Singapore Duck Tour

63 reviews
Explore Singapore on a 1-hour duck tour, known officially as DUCKtours®, which allows you to see city sights by both land and water. On ‘the duck,’ an amphibious military vehicle that was refurbished from World War II, you’ll drive around the city to check out attractions like the Fountain of Wealth and Singapore Flyer. Then hit the water to cruise past landmarks like the Merlion, Singapore’s famous statue that sits where the Singapore River meets Marina Bay. Audio commentary is included.

Venus Loop at Windsor park consists of a boardwalk and a forest trail in a loop. I like the forest trail here as it is very peaceful and rustic and I called it "my secret garden". I often walk here after exiting from Macritchie Nature Trail. One can either walk this forest trail to the Tree Top walk or walk the boardwalk section of the Venus Loop to the Tree Top walk. It is a very manageable and easy walk.

This is a fairly small nature strip with some good boardwalks which connect through to MacRitchie Nature Reserve. Well maintained and with good facilities.

This is a wonderful piece of nature park very near to the city. Parking is available and there is a map of the park with recommended walks starting from a basic 3km to more than a 10km walk. We chose to do the tree top walk which was not difficult, the trails were good and easy to walk. The suspended bridge is very nice and the monkeys around it are not too aggressive but nevertheless do be careful with your belongings and handphones. Worth the morning spent here amongst nature and would be back soon.

People come to Singapore for food and shopping. Fair enough - but they forget that Singapore is in the tropics, and tropics are full of natural charm. One thing I always recommend to tourists and friends is to find time for a day-hike, or at least half-day if they are pressed with time. The Windsor nature hike is suitable for singles, couples and families. There are many options within, just study the map therein and choose sth that suits you. You can hike for one hour, or a full day - your choice. If you leave home without it, it is your problem - it means you are not interested in nature - your problem.

Good paths to lead you up to the Tree Top walk and back down. About 6kms. Tree top is worth the visit for the views and the view over the trees. We managed to get up close to a couple of long tailed Macaques at the TT entrance and a ranger pointed out a pit viper. So much nature and space on a crowded island. A good break for the family
