Went there for the annual primilage event. The island was well kept with clear clean and nice beach where you can have a good swim. There were families with young children, snorkeling and some playing badminton at the open area. You get to spot some ergrets too. A peaceful place where you can admire the sea and recharge yourself.

Yesterday I took a nature walk on Kusu Island. Plenty of nature to see and no monkeys to make a nuisance of themselves...
The centrepiece of the Island is the Da Bong Gong Temple. But around this from both ends of the island there is an abundance of nature. I saw a pair of Brahminy kites, several collared kingfishers from which I was able to locate one of their nests, Pacific swallows, Javan mynas, Eurasian sparrows, Oriental (or paddy field) pipits and an Oriental magpie robin.
Plenty of tortoises. Interesting long legged flies - bright metallic green.
The Keramat Kusu Temple is presently closed due to a landslide in January.
There is a turtle monument in the centre of the island.

Go and have a fun day outing here. It’s small but a great place to go and hang out with your friends or family alike.
There’s even a temple and tortoise sanctuary located here.
There are barbecue spots and small huts for resting and eating (so don’t forget to carry some snacks and drinks).
Towards the back part, there is a huge open area great for kite flying. We had taken a 🪁 and tested it out there.

A nice easy getaway from the main island for a day trip, nice cruise ride over to the Island, walk around with a blank mind, rejuvenate and rest your busy neurons.

A little tiny island with a traditional Chinese temple, some nice beach spot for swimming, good shelter hut, good for walking around the island, a nice picnic area with good view. Plus good photo taking spots.
Quite and peaceful and relaxing to spend some time here.

followed my dad to this place for the pilgrimage.. this is my second time here.. it's nice, just that you got to entertain yourself.. good for a day out with nature, and just chilling at one of the pavilions. Toilets are available, but may not have toilet paper so bring your own.. Ferry ride was expensive tho.. $18/pax to get there.

It takes approximately 30 minutes from St.Johns Island. There are toilets but carry toilet papers and other sanitary amenities.
There's a shop near the shrine, just after you cross the wishing well. You get water, coke original and 100 plus ONLY. They don't charge too much.
This island isn't too big it takes a maximum of 20 minutes to walk.

visited this place recently and found the place to be clean and quite well maintained. there's actually nothing much to do there, just sceneries and sightseeing.
we went to the Chinese temple with a wishing well and holy shrines of Malay saints after climbing 152 steps. be careful on your way up to the shrines as the monkeys around might snatch your belongings.
if you are lucky, you might be able to see a cute "caretaker", a corgi known as Ginger. the dog belongs to the caretaker and her daughter. they are very friendly and nice people. we played with their dog while waiting for our ferry.
it's a relaxed place to get away from the city if you have not visited the island. do remember to fill up your stomach before you go to the island or bring your own food and water as there is no food or drinks stall there.

Quiet small island about 1/2hr by boat from Singapore. There are a few small beaches with some shelters and are nice to swim and relax at. Note that there are no shops there so you have to bring al of your own food and water.

Just sit down on the ground or beach, it is very peaceful time.
But biringing water or drinks are strongly recommended, and if you feel hugry, some foods or snack. Sun umbrella is good to bring. I'm not sure but probably resttoom is available.
Please mind, please check ferry schedule. Usually once / 2h, and the last one from Kusu to Marina South is 14:00 (wkd), 15:00 (Sa), 17:00 (Sun).

On most days, Kusu Island is a remote and quiet place. Its lack amenities and visitors are advised to bring their own drinks and food during their visit to the island.
Because of its remoteness and quietness, some people do enjoy the island just to get away from the hustle and bustle of busy, crowded Singapore main island.
During the festive seasons, especially during pilgrimage period, the island becomes very crowded, busy and colorful.
Hope this explains.
