We were in the area and had a walk around this shopping centre. There are lots of shops and some restaurants. The shopping centre links to other shopping centres and others are just a few minutes walk down the road. The place is good to have a walk around

We visited this mall and had a lunch deal at the Japanese Craft Beer bar called JiBtru.
There is a good selection of eateries and retailers. My wife loves Zara and visted that store.
We were thinking this are might be a great area to stay next time we are in Singapore.

I used to walk to Somerset Station when I was living in Singapore. Then, they made 313@Somerset and transformed the place!
There are some excellent shops here. Uniqlo, Timberland, iRun, for instance

Great healthy dining option @ Somerset. Shared a large bowl of salad (+ cubes of salmon + swordfish) with my wife. She had a mixed juice drink. Total$22. ( no GST). Excellent value!

We've been regular clients of several Typo stores in Singapore, It is the first time we've been so unsatisfied. I would like to complain about the Exchanges Returns and Refund Policy of the Typo shop management of SOMERSET 313 ORCHARD RD, #01 - 18, SINGAPORE 238895.
I went to this store on the 3rd December to return items and get refund. I bought the day before in another Typo store. The cashier insisted in saying she couln't accept return but only will exchange for gift card and added that management told her she had to only do exchange in any case.
I told her about the exchange and refund policy of the cotton on group website and that on the receipt, it was mentioned with the receipt proof we can Exchange or Return. The items were not damaged and all with labels and tags and I had the receipt and same debit card used the day before. After I said many times I don t want gift card, I explained that the return was possible regarding the cotton on group policy. Then she asked her manager to come.
The lady manager insisted very strongly to force me to take gift cards instead of refund. I repeated I preferred refund. I explained again what the exchange and return policy said and she replied: IF YOU WANT A REFUND, YOU MUST GO BACK TO YOUR PURCHASE SHOP!
We can exchange in any outlet, why the manager decided Return cannot be done in this shop and ask to go to the purchase store?
What is the purpose to have a global policy of Exchange and Return if each store can chose to apply or not?

As a young adult, I like the vibe of 313 for food and dining. they have a basement in the bottom with lots of more affordable food. they also have larger brands there

313 is another standard shopping centre on Orchard St (extends from Somerset St to Orchard St) with a huge variety of dining options from restaurants and cafes to a large food court on the top floor.
The food court is highly popular with locals at lunch time, so get there early to get a table.

Even though major malls like ION and ngee ann city are nearby, I really liked the vibe and energy of 313.
I cannot put my finger on it, but it has a pleasant and energetic vibe.
Especially the partly outdoor restaurant avenue.
