With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander past traditional barbershops while local residents in brightly coloured saris patronize retailers from decades past. Peruse streets lined with colourful shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge. Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts and take in the stalls selling bright flowers, fabrics, and spices. At the 24-hour, four-level Mustafa Shopping Centre, you can shop through the night and find everything from pharmacy and grocery items to Bollywood DVDs and diamond necklaces. Singapore’s Little India offers a colourful, lively taste of the subcontinent and is well worth the visit.

An interesting place with many interesting items on display. Situated along Jalan Besar road, you may not notice it’s existence. There was many rare gems to be uncovered. The shop owner is very knowledgeable in the Peranakan cultures. I learned a lot from her sharing. Now that we cannot travel overseas, this is one good place to explore locally

Got the most amazing work of art nonya kebaya here and had the most awesome time discussing it and hanging out with the friendly, knowledgeable proprietress. She also has tea classes and other things. Will treasure this hand-embroidered kebaya for the rest of my life. I have never seen such amazing embroidery. Thrilled!

We are interior design company and often recommend Katia Verde to our clients. The selection and pricing is perfectly balanced. We also put few art pieces in our design studio :-). Owner of gallery Katie has great knowledge about art and always ready to help. We highly recommend :-) Lukas, Director of LD Studio

The variety of items is amazing... We bought two paintings which are the centerpiece of our living room, and none of the guests have ever managed to come close to guessing the friendly price which Katie offered us!

I enjoy visiting this charming shophouse, it has got a lot of antique look stuff, suitable for home decor or gifts for friends and families, with affordable price range.
