With a long standing track record in Asian cuisine, through our culinary education team, Coriander Leaf is aiming to act in a thought leadership capacity and be at the forefront of innovative culinary experiences and learning. Whether it is conventional cooking classes, developing new and innovative courses, expanding to the online cooking community, or delivering a distinct variety of unique and memorable cooking experiences, Coriander Leaf has always pushed the boundaries and created a reputation for culinary excellence. At our core is Asian cuisine, yet this is the tip of the iceberg in terms of the depth and breadth of culinary courses we aim to provide. We design menus that provide our guests with a strong grounding. In this way, our guests learn specific dishes as well as the insights and techniques necessary to become an insider in the cuisines of Asia! We emphasize home cooking and stick mainly to dishes that one can replicate at home. Our cooking studios are equipped with home cooking appliances reinforcing our commitment to teaching our guests something they will incorporate into their standard repertoire. Each class presents an integrated menu that can be prepared at home rather than a random selection of dishes.

When recently in Singapore my husband gave me a voucher to attend the Streets of Singapore class at the Coriander Leaf with Samia Ahad! It was one of the best gifts he has ever given me (next to a new handbag of course)! I love to cook but have frequently struggled when I have tried to make asian cuisine, often... More

While on our last trip to Singapore we decided to do a cooking class at the Coriander Leaf down on Clarke Quay. A little hard to find at first but once there all is forgotten. We took the class with Samia Ahad (the owner) and Eddie Tay, and did the Singapore Classics. We were so glad we did, 7 recipes... More

I only had a couple of days in Singapore on this trip but the day I spent at the Coriander Leaf made this short holiday very special. Samia...a fantastic, generous chef. Eddy....sous chef extraordinaire, side kick to Samia, right hand man!!!! The coriander leaf kitchen has been perfectly designed for the purpose of instruction. You're given all the recipes in... What a great 4 hours. Samia and her side kick Eddy (sous chef I suppose we would call him, but gimp would be equally descriptive) provided not only a wonderful 8 courses from soup through to a chile icecream which was weird but nice. This isnt a hands on course but it is as close as you can get with... More

After reading TA we booked as a group of 4 to attend the Cooking Classes. One of our trip highlights, we had a great time learn;t a lot and loved the food. Very informal Samia put you at ease and was happy to answer questions, during the demonstrations. She also sat with us over coffee and a chat what an... More

My husband and I attended the Thai II cooking class on January 30, 2013 while vacationing in Singapore, after deciding to do something completely different. WOW, what a truly unique and very inspiring class. Chef Samia was every bit the professional. An extremely talented and entertaining chef and teacher! We enjoyed every aspect of the preparation and cooking as well... More

Fantastic cooking class with magnificent food!... The class is an observation class with snippets of taste testing as you go along but the final food presentation and platters that you get to devour at the end were worth the wait. The idea of watching instead of a 'hands on' approach means that you get to experience many more dishes in... More

What a pleasure to find a truly professional and yet very relaxed cooking experience. Samoa has a wealth of knowledge about SE Asian food and delivers it with charm and wit. And when we got to taste it well all I can say is superb!

This was an absolutely marvelous experience. Samia is both a brilliant chef and brilliant, utterly charming teacher. My husband and I took Singapore Classics with dishes like pepper crab, boon hee, chicken w dried red pepper, spring rolls. At first we were a little wary that it was a demonstration course rather than hands on but it's extremely interactive and... More
