    Good experience!
Travelling as family group we thought the Night Safari was good, kids enjoyed and so did we. A different experience that lasted about 30mins. The Creatures of the night show was also very entertaining. Only gripe is that by the time we were ready to leave the park, taxi services like Grab did not have drivers available as the app couldn’t find anyone. There were taxis parked at the pick up point however clearly they knew what they were doing to avoid using the app and instead charging ridiculous and inflated prices. Pre arrange your taxi or driver beforehand if you can to avoid this extortion by local taxi drivers!!!!!

    Great Night Safari
We really enjoyed the Night Safari at Singapore Zoo. It gives a whole different slant on the zoo experience, and it was fun to see so many animals being active in the night. I fed the rhino a carrot, and we saw bats flying about the zoo naturally! And we heard the lions roaring. The little tram ride felt very Jurassic Park - the commentary was aimed at children but it was still fun. Try and have enough time to walk all the trails as well. Getting public transport from central Singapore takes a little while, but you can get a taxi back. If you don't mind missing the zoo presentations, that's the ideal time to get in while everybody's in there! We arrived just as everyone was leaving the talk about 8ish.

    A different zoo experience
I visited as part of a tour, on arrival our group was quickly ushered through the gates. There was a short wait for the little train. Along the way we saw lots of animals, but it was difficult to take good photographs from the moving train. I had satay at the food court, an efficient system with a ‘bleeper’ to tell you when your food was ready. The show was OK, but as often with these shows could have been much shorter with less ‘waffle’. At the end the staff came to the edge of the stage with some of the animals so children could have a closer look and ask questions.

    Different zoo experience
We bought tickets for the night safari before we left Australia and it was probably worthwhile doing. It's quite a long taxi ride out to the zoo but interesting nevertheless. We arrived in time for the Creatures of the Night talk/display which was held in a large auditorium. The massage was all about conservation which was very noble. Various animals strutted their stuff while two staff members gave a commentary on what was happening. It was ok but if I missed it I'd be fine. We then caught the tram/train which took us on a tour of the park. It had an interesting pre-recorded commentary which was useful. There was quite a queue for the tram but we got on relatively quickly because of good organisation. We got a fantastic view of the male lion plus a very close encounter with a tapir. Other animals included various deer, rhino, porcupine etc. etc. They were mostly out and about in their cages/spaces so we did see most. After that tour we then took one of the walks (which ended up as all three walks) where we saw some other animals up close and personal plus many we had seen on the tram ride. Given the time of day (evening/night) it wasn't the best place to take photos. Worth a visit.

    Good evening out
Great event. Got there and although the signs weren't great we quickly got onto the 'train' and saw the extent of the park before seeing the live show. More aimed at families than adults but it was good. Then we walked round the zoo, seeing lots of different animals. A couple of them looked unhappy, in particular the old elephant but the majority looked content.

Enjoyable but not worth the money
We arrived at 6.30 for the 7.15 booking on the trolley, only to find huge queues to get in. Discovering that the booking time was a folly and you could go on the trolley at any time, we decided to have dinner first. Our meal of chicken satay and char kway tow was fresh and delicious and reasonably priced; the ice cream was delicious too but at SD$12.50 a cone was exorbitant! We enjoyed the 20 minute trolley ride but some areas eg hippos seemed to have no animals in them and the driver knew this and went past quickly. We saw lots of animals and enjoyed the trip. But as I had my foot in a boot and use crutches, I was unable to do any of the walks which may have enhanced our experience. The theatre show had only a few sessions and we didn’t want to wait another hour to see whatever it was showing. So in all a pleasant night but very expensive for the limited activities available and the huge queues. If you add in $65 for taxis too and fro it works out a very expensive evening. And if you have a family don’t offer them an ice cream unless you are really wealthy!

    Great Experience for Animal Lovers
One of the most unique and interesting experiences I have had. The facility (do we call it a zoo?) is laid out very nicely. There is a introductory "show" that was great and set the stage for the experience. You can take a tram or walk, we opted to walk and I loved it. Felt like we were in the jungle and on the animals' turf. The animals are super active (the hyenas stared us down !) The Wallaby area is behind gates and they walk right up to you! I would recommend this activity.

    Very disappointing
Really disappointing visit. Takes a while to get there but accepted that as we planned an hour and a half to do the journey which turned out to be spot on. Thought as we had a timed entrance slot we would be able to walk onto a tram at that time, no chance so we did the walking trail and thought when we finished that would hop on a tram .....the queue for the tram now led down to the entrance turnstile...ridiculous. Walking trail was busy and noisy because the queues were so long for the tram. The only bad experience we have had in Singapore and the most expensive

