The SG pub crawl is an interesting idea, cleverly marketed, but poorly executed. I was in doubt to join this activity, but after reading the reviews, thought to go for it. I really cannot recommend the pub crawl. The money paid doesn’t get you access to any bar that you couldn’t find yourself (and I wouldn’t have gone in any of those selected), nor does it get you access to any drinks I would have ordered (shots), nor does it get you “VIP access.” While the guide certainly did try to keep the mix lively, it just wasn’t happening.
The good: you’re in SG, and the bars are plenty.
The bad: if there isn’t enough in your group (only 4 in ours), it doesn’t quite get the momentum of a group dynamic. With the right amount and mix of people, it could be a fun night.
The ugly: for the price, you’d expect a bit more for your money. There were no skipping the lines, secret bars, hidden gems, or drinks of your choice. They were simply bars that anyone could find, and a cheap shot.
