Easy to get to. Lots of interesting food places with local food but also a Burger King right there for the kids as they are not as keen to try other things. Found it to be a lot cheaper to eat there than other local places. Can get crowded but people don’t push or shove and are very polite. I probably would not take little kids at night when very busy but definitely during the day. Great place to get a few souvenirs for a few dollars. Would recommend this.

So I often read about Bugis street and the shopping that is it is a must go if you have time, so, I did.
It is very busy and has 3 stories of little shops ranging from food to clothing to souvenirs. The 3rd floor has alot of beauty facilities like getting nails done to massages.
Due to time constraints we didn’t try all that out but we did find a few cute pieces of clothing for my daughter.
You cannot try the clothing on there as there are jo change rooms, however, I was pleasantly surprised at the fashion and what was available. Prices are mostly fixed but
You can try.

Pretty busy place. My wife suggested it was like Aliexpress on steroids. No clothing shops for the bigger guys however one heck of experience all the same.

Fascinating place but with the usual chaotic mixture of gold and dross. Good for cheap kids clothing, watches and handbags. Souvenir shoppers paradise.

This is a typical market that you find in many big cities - kind of like a night bazaar. Lovely atmosphere, I enjoyed that the sellers weren’t pushy at all which usually disturbs me. You can spend hours here easily.

An absolute warren of market stalls & shops. Much bigger than it looks from the outside - be sure to explore every nook and cranny!
A very different experience from lots of other asian markets - you'll only find a few fakes here - mainly souvenirs and clothes. The BIG plus is that unlike other markets the stall owners leave you to it rather than accosting you, which makes for a much more pleasant experience, and certainly in our case meant we spent more money as we were left to browse.

How far is Bugis St from the cruise terminal? Is it possible to get a bus there?

Take the Metro (MRT), fast and cheap.
From the end station is a 10-15 mun walk with your suitcases.
Or take a cab, not expensive in Singapore.
Save you a walk. Just depending on your luggage (suitcases or backpacking).
Enjoy your stay jn SIN :-)

Bugis market is open daily stalls start opening around 11am so don't get there until about lunch time, there are several hundred stalls so give your self plenty of time they will normally close around 10-11pm Not only can you buy your normal clothes, watches sunglasses and souvenirs you can pick up something to eat and drink.
Are all the shops open till 10pm, or just food shops? I was thinking to buy clothes and souvenirs in night time, is it possible or should I come during day time?

Hello there, yes we took the MRT to the Bugis Station, which lets you off through the mall there. From the mall, Bugis Street market is just across the road.
I’m coming on SNG on 27th and I would love to shop there after reading the reviews. But I want to know How long you can spend at Bugis street shopping?? I need to schedule accordingly.

You can spend as long as you like, it is a big market to walk around. I would say between 1 & 3 hrs. depending on what you want to purchase.
