Jino was a great instructor! It was a great tour! He asked what I wanted to achieve during my extended tour and worked around this. He explained things and answered my questions very clearly and helped me understand some concepts and things about my camera that I had previously struggled with. He actually helped me set up some custom buttons and sort out a problem I was having. While these things may be quite basic, I have no doubt that he also has a lot to offer more advanced photographers.
I love the applied learning style. We went to some interesting places that I would not have found alone! We covered day, twighlight and night photography. My confidence and skill level really improved by the end of the tour.
The day on which my tour was scheduled was rainy and I was very appreciative that Jino reorganised his schedule and Aperture Tours allowed me to do it on another day!
He was very pleasant company and was also able to answer some questions about Singapore.
I will look forward to another tour with Jino when I return to Singapore. I’ll also be checking out Aperture tours in other places I visit.

I had the opportunity in Singapore to take two photo tours with Aperture. The contracting was easy on the web, the first allowed me to visit Chinatown, seen from buildings and places I could not have imagined. I was guided diligently to take the best photos, from the best angles. Also the night tour was very interesting, Anya took me in front of Garden Bay where at 8 pm, there is a show of light and sound, we toured the bridge, Promenade and the whole new area of the bicentennial with the maximum information, the best approaches , with first-hand information. The tour did not concentrate excessively on the technique but on the best location, the best angles and the great knowledge of the city of Anya. My best impression was the efficiency of the hiring, the punctuality and ease to connect, I will repeat.

This is my second time with Aperture Tours. First in Paris, and now in Singapore. I adored my time with Ani in Singapore. I enjoy photography as a hobby, and have taken adult education classes at home that have improved my skills. However, nothing beats the coaching provided while taking pictures so that you can truly get the picture that you want. I couldn't be happier with my time with Ani in Singapore. Because Paris went so well, I decided to book two tours in Singapore - a 3-hour daytime and 3 hour nighttime. Six hours seems like a lot of time, but the time just goes quickly. I enjoyed the assistance in improving technical aspects of my photography (e.g., shutter speed, aperture) so that my photos would improve. I felt like I had a pretty good grasp on composition - but her feedback also helped to improve this aspect. I also really enjoyed being taken to locations I wouldn't have know about to get the right shots. Even if you have strong skills, I think this aspect of the photo tour makes it worth the price. Everything she showed me and worked with me on, helped me as I continued to take pictures independently for the rest of my trip. As I continue to travel, I will look to see if an Aperture Tour is available at my locations. In fact, I'm planning on gifting a tour for my sister-in-law, if I can arrange it, while she is in Paris.

Anya provided great information on our cameras as well as information on how to best frame shots and then walked us to some outstanding locations to practice. The day was wet and steamy but Anya's locations were out of the weather and provided a different and interesting perspective for our photos. Really good and enjoyable tour.

I recently went on a 4 hour night photography session with Anya in Singapore.
What a great time photographing those special places that you see on the brochures and magazines and wish for. Anya was so helpful and her knowledge of the location and technique required was exceptional. I came away with some very special images.

The afternoon and evening combined photo tour of Singapore with Michelle was one of the most rewarding and exhilarating travel experiences of my life. Michelle's knowledge of many quirky and photogenic locations allowed me to capture the essence of the city. She was also technically very helpful and patient, as I was using a new mirrorless camera. Thoughtfully, Michelle asked about my photography interests, and tailored the tour accordingly. I also appreciated Michelle's tips on other areas to visit on later days. The opportunity to spend time one-on-one with a charming professional photographer with in-depth knowledge of a location was pure gold! I will look for Aperture Tours in my future travel destinations. Thank you Michelle!

My 15 year-old daughter had previously taken a similar experience in Paris. Visiting Singapore for 6 days, she went on a day shoot and, having enjoyed it so much, followed-up with an evening shoot. Her local expert, Justin, was a delight and not only highlighted the best locations but assisted her in creating the perfect shot. In particular, the night time shoot provided her with some amazing opportunities. On the second shoot she felt at ease enough to go solo with Justin. I would thoroughly recommend this tour for photographers of any standard; my daughter is at the very beginning of her photographic experience. An excellent tour. One final point - Justin was most useful in pointing us towards the best value photography shop!

Worked with Jino on a largely tourist sites extended photography tour of Singapore. This was understood and agreed by me. It provided me with a guide on how to get around as this was my first day on my first visit to the country.
I enjoyed Jino's company. He was easy going and prepared to help me a lot as he didn't bring his own camera. We tried to get different takes on some of the iconic locations and the session went into the evening so night shots were a great way to end my time with Jino. He put himself out to make the session fruitful but maybe the locations and the crowds didn't give Jino the opportunity to show his full potential. As I said earlier, I did want to see the iconic sites. Thanks Jino. I'll remember with satisfaction our time together.

Ayan was wonderfully patient as he brought us around, showing us tips and tricks of nailing the right shot. It was professional and insightful going as far as to lend me his filters to grab beautiful long exposures

This was my 3rd tour with Aperture Tours - there is a reason why I keep coming back!
With each and every tour I learn more and more about the settings on my camera, but also get to know the cities with a local. I was lucky to spend an afternoon with Jino in Singapore.
I was able to take some good photos of the sights and from locations that a normal tourist wouldn't know how to get to. 6 hours just flew by between running around to take 'the shot' and sharing nice chats/laughs in between.
With each and every tour I learn more and more about the settings on my camera, but also get to know the cities with a local. I was lucky to spend an afternoon with Jino in Singapore.
