to run a business and we will certainly tell all our friends not to bother. (Note we did get a refund but this is really not the point).

This tour shouldn't be done alone for sure. I wouldn't call the food gourmet as it was rather bland and minimal in quantity. No alcohol provided. No real tour and they drop us off at the gardens for a half hour.

Just had the worst Singapore experience ever...Gourmet Bus $67 per head bus ride with appalling food and not much of it either. 2 dishes, lettuce leaves, half cooked chicken and ginger dressing...wrap plus weird jelly desert, estimated value to produce $5.00
No alcohol only soft drink which was charged as extra at $6.00 each...such a rip off.
Bus journey lasted 1hour and 30 minutes...dropped off at Gardens by The Bay, where we were left to entertain ourselves before being picked up and returned to the bus depot...shame on you Singapore Gourmetbus, shame on you!

What a great way to have a look around, this bus tour was excellent, with great food and great staff, it must have been good as our teenage boy's loved it too, would do it again.

I am glad I dodged a bullet and didn't make the mistake of entrusting a portion of someone's wedding day to this trainwreck of an organisation. I write this with the hope that no one else has their plans jeopardized either.

I first reached out to Gourmet Bus over the phone in November to make private reservations for a wedding event to be held in Jan 2020. I was told by their representatives that they were able to accommodate this given the ample lead time, and would respond with a proper email shortly.

Radio silence. 2 weeks later I am the one writing an email instead to remind and urge them for a response.

Silence, yet again. Another 2 weeks later, today on 30th December, well over a month since initial contact, I finally receive my first ever reply from the Gourmet Bus team.

Jacinda had the gall to simply brush aside a late reply of over a month with a simple 'pardon the delay' and then proceeded to prattle on as if nothing ever occurred. There wasn't even half a semblance of an apology.

I get that people are on leave during the festive season but (i) I contacted you well before the festive season (ii) I'm sure your organisation has more than 1 person to hand over to.

Thankfully I already felt something was amiss during the long period Gourmet Bus left me in the dark and had already prepared reservations with other, more responsible vendors in the meantime.

Gourmet Bus' work ethic (or lack thereof) is a disgrace to the industry. Forget 'gourmet', a garbage truck has more to be proud of than you do.

We had this included in the Singapore pass and were very excited to try. The food was served just as we started to slowly drive around the city. First course was chicken and lettuce cups, then dim sum with pork or mushrooms, and some rice. I wouldn't exactly say it was gourmet but the experience itself was very fun. Definitely recommend this to anyone who has the pass 😎

We booked lunch on the GOURMETbus. We were greeted warmly by the head waiter and presented with a delicious welcome drink. We were then invited to board, where our photos were taken by the head waiter on our own devices. We sat down to our first course, Dum sum. Followed by pork buns and mushroom duns. We also had chicken rice and Chicken with ginger sauce and lettuce wraps. Dessert was a Jelly flavoured with Goji berries and herbs. Not to our taste but we enjoyed everything else served.
