Due to the covid19 situation, Hello SG tours offer tours specifically tailored to Singapore Residents. We have been living in Singapore for just over 2 years and never got round to doing a tour of Singapore. During our staycation, we opted for the “Our Grandfathers tour” which is a 3.5 hour tour around Chinatown. Our guide Gee Soo was very knowledgeable and was fantastic, he kept our 6 and 9 Year old interested through out the whole 3.5 hr walking tour! We learnt about the early migrants and their life back then. No tour of Singapore will be complete without food! We visited an historic restaurant that is famous for it’s fish soup, a bakery, and a very popular dessert store. We also experienced a tea ceremony, where we were taught how to properly prepare (brew , pour) and drink tea! All in all a very enjoyable time. I highly recommend it if you live in SG and not been on a SG tour.

If you have half a day to spare in Singapore I strongly recommend you take this tour. At first it looked a bit expensive because we were two, but we decided to do it because we were so curious about the local food and it turned to be the best decision. Our guide Su was so kkowledgeable and we enjoyed every minute of the 6 hours. We explored some of the neighborhoods in Singapore and tried great food and also made some friends along the way from our tour.
Don't eat before this tour or at maximum have a light breakfast because even though the dishes are to share with tour members at the end we felt pretty full.
We started the day with a breakfast, which I think was one of the dishes I enjoyed the most: Kaya butter toasts, Soft boiled eggs with Kopi & Teh. Other dishes and drinks that I liked a lot: Beef Rendang, Sambal Goreng, Chicken and Beef Murtabak, Original Dosa, Masala Tea and Indian Sweet, Teh Tarik, Carrot Cake.
Along the way Su told us about the history of Singapore, history of Peranakan cuisine and we took some group pictures. We asked her what other dishes we should try and what other parts of the city we should visit and she was more than happy to help us. At the end of the tour she sent us via email a list of the dishes we tried and what other dishes to try along with the best places to try them.
We wanted to go to a sushi place and she recommended us some places and we chose Box n Sticks, we ate really good food sushi and other dishes recommended by the waitress.
The guide told us that Haji Lane is a really popular hangout area. We went there in the evening when the bars were open and it was really great. Also in that area there are a lot of great places to eat.
I recommend this tour in the first day in Singapore if you can because afterwards you will have a list of suggestions with places to eat and dishes to try and places to visit.
Overall it was a great experience and would repeat it :)

A fantastic time with “Helo Singapore”, for six hours we walked its streets, climbed its towers and rode its transports, We found its heart, its street food and the “Shop House” communities of its historic ethnic quarter’s

My husband and I booked a private 7 hour car tour with the wonderful Gee Soo Boo as our tour guide and Richard was our safe and steady driver. We really enjoyed the entire day. We had a good mix of sightseeing and learning the history and current culture of Singapore! Gee Soo was amazing! He really made us feel comfortable right from the start and was so accommodating and kind and patient with us throughout the day. He is extremely knowledgeable as he answered every question we had and his enthusiasm for his love of Singapore is infectious. We loved his friendly demeanor and felt he was enjoying showing us around as much as we were enjoying the tour.
We really saw a lot in our 7 hours...from City Gallery (fascinating to learn about the vision and planning of the city), to Chinatown (where Gee Soo bought us Pandan Chiffon Cake-yum), to my husbands favorite part...lunch at a hawker market (Tiong Bahru Market) where we tried so many delicious dishes! I'm still dreaming about the Fried Kway Tiao and Carrot Cake! From there, we had a lovely stop at the peak of Mount Faber for an interesting view of the southern islands and then on to the National Gallery Singapore which was perfect for our last stop of the day!
On our way back to the hotel Richard drove us down Orchard Road which is definitely the place to go if you want to get your shopping on!!!

We did the 4 hour private tour by car, and it was just the right amount of time. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. We customized the tour to focus on the parts of the city we hadn’t seen. He took photos of our entire group during the day and emailed them, as well as a summary of our stops. Would highly recommend it, you get a depth of information about the country you couldn’t get any other way. We had 5 people in our group, which was perfect for the small van.

