I visited this hawker center for the food and see the fresh produce. I had mutton biriyani , fresh coconut, bean curd and roti telur. All good quality with reasonable price. Was quite busy during lunch time.

Well organized and mostly clean market where you can find many choices to eat and souvenirs gifts. Everything has it's own rhythm so don't be scared to sneak with the locals. We had delicious and fresh fruit at some stall (not cheap though).

After a few hours wandering Little India, we were excited to give this place a try. The wet market (fish and meat) was interesting, though don't expect the vendors to have much interaction in English. The food stalls were the real attraction for us: chicken...More

With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of
Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander
past traditional barbershops while local residents in
brightly coloured saris patronize retailers from
decades past. Peruse streets lined with colourful
shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge.
Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts
and take in the stalls selling bright flowers,

I haven't bought a saree in Singapore but there are certainly plenty to choose from at Tekka in many standards of quality. Find one you like then try your negotiating skills.

Yes. Today is the second day and most of the stall owners are Indians. So they should be open for business
