Neighbourhood: Marina Bay
More of a mini city than a neighbourhood in the traditional sense, the iconic Marina Bay aims to dazzle and entertain visitors of all kinds. This is the Singapore found in glossy brochures, featuring a world-class hotel, casino, shops, restaurants, bars, and other attractions all geared towards pure entertainment. The SkyPark at Marina Bay Sands provides a stunning view of the city, a must-see photo opportunity for visitors and locals alike. The ArtScience Museum always has a top-quality exhibition, and Gardens by the Bay is a fascinating manifestation of the government’s vision of Singapore as a “city in a garden”. Enticing Marina Bay is well worth a visit.

We booked our sky deck experience via the Marina Bay Sands hotel website and chose the “Sunset in the Sky” package. It was worth every dollar because it had exceeded all of our expectations and that’s how exceptional it is. We are family of 4 and the package was pricey for champagne and chocolates, but what we didn’t know was that it was way way way more than that. I won’t spoilt your experience by detailing everything. But if you have the time for this, CHOOSE THIS ONE over the others. We didn’t need to do separate dinner reservations because we could order food from the menu and also from other restaurants in the sky deck. This itself is pretty amazing. Not only did we experience sunset, we also enjoyed the night view. Cocktails, champagne, chocolates and food is amazing! What made this experience special was every member of the crew who took care of us. It was such a personal touch and we felt so special and got to know so much about each other and Singapore. Best experience package I have ever been on. We cherish every moment forever. Got to keep the photo albums and digital copies too!!!

We booked the sunset in the sky experience through the marina Bay sons hotel website, after I’d seen that to book a table at the bar the minimum spend of $200 per person. Instead we found this experience which by far exceeded all our expectations and is in my mind very good value for money.
Once you arrive, you’ll get greeted by a member of staff (thank you Edmund) and whisked up to the deck without having to queue. You then get a guided tour of the observation space with lots of information on Singapore and different landmarks, very interesting (thank you Adam).
Once finished you’re taken to your own private table on a roped area of the deck where champagne and chocolate await. If hungry you could easily order food from the menu, which we did. The photographer will take plenty of pictures of the family and you get to keep two hardcopies each and all the digital ones from your table you have the best view in the house, the whole staff make sure that you are looked after like it true VIP and amazing feeling and experience.
We cannot think Adam, Edmund and the whole staff enough for this memorable evening, just amazing.

We visited MBS sky park at night so had beautiful view of Singapore at night including the gardens light show from above which for me was better than the ground level option. It was busy and you need to know you only get to a small portion of the roof so can’t really see the pool etc also if you want to use the bar etc this involved paying a lot more than the already pricey entrance fees
Overall worth a visit but one of the more expensive $ per minute attractions in Singapore

In a large city that develops vertically, I believe that it is always advisable to climb to the top in order to appreciate the conformation and the various buildings that surround you; it is the desk par excellence. The ticket to reach the 50th floor costs around 20 euros per person. From the platform you can admire all of Singapore, from the circuit to the tallest towers up to the Garden by the bay, as well as the hotel's infinity pool. Recommended

We bought the ticket for peak hour, it was actually quite crowded but you still managed to have a beautiful view of the city.
On one side you can see the skyline, on the other the Gardens by the Bay.
We went just before sunset and it was beautiful to see the city light up as the sun went down.
At 8pm and 9pm they also do two light and music shows, one at the trees of the Gardens by the Bay and the other at the Bayfront in front of the Marina Bay Sands. From the SkyPark you can see them well.
The nice thing is that the ticket doesn't have a time limit but you can stay on as long as you want.

My partner and I went up-to the Observation Deck today of the Marina Bay Sands. For the past few days we have always had the MBS in nearly all of our photos, so we thought it was about time we actually went up there and had a look as well. The view is truly breathtaking and simply put, we totally enjoyed the panoramic vistas.
There are many spots for couple photos as well as amazing shots of the Singapore skyline. There are enough scattered seating to take a rest or to just sit and gaze out at the views. There is also food and drinks available & also a bathroom on the same level.
Hot tip: Please note if you are currently a Sands Rewards Lifestyle prestige member, there is a substantial discount available: we paid $10 less than the full rate for the first ticket and the second ticket was complimentary. This is well worth asking about. You will of course need to present your card while buying the tickets and enter your security pin to get the discount.