My husband, three kids, and I had a 7 hr layover in Singapore and booked a personalized car tour with Hello! Singapore. Su Ling was our tour guide, and she was fantastic!
She contacted me through What’s App as my plane landed and had a van waiting for us right outside of baggage claim. The van was clean and cool already, and she had waters waiting for us after the long flight.
We did not have Singapore dollars yet, so she was able to quickly point us to an ATM. As we drove to our first stop, she gave us an overview of our itinerary and a brief history of Singapore. She pointed out important landmarks, etc on our drive and answered our many questions.
Our first stop was Gardens by the Bay (note that tickets are not included, so you’ll need purchase before entry). This visit was incredible and so much more impressive than I expected. Su took dozens of family photos for us and pointed out the more interesting features.
Afterwards we made our way back to the van and drove to our next destination, Marina Bay, where we saw many of the Singapore landmarks, including Merlion. Again, Su took family photos and ensured we documented the day appropriately.
We had one final stop - Maxwell Hawker Center - where Su introduced us to fried carrot cake, sugarcane juice, and more.
The day was a flurry of activity, but we felt like we made the most out of our short time in country. Su drove us back to the airport and ensured we found the right check in counter. Thank you so much, Su Ling, for making it a special day in Singapore!

Richard was a wonderful tour guide! He customized the experience to match my interest, showing me both well known sights and hidden gems. He was extremely knowledgeable and shared fascinating stories about the history, culture and architecture of the city as well as a few personal stories. He made sure I had an exceptional experience and even shared pictures with me afterwards - which, as a single traveler with a limited time to explore Singapore, was truly appreciated.

Amazing food tour amidst pandemic. The tour guy Gee Soo was very friendly and informative. He explained everything in details and also clicked group photos for us at all the locations. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to taste the real variety of street food in Singapore.

May you be so lucky as to get Gee Soo as your guide. I took this tour on my first full day in Singapore and if I could give it 10 stars, I would. Gee Soo has boundless energy and enthusiasm and carefully takes you through many neighborhoods not only allowing you to learn about and taste delicious food but also to understand and experience the different cultures that make Singapore the amazing place that it is. He has a wealth of information to share, and after six hours, you leave with full bellies and so much new knowledge.
Incredibly, he takes pictures of you and the group along the way and then provides a full itinerary of exactly what you tasted and saw. You can also download the photos from the shared drive that is provided for you after the tour. Just wonderful!
I cannot say enough about the depth and breadth of what we were able to taste and see. The tour is well organized, well paced, and is not too demanding. There is some walking and it is quite hot, but we stayed in the shade when he was speaking to us about the different neighborhoods and it was not uncomfortable despite the high humidity. Ample hydration is provided throughout the tour, and hand sanitizer is also readily available. Do yourself a favor if you are in Singapore: take this tour! These memories will last a lifetime for me. Gee Soo went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing experience, and his kindness, knowledge, and incredible hospitality were so greatly appreciated.

We took part in a luxury tour with five children. I was worried about the hot weather, but... I was just worried about it. To Guide I designed the line so scientifically that I passed through a medium-medium historic building, so it was time to get closer to Singapore and listen to a rich explanation without worrying about the heat. @nybone; TA asked that I respond to your enquiry as I had recently reviewed Hello Singapore.
We found them via TripAdvisor, and liked the description of their approach. Our tour guide was Su Ling Loi. I have no direct contact for her but have no doubt that if you ask for her in your enquiry bookings they'll oblige. Our brief was to get under the skin of the city, feel where the communes are, a little bit of history, local foods etc as we had recently relocated to SG.
Tour was 6 or so hours including a lunch stop. Lots of insights, and fun. Using subway (MRT) and buses, cost included in the price of approx S$125 each - there were 4 of us.
TripAdvisor doesn't allow one to post email addresses. Sure they have a website.

We loved Hello Singapore and had Gee Soo for two (private) tours. We did the city walking tour which covered a lot of attractions like the Singapore Flyer and we had a traditional Chinese tea ceremony which was really fun.
We did a food tour, as well. You can't go wrong with Gee Soo or this tour group. Fantastic job and great attention to detail. They will customize a private tour to see whatever you want.

Hi Chris, it is 100% possible to do our foodie tour as a vegetarian. If you are a vegan and do not eat anything with eggs or butter or milk in then it does mean that you wouldn't be able to eat at several of the stops. In this case I would recommend a customised tour instead. We can do a customised tour with some foodie highlights which cater to vegans but with a wider range of other topics in, not just a food focus.
