This temple is a Karthik... Dhandayuthapani temple but popularly known as chettiar temple as it is managed by them.
Apart from Karthik and Ganesh there are shrines for Ishwar and Devi...
Must visit temple.

Also called the Sri Thandayuthapani Temple, this is located conveniently opposite UE square along River Valley road. The temple can get very busy during festivals and can cause traffic to bank up along River Valley road. On weekdays it's usually fairly quiet though and non-Hindus can enter the fron section of the temple but not proceed beyond.

Very interesting place and is a MUST to be seen in Singapore. It can be pretty crowded on week-end. Remember to take your shoes off before entering the temple!

Any Indian, for that matter, any human being who believes in God ,must visit this temple during his/her stay in Singapore.Go in the evening, especially on days when special Poojas are performed.Chettiars, the prosperous community ,who were deeply involved in the temple formation and maintenance, will be actually welcoming you immediately after the entrance.Nice expeience..........Is`nt it?
Muscial instruments are also played to give you a different feeling and to create an atmosphere for you to pray to God.
It has been said in many forums that if anyone is having a grievance or a desire to fulfill, then come to Chettiar temple, pray sincerely to the deity, then it will be surely done.!!!
It is a different experience and a different world altogether in this place.

You might have come to Singapore to enjoy Universal studios,Sentosa Underwater world,Dolphin laggon, night safari,China town,Little India,Birds Park and so on.

But come here, spend atleast half an hour ,or more,if you are comfortable.Enjoy and get immersed in a different world.
After return to your homeland, you will definitely cherish this for years to come.Believe me.
