Older, overweight Chinese woman gave below average rub down. Zero technique, cheap, greasy oil that would not come off. Do not waste your money here.l

The problem with spas is that you do not know what a therapist is like until you have tried them. I have been to Afond several time with variable results...but massage is all a matter of taste. There are a couple of exceptional therapist (for my taste), but others are disastrous...and if you are paying over $100 for a session this can be very disappointing if you visit for a one off massage!

I visited this place a few years ago and had a pleasant experience and hence decided to visit again. While waiting, I noticed that the atmosphere have changed, the staff were practically shouting at the reception and the lady at the reception can hardly speak proper English. My deep sea secret package is suppose to come with a marine clay body wrap instead I was given a herbal wrap which leave a yellow stain on my clothes. Although they did a full body massage for the full duration, I realised later that they had skiped the herbal rub. Overall the experience feels like a rush to get thru the process rather than a relaxing expierence.

Have always visited Afond for body massages and it never fail to make me feel so relaxed after. Brought my colleague and mom here recently and both have great feedbacks. Lily the thearapist is excellent, she seemed to know all the right points. Do visit them if you want a massage that doesn't disappoint. Bonus - no hard selling.

My first tip is: go on a weekday morning, they offer discounts for these off-peak times which make the visits much better value! I had a 90 minute full-body massage which was very strong. I quite like this but I know some people prefer a gentler experience, so cannot comment on what a gentler massage might be like. My massage really loosened me up and I left without many of the aches that I’d walked in with. On another day, I had a facial which was very thorough and gave my skin a great refresh. Premises seem clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. Most of them have at least some English (some have very good English) but it’s handy to know a little Mandarin to communicate with the staff with minimal English.