Avoid queuing by booking an early time slot online, such as when it opens. Check the weather forecast beforehand as the temple may close in bad weather. Enjoy stunning views of the entire city and the ships in the bay from this vantage point.

The Skypark is located at Tower 3 of Marina Bay Sands. When I came here at 9.50 am, there was already a long queue of Korean tourists waiting for the Skypark to open. Before I could feel the pressure on my ear, the lift had already shoot up to the 56th floor. It was really fast at fantastic speed without you feeling it. I thought I may have dizzy spells or vomiting since the lift ascends in that high speed, but I realized that my body didn't even have the time to react to the shock.
The panoramic view of Singapore cityscape at the Observation Deck was awesome and spectacular. I believed it would be even more beautiful at night when the colorful lights at the Garden by the Bay lit up sparkling under the twinkle little stars.
It was windy and the deck is very spacious. I wandered from one corner of the deck to another enjoying the panoramic views. But I supposed the feeling of the tourists is different from mine. When I was at the Twin Tower at Kuala Lumpur, my feeling is one of a foreigner. Here, whatever I saw from the deck, every inch of the street, every building, every iconic landmark, the Merlion sculpture, every tiny little structure is so familiar to me, and I feel the close connection with them.
Because this is my country.

Best visit the Deck after 5pm, then hanging around until sunset, you can see Singapore landscape in two different angles. Then leave at 7:30pm and go down to see the free Spectra Light Show. Afterward, have a dinner at the food court, and stroll through the Helix Bridge to finish the day. Remember to book the ticket to the Deck in advance, it is very full.

We were very excited about seeing the views from the top. Unfortunately it’s very crowded at night and you can only walk about half of the way around the top. We thought we could sit down at one of the bars and have a drink but you have to make a reservation for the bar even though it was not full. You do get some good views but I have been to several skyscrapers around the world which are more accommodating to guests.

Hi, can you buy a drink on the observation deck, or do you have to book in at the bar
Written 3 March 2025
Hi, thinking of booking tickets online a couple of weeks in advance as we will be there in sept at time of car race so expect it to be busy. But am worried that you have to pick a nominated time ie 1pm, 3pm - what happens if you turn up early or later, do they still regard these as booked tickets and allow you to skip the booking queue? Hard to stick to a schedule when sightseeing. I know it is timed bookings after 5 but am interested in earlier.

I can see the entry time is 15 mins apart, whats the time u can spend there?
Written 25 April 2023
There was no time limit as to how long you can stay. We saw people that had been there most all evening and some were in line to leave right after coming up. Take your time and enjoy the view!

Bonjour à tous, faut-il réserver à l’avance pour monter et boire un verre par exemple ? ou pas de souci à le faire le moment même ?
Written 14 July 2022
I think you are asking does it need booked in advance, like a lot of things in Singapore you do need to buy the tickets electronically to get a bar code. We did book the tickets onthe day though, seem to remember you booked for a time range which might have been more to do with COVID regulations, they do shut for lightning as well for safety reasons

Hi
So reviews say best to go to bar and get a drink , two things do we need to pre book and how did people get the drinks voucher.?
Are the Gardens by the Bay by/ under/on the hotel .?
Regards

I believe the Gardens are a fair little walk from the hotel I seem to remember walking across bridges. We did it at night, very pretty walk.

I booked via TripAdvisor and have received my confirmation. The attachment has a link called GET TICKET, when this opens it says in red THIS IS NOT YOUR ENTRY TICKET. How do I obtain this?
In addition I bought as a gift for my parents on my personal credit card, the ID which they present will differ from my card details, is this likely to be an issue?

When you get to the Marina Bay Sands Hotel, there is a ticket office and machines for you to collect or purchase tickets. Once purchased you get into the lifts and go up 56 floors to the observation deck/57 doors to the restaurant/bar. Fantastic experience

If wanting to visit the rooftop bar at Marina Bay Sands for a cocktail and to look at the view over Singapore, is there a cost to enter the bar.
Also does the bar have another name or is it just called The Rooftop Bar?
Thanks

When we buy ticket to Marina Bay Sands skypark, can we go to the swimming pool? Do we have to pay more extra to go to the pool or is it only allowed for hotel guests only?
Written 19 November 2019
Hotel guests only. You can go up and eat drink at the sky bar without paying a fee, rather than buying tickets for the skypark.
