Could only view it from the outside but the easy access / visibility is a world apart from the layers of security which surround Parliament House in India!

I visited this place on the way to Marina Bay Sands. Did not go inside but the exterior view tells it is a modest structure surrounded by modern skyscrapers.

The Singapore Parliament is just that- the legislative institution for Singapore. It is in a great location (of course) in a slightly unassuming building. It is directly opposite the other branch of government, the judiciary [the quirky Supreme Court]. The SG Parliament is good for photos and makes a nice backdrop. Also, you can enter the Parliament via a side entrance [on the Supreme Court side] and has a gift shop, some historical artefacts and you can view proceedings should they be happening at the time of your visit.

Sunday 20th October we were out and about exploring and sightseeing in Singapore

We walked past this impressive modern building which is situated on Parliment Place. It appeared to be dwarfed by the high rise towers in the area.

The Parliament Building was definitely closed as we visited on a Sunday.

Construction commenced in 1995 and completed in 1999.

It might not be considered as grand or as eye catching as the Old Parliament Building, on Old Parliament Lane. It is now The Arts House a multi-disciplinary arts venue.

Worth stopping to have a look if in the area.

There are other interesting buildings nearby, the unusual shaped Supreme Court, National Gallery of Singapore and the Singapore Academy of Law

From the outside, it's a beautiful building. However, due to ongoing works, I was not allowed to enter. Oddly enough, several years ago, I wasn't allowed in because my dressing was inappropriate.

I shall not allow myself to be disheartened, and will be sure to attempt another time for my next visit to Singapore!

It is located other side of the river. It looks like an ordinary building though the place is good. Good location.

It's just another building, it's fine to take photos, I was part of a walking tour and if I remember our guide went to check if we could enter on the day but we couldn't. From what he said you can sometimes get inside.
Really it's of historical significance, not worth wasting time for this when theres so much more around
