    Lovely
We stopped by the National Orchid Garden as part of a stop with Big Bus Tours. A great decision. We spent 1-2 hours at a fantastic array of orchids in all shapes and colours. Especially, the cool house was full of impressive displays of colour. Well worth the visit to see the national flower in all its varieties.

OMG Best collection of orchids, perhaps nowhere in the world!
What a collection of orchids! OMG! I have never ever seen such a large collection of orchids under one roof. OfCourse, they have created/ simulated the environment under a big enclosure. What a hard work to maintain all these.

    Beautiful gardens
What a wonderful place to visit, nicely maintained gardens. The orchid house does have a fee to get into but it’s well worth it. The only negative I have is that it’s quite a walk to the orchid house, some form of transport to get around the gardens would be good, also not much shade from the very hot sun. Definitely worth a visit.

    Well worth a visit
Had been to botanic gardens a few times in past but had never visited the orchid garden - so pleased we did. Much bigger than we expected and beautifully laid out. So much effort has gone into making the most lavish gardens. The greenhouse was a nice cool contrast to the humidity. There is a fee but it is only $3 for seniors (got to be some advantage to getting older!). Definitely recommend.

    Lovely orchid garden. Highly recommend.
If you’re into Orchids this is a great place. I was able to see different types of orchids. Easy walking path. Arrived at 11am on Wednesday. Not many people there. One group of 15 was walking around as I saw. We took a taxi there from Orchard Road versus taking MRT and having to walk 15mins or so. Taxi ride was only S$9. We finished and as we weee waiting for taxi it was pouring rain luckily we were under the covered area.

    Absolutely beautiful.
For any gardener, visiting Singapore, this place is a must. With thousands of orchids, you can wonder for hours looking at the flowers. There are orchids in every shade of the rainbow. Good gift shop and the gardens are easily accessible via walking through the Botanical Gardens. Just get the MRT to the Botanical Gardens MRT Station then follow the signs.

    Just stunning
This has to be one of the most amazing gardens in the world. We visited late afternoon and there was hardly anyone else there. Everything about it is just amazing, although there could be a few extra places to sit down and admire the orchids. This is a "must visit" attraction. We took a "grab" taxi to the Tyersall Entrance (only c. 200m walk to the Orchid garden) and afterwards walked around the Botanical Gardens which are also immaculate, leaving via the Nassim Entrance. The open top bus also goes to the Tyersall Entrance and is an alternative option for visitors.

Beautiful display - a must do
While a small admission fee is required - it is well worth it. There are so many types of orchirds to see. And there were plenty of gardeners on active duty maintaining the displays throughout the garden. It's clear a lot of thought and effort have been placed into maintaining the displays. The Gardens also have put up a lot of detailed information on the orchids on large signs. This included their process of growing the orchirds all the way to flowering. The Sembcorp Cool House was a special highlight. So many displays in this uniquely built cool house, so even flowers that wouldn't usually survive in Singapore's heat can still be viewed here.

    Wonderfully displayed Orchids
Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Botanic Gardens (free) plus the Orchid Gardens which had an entry fee 13 SG$(?). Pleased to find that over 60s entered for 3 SG$. Fabulous display of orchids arranged through gardens and orchid houses.

    So spectacular
If the Botanic Gardens are the jewel in Singapore’s crown, then surely the National Orchid collection is the central diamond. It is absolutely incredible. Whilst entry to the Botanic Gardens is free, there is a small charge( with concessions) to visit the magnificent orchid collection. It is probably best to get there as early as possible to avoid large tour groups and it is, of course, cooler. Take your time! There is so much to see, such a variety of orchids and other plants that it’s easy to miss some of the displays. Also, make sure that camera/phone batteries are fully charged! Visiting here is surely one of the highlights when visiting Singapore and is not to be missed. At the conclusion of the visit to the Orchid collection, there is a gift shop and a nearby cafe. Very highly recommended and appreciated.

