A UNESCO world heritage site. Diverse flora and fauna throughout the gardens, bridges that cross over the water. Plenty of space to walk around alone or with a group.

This is my first trip in order to see the amazing place. And I loved it. You must fit in a weekend visit to here at least. Good luck. Recommended.

Just WOW! By far the best botanical gardens i‘ve ever been to! And it’s even free, exept the Orchids Garden. For me it was the best attraction in Singapore, not crowded, peaceful and very interesting! Beats the Gardens at the Bay by far!!!

A glorious Botanic Garden! Our favourite being the rain forest that once covered Singapore. The sounds alone are a treat! Be aware there are numerous gates with their accompanying visitor centres!! We got a wee bit lost, not realising this!!

We spent most of a day exploring these gardens and still didn't see it all. We would have spent more time but it was oppressively hot and humid. The grounds are stunning with tons of beautiful plants, trees, flowers, birds, etc. Definitely worth the trip.

There are many things to do and see there, such as educational events, guided walks, expansive lawns, and gorgeous gardens. The gardens are kept up beautifully and alive with a variety of flora and animals. The guided walks are particularly fascinating since they offer a wonderful opportunity to learn about the local flora and fauna. The educational events provide insights into the history and culture of the gardens and are both intriguing and educational. A nice area to unwind and enjoy the beauty of the gardens is on the expansive lawns.

This tranquil oasis is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and relax in the lush tropical climate. The winding pathways are a delight to explore, with a wide variety of flora and fauna to discover. The vibrant birdlife is a sight to behold, and the educational tours offered by the Gardens are a great way to learn more about the natural environment.

What a gorgeous botanic garden this is. I really enjoyed the orchid garden. Even just wandering around the rest of the gardens was beautiful as well.
I enjoyed interacting with the turtles in the lake and then was lucky (unlucky?) enough to see one of the monitor lizards eating one of the turtles. Really easy to get here by MRT and a great way to spend a few hours.

What an amazing place in the middle of a cosmopolitan city.
Its free to walk around the main gardens with a small charge to visit the Orchid House which is a must. I have never seen so many different types of orchid.

Really wonderful. Would be difficult to rate it anything other than five stars. It's beautiful, charming, informative - an absolute oasis within a crowded island city. The orchid rooms are wonderful. I particularly liked the Mist Room, recreating high-level, cool climates. The flower displays are superb. You should definitely go.

Hi can we bike inside the botanical garden? If not where can we park the bike?
Myrm
Cambridge, UK17,812 contributions
Cycling is not permitted in the Botanic Gardens. If there are places to chain bikes then they will be in the car park areas but you need to email the Gardens to check that. There used to be a spot by Tanglin gate but that went when they redid the area a number of years ago and I havent looked for bike racks or similar since.

Would you like to visit Singapore Botanic Gardens or another place in Singapore?
Myrm
Cambridge, UK17,812 contributions
The question is somewhat unanswerable, as it is phrased.
I can state that the Botanic Gardens are on my Must See list for every time I visit Singapore (which is as often as I can manage). However, there are a number of other items on that list too. That list takes me 6-7 days to get through, so that doesn't help in decision making for short stopover of a few days, so equally yes there are plenty of other places to go and see.
If you want a pleasant garden escape from the city then the Botanic Gardens fits the bill and you should not ignore the National Orchid Garden contained within. It will take a whole day for someone unacclimatised to Singapore's climate to get around the whole site at a reasonable pace (actually I try and visit in 2 phases to do different sections) - so its a large attraction.
IF you are trying to work out which one item you can possibly do in Singapore and if this is it then that decision has to be made by you - if you ask 20 people to name their personal favourite single item in Singapore for a day you may get just as many answers - you will certainly get variety - so go with your personal taste for that sort of choice.

Hi can I walk my dog without a leash if she's trained to?
Myrm
Cambridge, UK17,812 contributions
Singapore Botanic Gardens rules state dogs must be leashed.
I cannot put a useful link in here but in a search for - Singapore National Parks Board Botanic Gardens Rules -then the first non sponsored link Google returns for me an information page that has a link to their rules on the right hand side of the information.
