Neighbourhood: Marina Bay
More of a mini city than a neighbourhood in the traditional sense, the iconic Marina Bay aims to dazzle and entertain visitors of all kinds. This is the Singapore found in glossy brochures, featuring a world-class hotel, casino, shops, restaurants, bars, and other attractions all geared towards pure entertainment. The SkyPark at Marina Bay Sands provides a stunning view of the city, a must-see photo opportunity for visitors and locals alike. The ArtScience Museum always has a top-quality exhibition, and Gardens by the Bay is a fascinating manifestation of the government’s vision of Singapore as a “city in a garden”. Enticing Marina Bay is well worth a visit.

Want your choice of every single luxury handbag, watch, jewelry, or clothing brand on planet earth? The shopping mall at Marina Bay Sands has you covered. Even among other luxury malls I’ve visited, this one felt like it had more intense luxury than I’d ever seen before. Jutting out into the bay (linked to the mall though) is also the world’s coolest Apple store and Louis Vuitton. There are dining venues of varying price points, as well as underground connections to the MRT station and a pedestrian bridge to Gardens By The Bay.

The only place my wallet would allow me to patron here was the Starbucks, but this mall is still a fun, indoor walking adventure, especially on a rainy hour.

You have to love the cleanliness and style of shops in Singapore and the Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands are another great example.

When you come from little old Perth in Western Australia, you just realise how small we are....well....in Perth Australia. Here you have very big brand (sometimes more than one outlet of the same brand on different floors. There are no price advantages being in Singapore, so the costs stack up pretty much the same as other capital cities. But the sheer volume of shops and the commercial indulgence everywhere just makes you feel sucked in and part of the frenzy.

A great way to escape the heat and humidity from the comfort of the air conditioned mall.

I enjoy this mall since it has a distinct atmosphere than other malls in Indonesia and because it has quite a few restaurants that are rated by Michelin chefs. There are a lot of stores that sell branded brands, but the pricing are really rather amazing.
As soon as we stepped foot inside Marina Bay Sands for the very first time, we were greeted by a shopping center complete with opulent boutiques.
Complete with amenities, such as a theater for performances and a little river for gondolas to navigate
so even if there are a lot of people there, it does not feel or appear to be crowded at all.

If looking for a place to splurge this place is perfect. The mall is filled with what seems like endless luxury brand and high end restaurants and cafes. Even the stalls at its food court is at a different level with prices to match.
The mall also houses a performance theater which does bring in some great musical productions, a casino and even an indoor boat ride. Easily accessible by the local train network and connected to the Gardens by the Bay.
For such a huge and spacious mall, there is a lack of proper resting area to rest one’s feet from all the walking about. Leaving one with little option of either going into an overpriced F&B outlet or sit outdoors in the topical humidity. Basic facilities like washrooms seem to be hidden as the directional signs are not clear or obvious.
Just like some luxurious couture, the mall is amazing to look at but its practicality and functionality may not be for everyone.

Marina Bay Sands shopping mall is located in Singapore’s most iconic building. It’s a beautiful shopping mall with so many extravagant shops which carry exorbitant price tag for most people, unless you’re a “Crazy Rich Asians”. There are so many dining options from Michelin starred to affordable fast food court options such that one should be able to find something that works. It’s a must place to visit if it’s your first time visiting Singapore (or second time like us)

Many people complain how high end the shops are but there are many non high end shops too, like Zara, Charles & Keith etc. Maybe many may complain how high end the restaurants are too, byt there is Din taifung, Breadtalk etc. Not to mention the views. Worth a few hours. Certainly a top 3 mall in Singapore

I visited for the first time in a while, and the number of shops has increased, which was overwhelming. However, it seems like there are fewer people than before, and fewer people shopping. Is it because of the global recession? High-end brands are cheaper to buy in Japan. The attitude of the store clerks varies greatly depending on the brand. It's probably better for your mental health if you don't have high expectations.

A light filled mall - quite a nice contrast to many of the other malls in Singapore. The food court is excellent. Many good, reasonably-priced restaurants, too. A lot of expensive shops, some mid-range. The boat ride is silly and overpriced.

Luxury shopping mall with premium/luxury brands shops. Very decent food court in the basement level, great choice of different local cuisine. Underground station directly under mall, serving as commuting point to Gardens by the Bay, shopping centre itself or for evening light show.

This mall is pretty big with all the upscale stores that you have heard of. You can access via the MRT (Bayfront) as well as the convention center, MBS, and a casino. We didn't go for shopping. We went for eating. The basement is basically one giant food court with cuisines from almost all Asian countries. But it gets really crowded I. The evenings.
