The area
Address
Neighbourhood: Marina Bay
More of a mini city than a neighbourhood in the traditional sense, the iconic Marina Bay aims to dazzle and entertain visitors of all kinds. This is the Singapore found in glossy brochures, featuring a world-class hotel, casino, shops, restaurants, bars, and other attractions all geared towards pure entertainment. The SkyPark at Marina Bay Sands provides a stunning view of the city, a must-see photo opportunity for visitors and locals alike. The ArtScience Museum always has a top-quality exhibition, and Gardens by the Bay is a fascinating manifestation of the government’s vision of Singapore as a “city in a garden”. Enticing Marina Bay is well worth a visit.

You can expect to see the whole of Singapore right here. During my time of visit, the observation deck was so spacious. Good to chill out.

It is well worth a trip up to the top as you really do get some great views, we were lucky to get up as they do stop during any times there is lightning in the area and it was on and off on the day we went, great views of Singapore though

Did a sunrise yoga at the observation deck with the Virgin Active team. Instructor Lynne provided a nice ambience for practice.

This is my highlight tourist attraction of Singapore so far. I do love good views of good cities though and this didn't disappoint. You can take your time and enjoy the view up there. I went before sunset and it was nice to see. Not very crowded which surprised me but covid times I guess.

It's a view especially having to witness the sunset shining on the glorious city and the glamorous night view of the whole CBD landscape.

However, we must mention the poor facilitation of managing this attraction. First of all, we were told that we must use the escalator no matter what even though we have a pram with us. (with full knowledge that parents with pram should not be using the escalator) The staff even said "we have only but this entrance to Skypark via B1" - but then we realized after coming down from Skypark that there is a lift level at L1 via the hotel lobby.

Secondly, we took a good 30mins to come down from the Skypark as there were only three lifts...

Nice skyline view of southern Singapore. However it might be costing too much if you're not a hotel guest. Night view for the lights.

It was really an amazing experience and one of the best evenings on my Singapore trip. You will be able to watch the mesmerizing water show on the adjacent lake and the lighting of the dragon balls in the garden by the bay. One night stay in the Marina Bay Sands hotel would be a lifetime experience chilling in the infinity pool.

This is a very curious high rise park, way up in the sky, a place to admire the skyline which is a major feature of this skyscraper city. And there is a cafe.
