Singapore offers an awesome deal with these public swimming complexes for a mere dollar or two for the entire day. There's about 20 of them and the Sengkang one is my favorite by far.

It is far from the city center, but easy to reach. Hop onto the purple NE line to the Sengkang stop. Don't leave the station to the bus interchange like I did. The LRT is still within the gates, three escalator rides up. Take it two stops to Farmway. Once there, take Exit B and you should see "Anchorvale Community Club" ahead a few hundred meters. Pass the McDs and you'll be at the entrance of the Sengkang Sports and Rec Centre.

It was almost like a water park. There are multiple slides - fun for adults and kids! The twisted slides were surprisingly fun even for me. There's a small area to tan on lounge chairs if you dare to bear the sun. There's a cute water playground area for kids with slides and fountains and an enormous bucket of water on top that splashes everyone below whenever it fills.

Best of all, there's a sheltered pool where you don't have to be in the sun during the day. It's not as long as the competition pool, I don't think, but still plenty long enough to swim laps. It's shallow so there are tons of kids in there, but better than being burnt. The competition pool is partially shaded but I wouldn't risk it unless it's cloudy or evening time.

Don't wait in line for the shower at the sheltered pool (only 5 showers) if there is one. The other bathroom outside the kids playground has almost 20 showers. The lockers are 40cents for every two hours. The lockers are standard at all the swimming complexes I've been to, but not all of them have these other features - the water slides, sheltered pools, mini water park. If you google "public swimming complex singapore", you'll easily find a list of all the pools and what each location offers.

I'd recommend going during weekdays and not during school holidays. It can get very crowded sometimes, so go early or go late to avoid hordes of kids.

Don't forget your sunblock! :)

This swimming complex is actually a public swimming pool, hence the entry fee is very inexpensive , like $1.50 for adults and $0.80 for children approximately. In there , there are water slides reminiscent of the old "BIG SPLASH" that existed back in the 80's along East Coast park. There are also shallow pools for toddlers to play in , as well as 2 olympic sized pools. Your kids will love this place, as it caters to both young and old. Just next to the complex is a Mcdonalds restaurant. Very convinient . To get there: Take the MRT to Sengkang station , and then hop on to the Sengkang LRT and the swimming complex is 50-100 meters from the LRT stop. If you plan to catch a cab from there, be prepared to wait a while because there are not many cabs that pass that area.

Not sure if any tourist would actually visit this pool.. But anyways, my 2 cents for people who hope to visit... To get there, you have to take the MRT to Sengkang Station on the NEL, change to a LRT to Farmway.. It is a 5 minutes walk from there....

Well the slides are better than Adventure Cove for sure... no queues and just as fast...

Swimming Complex has 1 Olympic size pool.. the slides, 1 indoor pool, 1 small "jacuzzi", a shallow pool with slides for kids and 1 more shallow pool... lots of options for $1.50/- on weekday and $2/- for weekends...

Weekends do get very crowded... and the reason is because of the above.

Senkang Swimming Pool is located inside the Senkang Sports and Recreation Center. It has different types of pools with multi-slide, free fall, speed slide and twist-slides for adults and kids. Kids will enjoy well on these slides. They allow only the kids with atleast 1.2 meter height. The entry fee is very less and entertainment is more.

Clean and very safe true to a Singaporean culture this swimming pool and the facilities are awesome. Open from 8 Am to 9 30 Pm the complex has a competition pool, Teaching pool which is in doors, Fun pool for children, Jacuzzi and 8 slides too.

The attendants are strict in rules and behavior priced at Dollars 1.5 on week days and $2 for week ends seem very reasonable considering the facilities. Monday closed. Senior citizens enjoy 50%concession in entry. Regular swimming classes are conducted.

There is a locker available to keep valuables at 50Cents and a lovely Mcdonald if you need refreshments after swim. Take LRT west loop from Sengkang MRT reach Farmway and a 100 meters walk from LRT.

As it is a sports complex you also have a full fledged GYM with all modern facility and temporary membership for tourists.

There is a huge walk way with cycle track and an island park with river front having lot of herbal plants with descriptions adjacent to this sports complex.. Worth for fitness and for time pass during the day.

We took our 3 year old here while on holiday. It was lovely. There's lots of slides and swimming attractions. Its predominantly for Singaporeans, but tourists are welcome. The rate is $1.50 - 2.00 per person (for 1 1/2 hours, I think). All told a great place!

We saw this entry while looking for Wild Wild Wet - which was closed for renovations - and visits to Sengkang as well as Jurong West Swimming Complexes became the highlight of our Singapore vacation.

These are municipal swimming pools, but unlike most such pools I have known outside Singapore. Sengkang and Jurong (both East and West) have water slides, spraying fountains, a lazy river (at Jurong West, complete with inner tubes that can be rented) and a wave machine (Jurong East). They are amazingly cheap - 0.80S$ for kids, 1.50 for adults - compare that to 16.00 and 11.00 for Wild Wild Wet - yet well worth the visit.

The life guards are all over the place, and can be a bit draconian on enforcing slide height requirements. But heck, it's Singapore! And as a result the pools are clean, safe and lots of fun. Stop in, this might be the best deal you find to occupy the kids. And after a hot day exploring downtown or out at Sentosa, a visit to one of these parks can be a lovely end to the festivities.

Awesome pools & waterslides - but the 1.2m height requirement for slides is rigorously enforced, so beware if you have slightly undersized children!

Lovely water slides area w variety of slides but for people above 120cm which means younger children cannot use the slides. Tends to be v crowded on weekends. Go on weekdays.

Not so fun was our encounter with a bazi "consultant" calling himself Sean C. who charged $388 and promised "full analysis" of the birth chart but emailed a very hasty, sloppy analysis, revealing significant errors in interpretation and other details. His report consisted mostly of a write-up about Chinese metaphysics (which may be found in books or explained by an intermediate to advanced student of metaphysics), and only 25% analysis. This is a clever but arrogant charlatan criticizing other, real practitioners for bluffing people, and scolding normal people for being silly and clueless.

I still don't know why some people give 2 stars and 1 star. This is a best place where you can enjoy your day with your family . For me I seriously love it
