Part od the historic fabric of Singapore - there is precious little of this remaining in the bustling city. Good for a wander

Worth a visit and conveniently located in Central Singapore you can even leisurely walk down the from the Raffles/Marina Bay Area. Abundant with eateries and market stalls, good prices and able to barter if need to. Very popular with tourists

Since I love Chinese food, I wanted to visit Chinatown, mainly for Maxwell Road Hawker Centre. Our taxi driver dropped us off in front of the Chinatown Complex Food Centre, and he recommended the 50 year coffee shop upstairs, which was excellent. Other than that,...More

Forget Burgis St markets and just come here. It’s so much better and not as much junk. Some of the shops around here are just beautiful and they offer shipment home at a fairly reasonable price!

Chinatown
Chinatown is a classic combination of colourful
sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling
sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its
blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an
Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit
almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony
continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to
the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill.
