Whenever I'm in Singapore I make it a point to visit the Past Perfect Collection @ the Tan Boon Liat Building (opposite the Furama Riverfront hotel). They have an excellent, unique and large collection of Indian antiques in their beautifully styled showroom. The Dutch owners have lived in India and are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. If you're looking for a truly original piece that will last you a lifetime, this is the place to go!

The Past Perfect Collection is a gem of an antique store in Singapore's Tan Boon Liat Building. Their wide range of beautifully restored colonial furniture is a feast for the eyes. We also like their fine selection of stylish accessories, including Good Earth tableware and decorative silver items that are great to own or buy as gifts. The entire collection is beautifully displayed in a well-designed and cosy showroom. The friendly owners, Pieter and Marie van Houten, are knowledgeable and dedicated antique lovers. They can tell you a lot about the origin of the piece or pieces you're interested in. They go to great length to meet your needs, and stand ready to ship your item(s) to wherever in the world you may need them.

Bought a beautiful 19th century writing box perfectly restored. The shop is beautifully set up with great furniture pieces and objects. The owner is friendly and knowledgeable. Take a step back in time and enjoy the visit!

Superbly restored, unique colonial furniture and accessories from various foregone eras in India.
Excellent sales attendant who actually listens to a customer and provides expert advice and a wonderful interior design perspective.

Fabulous display of Indian colonial furniture plus vintage tiffins and other things. A slight pilgrimage to find but worth the trip! Very welcoming staff too.

I went to Tan Boon Liat building and was amazed by the amount of lifestyle shops there!
Especialy charmed by the Indian colonial wooden furniture that all comes with their own story as where they were found and how Past Perfect had restored them beautifully!
You really must go there!

Wonderful collection of colonial antique furniture, a wide collection that changes on a regular basis because the owners keep on sourcing for new pieces. Love also the various smaller accessories; great to give as a present. Great vibes in the store and very friendly and knowledgeable owners.

A true classy & expansive showroom with nothing but exquisite & treasure pieces. A visit will want you to bring back some of this ultimate stylish time into your own home. Together with the Good Earth tableware they also sell, one cannot go wrong. The Dutch owners have full knowledge of the history to guide you with your purchase.
