    Another site not to miss
I’ve always got a taxi to this wonderful place but today used the MRT. What a pleasant and efficient way to get there. Anyway the gardens were there usual immaculate self and the orchid garden was spectacular. Highly recommend this place in this wonderful country, don’t miss out and take the MRT.

    Well worth a visit
I think the Botanic Gardens in Singapore are some of the best in the world. Very easy to spend at least half a day here. Easy to get to via MRT. We travelled to the gardens via the Botanic Gardens Station, worked our way through the gardens, and exited near the Napier MRT Station. The National Orchid Garden is a highlight of the Gardens. Entering the Botanic Gardens is free, but there is a charge for the Orchid Garden. Well worth a visit.

    Lovely respite from downtown crowds
The gardens are a short ride from the center of the city that takes you by embassy row which is of interest on its own. If you only have an hour or two head to the orchid garden for its incredible collection of orchids and bromeliads. The collection is a pleasant walk through beautifully maintained themed exhibits. Be sure to take in the collection of hybridized orchids named in honor of notable visitors, such as the Obamas. It was interesting to see who was represented. Admission price is a real bargain, especially if you are a Senior. We were enthralled by a resident monitor lizard peaking through foliage at us near the entrance. There is also a very nice shop and clean restrooms at the entrance to the garden. After the crowds and bustle of downtown it was a nice respite.

    Beautifully laid out gardens
Beautifully laid out gardens. Great access from either end by MRT ( Botanical and Napier ) . No entry charge is a bonus. Can easily spend 2 to 3 hours here as you meander from one area to another.

Heritage listed gardens which are full of surprises and an amazing Orchid House. A must see in Singapore.
This must be the best free attraction in Singapore? Maybe Gardens by the. Bay is a close 2nd. The Orchid House does have an entry fee but it’s well worth the $15 for an adult ticket. There is so much to see here. To dodge the rain or get out of the heat for a while the Sembcorp Cool House is well Seth a look inside the Orchid House. Easy access by MRT to its own station on the Circle Line plus other options are available.

    Orchid Gardens are amazing
Outstanding gardens. They are free. Even if you are not a garden lover it is worth a visit. Well designed with walkways. Must see is the orchid gardens. You have to pay to get into them but it is the highlight of the gardens. Take copy of your passports as you can get seniors discount at age 60 and older. Only $3 Singapore dollars to enter with the discount otherwise $15 (still worth it). Allow plenty of time. Easy to take the Metro to the Botanical Gardens stop. Then walk downhill through the gardens and take the other metro station back into the city.

    Orchid and other plants.
Fabulous flowers and gardens. Walking through you can see so many examples of the local flora and enjoy them in their natural setting. The orchid garden is another level and you should pay the extra money to go there.

    Beautiful Botanical Gardens
This was probably the best thing we did in Singapore. It’s relatively close to downtown, is the top botanical garden in the world (we see why) and is free to enter! We saw a lot of beautiful plants and birds and even a huge monitor lizard. Worth visiting on any trip to Singapore and we’d recommend going in the morning and staying a few hours.

    An enjoyable activity
The gardens are lovely, a great escape from the hustle and bustle of Orchard Road and they're free. The gardens are large, relaxing and friends and families take picnic baskets to the gardens. It is definitely an enjoyable activity.

    Stunning
This was a really good experience. Normally, when we’ve gone here, the bus takes us straight to where the orchid garden is. This time we stopped right at the bottom of the whole botanical Gardens. So we got to walk from one end to the other to get to the Orchid Garden. So there was so much to say that I wasn’t aware of. I loved all the lakes, and all the statues and the beautiful plants and foliage.. And is usually orchid garden was it’s stunning self. Just a sight for sore eyes.

One of our favorite places to visit every time we are in Singapore. The gardens are impressive with all of the variety of plants and animals that exist within its grounds. Just recently, we got the pleasure of seeing otters playing in swan lake. Amazing!!! The National Orchid Gardens is also inside the gardens, which is a must see.

Lovely gardens! Enjoyed seeing the otters in the lake and then they came out and played on the footpath ahead of us -- what fun to watch.

Enjoyed the National Orchid Gardens -- and bought a lovely piece of jewelry in the giftshop after a memento of our visit and a lovely day.

We took a taxi from our hotel to get there; that was easy. Getting a taxi back to our hotel was also easy -- just needed to talk with someone at the Info Kiosk nearest the Orchid Gardens to call us one ... there was an extra $2 to pay, but that was fine, as we didn't have a local sim card for our phones.

We also had a lovely lunch at cafe near the Orchid Gardens.

A beautiful place everyone should see.
The orchids are beautiful. There are photo spots at regular intervals. The garden has walking areas, flowers, tropical plants, and trees.
If you're in Singapore, you should visit this garden. It's known all over the world.
A must-see in Singapore.

Some of the best gardens I’ve visited. Orchids are incredible with a handy cool glasshouse to keep the heat off. Reckon I one managed half in 4 hours. Will be back to complete the rest.

Beautiful and peaceful botanic gardens - very large so you could spend a few hours thoroughly exploring it. If you're short on time, the national orchids garden section (which requires paid tickets) is the one highlight, and other areas to focus on are the ginger garden and the peaceful rainforest walk

A beautiful spot to walk around for ages. The place can be a bit of a maze, and is seemingly endless, and even free to enter.

I had a few days on my own so decided to do some stuff that I would personally like to do. I took the short journey on the MRT to the Botanical Gardens and so pleased that I did. The weather was a bit temperamental but I there was shelter from the rains and when they stopped carried on with the walk. Lots of lovely pathway and walks throughout the gardens. A very tranquil place to be and then you hear the cockerels which isn’t so bad as just completely unexpected. There’s a family of otters that live there too and an otter crossing.

Go early or late as humidity drains you walking around, took the bus to and fro from Havelock Rd $2.50, bus drivers are very accommodating in telling you when you have reached your destination
