With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander past traditional barbershops while local residents in brightly coloured saris patronize retailers from decades past. Peruse streets lined with colourful shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge. Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts and take in the stalls selling bright flowers, fabrics, and spices. At the 24-hour, four-level Mustafa Shopping Centre, you can shop through the night and find everything from pharmacy and grocery items to Bollywood DVDs and diamond necklaces. Singapore’s Little India offers a colourful, lively taste of the subcontinent and is well worth the visit.

I enjoyed the tekka centre. There is so much indian cusine to pick from in the food court. Well worth a visit when in Singapore and feel like cheap Indian food. Not much else in the centre just some women's clothes upstairs?

Avoid #02-263 clothing shop. Horrible service and attitude is extremely rude. Bad experience, so regretted going there.

I have been coming back and forth to this place called “Yong Sheng Cooked Food” for their fish soup! They are the best tasting in Singapore!

Note that all stalls are graded in Tekka Center. You will see the grades A-C in the top corner of every store. “Yong Sheng Cooked Food” is graded A. This means they are 100% compliant in terms of safety, cleanliness and overall business operations.

I first tasted auntie’s soup in 2016, I was still single back then. Now it’s 2020 and I am married. My husband and I drop by this place once or twice a month just to taste that therapeutic, umami fish soup!

Tekka Center has a lot of choices and as long as you know about the grading system (A-C), you’ll always get the best out of this fresh market, food court and clothes/seamstress/tailor store!

Note:
1st floor: Wet market and food court
2nd floor: clothes store, seamstress and tailors

Must go place for a local experience! It's got three experiences in 1 - bustling wet market, good hawker food section with lots of good and cheap Indian food, and Indian clothes upstairs. I came here with a friend who wanted to get a Sari (Indian dress) and we wandered here for hours.

I am originally from the beautiful Island of Jamaica 🇯🇲 and currently living in the United, this market is best. It's like home away from home for me, I can always go to this market and find my favorite fish 🎏 meat 🍗 fruits 🍑 vegetables 🍃 etc. Tekka Center is India 🇮🇳 and Asian inspired and carry lots of similar items found in Jamaica and USA. If you are looking for top quality fresh fish at the best price, go to Benny's shop in Tekka Center.

Tekka (aka Zhujiao or KK market) is a Singapore institution. It is a wet market where you can buy meat, vegs and fresh fruit at a fraction of prices at Huber’s Butcher or Cold Storage. In fact, there are wives of billionaires who still shop here. It is also a huge and diverse hawker centre, with the highest number of South Asian stalls in Singapore - North Indian, South Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi and probably SriLankan too if you look hard. You will also find many Chinese (chicken rice, bak chor mee, etc) and Malay stalls. In the old days, there was a slaughterhouse here (hence the name of the Buffalo Road). Maybe Tekka should have a stall selling buffalo Bistecca?

Went here Wednesday morning about 11am. The food centre has a Chinese side and a Muslim side. Also had roti with chicken, sorry no pic.

Many options available from north to south Indian cuisines and drinks. well priced so budget travellers can enjoy their meal without thinking much. Taste is good but hygiene may be a bit in question :)
