Healing chants and the sound of bells surround you when you visit the Thekchen Choling. Named after the monastery of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, it houses one of the biggest collections of mantra wheels in Singapore.

Came across this Buddhist temple because I was staying across the road at hotel Yan. It's not the most ornate or frequented Buddhist temple I've seen, but if you are in the area it's worth a visit if only for the calming atmosphere inside.

An oasis. There are simple step by step signages to guide newcomers on what to do at the temple. Turning the giant prayer wheel makes one feel at peace. Hope to visit again to understand more about Tibetan Buddhism.

This is a small Tibetan style temple located off Jalan Besar. Note that Beatty Lane is quite a distance from Beatty Rd (so if you're near Serangoon Road you actually have to walk across to Jalan Besar and cross it to get to Beatty Lane)....More

This is probably the only Budhist temple that is open for 24 hours in this part of Singapore. It is quite small but the atmosphere is welcoming, cosy and warm. You can feel the warmth and compassion of the temple. This temple focuses on the...More
