Another example of the garden city. plenty of things to see here.
The orchid gardens are improved since the last time I was here. I can't remember the cool house before. And new paths and everywhere.
Even saw a large monitor lizard stroll across the car park and disappear into the bush.

Enjoyed a few hours exploring the gardens and relaxing by the lake. Particularly enjoyed walking in the dense and lush areas of the gardens. Well worth a visit.

After being locked away in the UK for so long with covid restrictions this place is the perfect tonic, a feast of colours and smells, also make sure you visit the Orchid garden as well, a feat for the eyes and nose

A large lovely garden, with several ponds. Otters play among the water lilies. Well worth the visit.

Take time to visit the Botanic Gardens and the orchid collection. Many paths to choose among, & a nice way to unwind or exercise.

Beautiful place for a early morning walk or afternoon stroll. Loved it, so much variety of flora and some opportunities to see fauna if you're lucky. Don't forget your poncho because you'll be here a while and you might be caught in some rain.

I would say one of the cleanest and most well kept gardens of Asia, however for children who likes to ply with balls - it is prohibited especially over weekends when the garden is packed with dog lovers too !! who brings their dogs for a stroll

Well worth taking a leisurely walk in or a brisk stride out. It's layout means you can choose and vary your routes and so you do not get bored. However it can get crowded at peak times and weekends.

Hi can we bike inside the botanical garden? If not where can we park the bike?
Myrm
Cambridge, UK15,853 contributions
Cycling is not permitted in the Botanic Gardens. If there are places to chain bikes then they will be in the car park areas but you need to email the Gardens to check that. There used to be a spot by Tanglin gate but that went when they redid the area a number of years ago and I havent looked for bike racks or similar since.

Would you like to visit Singapore Botanic Gardens or another place in Singapore?
Myrm
Cambridge, UK15,853 contributions
The question is somewhat unanswerable, as it is phrased.
I can state that the Botanic Gardens are on my Must See list for every time I visit Singapore (which is as often as I can manage). However, there are a number of other items on that list too. That list takes me 6-7 days to get through, so that doesn't help in decision making for short stopover of a few days, so equally yes there are plenty of other places to go and see.
If you want a pleasant garden escape from the city then the Botanic Gardens fits the bill and you should not ignore the National Orchid Garden contained within. It will take a whole day for someone unacclimatised to Singapore's climate to get around the whole site at a reasonable pace (actually I try and visit in 2 phases to do different sections) - so its a large attraction.
IF you are trying to work out which one item you can possibly do in Singapore and if this is it then that decision has to be made by you - if you ask 20 people to name their personal favourite single item in Singapore for a day you may get just as many answers - you will certainly get variety - so go with your personal taste for that sort of choice.

Hi can I walk my dog without a leash if she's trained to?
Myrm
Cambridge, UK15,853 contributions
Singapore Botanic Gardens rules state dogs must be leashed.
I cannot put a useful link in here but in a search for - Singapore National Parks Board Botanic Gardens Rules -then the first non sponsored link Google returns for me an information page that has a link to their rules on the right hand side of the information.

Здравствуйте! Если вы имеете в виду Сингапурский ботанический сад, то он открыт с 5 утра до 12 ночи. А Сады у залива (где 2 оранжереи и футуристические деревья) с 5 утра до 2 ночи.

Hi fellow travellers,
I’m currently on a business trip in Singapore and I’m staying on West Coast Boulevard.
I’m wondering if anyone can tell me if the gardens are worth visiting of an evening?
I could possibly get there during the week after work approx, 6.45pm
Is it well lit? Has anyone been around that time of evening?
Any tips or feedback would be greatly appreciated 😊

The Singapore Botanical Garden is one of the ASEAN UNESCO World Heritage site. Perhaps the most well maintained botanical garden in the world. I always go take a walk there every time I'm in Singapore.
Highly recommended.