The National Orchid Garden is one of those amazing spots where you can lose yourself in the sublime - something so beautiful that it defies explanation or belief. The sheer volume of flowers and different varieties of flowers is staggering. Admission to the exhibit is only $5 and you can stay for as long as you like. I recommend heading up on to the VIP Orchid Garden and checking out some of the orchids that have been dedicated to particular personalities, like the Obamas and visiting leaders. It's a tranquil place to wander around and is easily accessible by taking the blue Downtown line on the MRT to Botanic Gardens.

Te national orchard garden is the cherry on the cake of the National Singapore Botanical Garden. There is a very modest entrance fee (SGD 1 for seniors), which must be the best value for money in Singapore. What you get in return is an orgy of colours and different orchid varieties - it is quite spectacular.

Well worth the schlep, the MRT or a Tax Ride to the entry- cost-free Botanical Gardens and pay the $5 extra to go into this self-contained garden. ($1 if yiu are 60 or over...lucky me!).
For a Brit, it is wonderful to see such exotic plants flourishing outside.

We are visiting from Maui, Hawaii. We love orchids, and loved the setting. Admission is affordably priced to allow access to all ($5 adult; $1 senior citizen). Beautiful photo opportunities are labeled "Photo spot". Good signage, and lovely adjacent location to National Botanic Garden, which is peaceful and serene. A cooler oasis in the city.

For me the Botanic Garden is World Class Best; however, the best part of it is the Orchid Garden. It does cost slightly more to visit, but when the rest of the garden is free, this is still worth the cost. The diversity of orchids is simply amazing, almost as incredible as the quantity of orchid's blooming. Singapore is that rare sweet spot in Botany were you can have world class quality with world class quantity. That is what is simply incredible here. You absolutely have to see the Botanic Gardens and while there you MUST SEE Orchid Garden. It is incredible and neither words or pictures will do it justice.

Located inside the National Botanical Garden (worth a good chunk of time itself), the beautiful National Orchid Garden is a spectacular exhibition of countless varieties of the flower. It is well laid out for strolling, the photo opportunities are endless, and there are plenty of explanatory signs. We covered it at a very leisurely pace in about an hour and a half. If you are doing the hop on-hop off bus of Singapore, the National Botanical Gardens are one stop on one of the routes, and the Orchid Garden is a short walk from the bus stop.

Located within the Botanic Gardens the National Orchid Garden is simply amazing. Hundreds of orchids on display most in full bloom. Admission is only a dollar for seniors - and admission to the wonderful Botanic Gardens is free.

The Orchid Garden is a must-see experience at the Botanical Garden and costs a paltry $5/adult. The range and variety of orchids here are truly breathtaking. I don't have very much interest in flowers generally but was completely enthralled the whole time I was there.

We pre-purchased tickets ahead of time via Headout because it was slightly cheaper. We were also afraid tickets would sell out. It turned out we didn't even need to because the garden was not crowded. However, it was also raining that day but because we already booked the tickets, we had to go on that specific day/time slot. This also meant I couldn't use my student ID for a discount since those tickets need to be purchased in person.

We arrived on a Wednesday at around 3:40. The gardens are located inside Singapore Botanic Gardens. It is a bit of a walk so make sure you leave enough time to explore the botanic gardens as well. We spent about 45 minutes in the orchid garden. Even though it was raining, it was still beautiful - maybe even more so. It gave it a very tropical look/feel. The only thing annoying about that was just that we had to carry around our umbrellas the whole time, but there were still plenty of photo ops. Had it not been raining, we would probably would have spent a bit longer there because we did kind of rush through.

If beautiful gardens is your type of thing, you definitely need to check out the National Orchid Garden.

After arriving to the Botanic Garden MRT station it took us about 30 minutes to reach this place, but it's because we went very slowly taking pictures and enjoying the views.
The garden is not overly large, but it was very pretty and had a lot of orchid variety.
Recommend going on a cloudy day because the place is mostly outside and if it's too hot it may be hard.
