The area
Neighbourhood: Marina Bay
More of a mini city than a neighbourhood in the traditional sense, the iconic Marina Bay aims to dazzle and entertain visitors of all kinds. This is the Singapore found in glossy brochures, featuring a world-class hotel, casino, shops, restaurants, bars, and other attractions all geared towards pure entertainment. The SkyPark at Marina Bay Sands provides a stunning view of the city, a must-see photo opportunity for visitors and locals alike. The ArtScience Museum always has a top-quality exhibition, and Gardens by the Bay is a fascinating manifestation of the government’s vision of Singapore as a “city in a garden”. Enticing Marina Bay is well worth a visit.

It's a quiet park, and quite nice for walks, especially at night. You can walk from Victoria Concert Hall all the way to the Singapore Recreation Club.

First time to walk around this beautiful area. It’s beautiful sceneries especially during the night. Will come back again on our next visits.

This is a small city park close to Marina Bay with a few interesting statues to admire. I've been cycling through here regularly during the lockdown on my way towards East Coast Park.

We walked around this place. It was in the day time and so it was bit hot. But still the view was good and it was worth taking.

Foremost is the architecture of the surrounding area that captures the interest; Everywhere - wherever you point the camera - you see new angles and motifs worthy of 'perishing' for each self-written own travel photo album. But there are also a lot of fun details in the park, from nicely designed park lights, to small waterfalls and ingeniously planted trees ... The proximity to the open water surfaces also contributes to a sense of harmony. Returned to this place several times (also lived nearby).

Esplanade Park is located along Connaught Drive, opposite Padang and City Hall. The park size is 2.4 hectares. It is bounded by Connaught Drive, Stamford Road, Esplanade Drive and the mouth of the Singapore River. Lot of interesting monument or things around the park for example, inside there is the Lim Bo Seng Memorial and a beautiful Victorian blue and white Tan Kim Seng Fountain, built in 1882 to commemorate the contributions to Singapore of the famous Chinese philanthropist.

Sunday 20th October and we were walking along the Esplanade where this park is located.
The Park wasbuilt in 1943 and is considered to be one of the oldest in Singapore.
There are many historical and cultural landmarks in the Esplanade Park
including Queen Elizabeth Walk, the former Indian National Army Monument site, The Cenotaph, Tan Kim Seng Fountain ,and the Lim Bo Seng Memorial, Rising Moon sculpture
Rather liked the turtle sculpture/carvings
Nextdoor is the Esplanade Theatres by the Bay and the Makan Angin Sculpture
The Esplanade Park is enclosed by Connaught Drive, Stamford Road, Esplanade Drive and Singapore River.

Hello,
This is Mrittika from India.
Am visiting Singapore from 23-Feb'15 till 1-Mar'15 for vacation along with my parents. Would like to know about the popular restaurants or cafés onsite? Also, how do I get there using public transportation from Hotel Park Sovereign-Albert?
Thanks.

You can take bus 131 or walk to metro station which is 700 meters from your hotel and take EW line towards Joo Koon and get off at City Hall and walk 550 meters. There good places to eat and drink there but not sure about a particular one.