    Unique Experience
We booked the night Safari as part of the three park ticket (River Wonders, Singapore Zoo & Night Safari), which I would fully recommend as great value. The ticket includes a tram ride however, it does not include the creatures of the night talk which is free but needs to be reserved. You can reserve the tall two hours before the start of the show you want to watch, would definitely recommend! When we got to the park the queue for the tram ride was quite long so decided to do the creatures talk first, be warned you may miss activities if you join the queue without giving enough time. The talk was wonderful especially as free, once this finished there was no queue for the tram so jumped right on! Saw some amazing creatures including ant eaters, elephants, hyenas , lions and many more. Some were missed as with all zoos you cannot demand animals to be present and some were not in view or resting presumably which is to be expected. Once we finished the tram ride we went along the four walks and saw some animals you could not see from the tram, including tigers, leopards, Tasmanian devils and much more. Honestly the experience was fantastic, the atmosphere of walking around a jungle at night where you can hear the animals and insects all around you was amazing. I would say book the earlier slot time and give yourself enough time to wander round as we just about made it out of the park at midnight when it closed and we got there at eight. One additional point not related to the zoo but, if you get the last zoo transfer bus at midnight be warned the train stops early and does not go to the end of the line we didn't realise this and ended up having to book a grab taxi not major but worth noting.

Nice to visit, probably wouldn’t again.
Attended the night safari with a friend, we went on a Sunday evening, around 7:15pm. We caught public transport to the Zoo which took just over an hour from the city centre. We opted to take a Taxi home, just so that we could get home quicker. We were able to enter the zoo almost immediately on our arrival without issues, we watched the Creates of the Night show before making our way around the zoo. We waited longer than ideas to get on the tram, probably around 45 mins in total which was a little disappointing because the tram ride didn’t even go for half that amount of time. Often the driver moves on before allowing any real opportunity to find an animal in their enclosure or take a picture… the zoo is understandably very dark, so any kind of photography of animals was near important. Unfortunately, I was unable to walk around the entire zoo/safari due o mobility issues with someone in our group. We did as much as we could - but It was very difficult. I also imagine it would be equally difficult for families with prams, or people walking with the elderly or younger children. It was nice to visit, but not an amazing/outstanding experience.

We were a big group of 20 people - 12 adults 8 kids. We booked the seats for creatures of the Night show, check the website to book it. The show was impressive, we were wondering how can all the animals cooperate with the act.

We then took the tram ride around. As it was quite dark, we sometimes have to look really hard to find the animals, but we understand that is to maintain the original nature of the wildlife.

We really hope that we were more well-rested during the day so that we have more energy to go around the safari after the tram ride.

Fantastic experience. Very well organised and a great way to see animals up close in the night. You enter via your ticket (recommend you get in advance) in 15 minute time slots. Taken around in an open eclectic tram. The pace was good and the recorded commentary was very well done. Over all would high recommend for adults and children!

This was such a fun experience! That being said I felt like you had to be “in the know” for some things, and luckily I went with my friend who had been several times before.

1. Sign up for the show, which you can reserve day of for free
2. It’s a bit of a maze so check the map often and allot at least 3 hours to really see everything
3. There are some animals apparently (elephant, not sure what else) that you can’t see if you go by foot and can only see from the bus
4. If you are seeing it on foot, it’s a good amount of walking!! I felt like I was on a little nature hike so be sure to wear comfy shoes to walk in.

We saw so many animals that I didn’t even know existed and it was neat that it was in the evening so the nocturnal animals were actually out and about rather than sleeping in the corner (though some animals were sleeping). The large natural settings the animals were given made it seem indeed more like a safari than a zoo exhibit (seeing shadows of animals behind leaves or sensing their rustling movement). The immersive areas (civets, bats) were the coolest and most exhilarating parts.

Booked the night safari in Singapore. Wanted to book earlier to get the time slot we wanted.
Wanted to see how much it cost as well. Started off in USA dollars. Halfway through the booking
showed in NZ dollars, so carried on. Thinking the price was along the lines of the other booking websites.
Pushed pay the confirmation came back in USA dollars far more then what I was expecting. I've used lots of other booking sites and not had this chopping and changing from one currency to another.
My bad, I guess. But what I'm not happy with is I don't get the tickets till on the day we go and the time slot is not guaranteed ( that's why I booked two months in advance). And I can not cancel.
So it's wait and see on the day if I have a booking and at what time.😒
Won't use the booking site again.
There are cheap and better websites to book your holiday activities please use them.

My wife & I visited the Night Safari yesterday evening, we entered at 7:15pm, our 1st stop was the Creatures of the Night show in the Amphitheater, this was Awesome, as for the remainder of the Night Safari, for the most part, it was fantastic, although slightly better than the day time zoo the directional signage isn’t great, we walked the marked trails, which appears to avoid some of the animals (maybe that was that average directional signage again), we missed the lions😢 due to this, we got some great photos on the walking trails, we were frustrated at a number of people who were very loud and scaring off the animals, we were patient & were rewarded with some great views & photos, we skipped the tram at 1st as the lines were crazy & they packed people in like sardines, we had also read mixed reviews on the tram, we finally jumped on the tram at 9:30pm, we got straight on but had to wait until they filled it a bit more, the information delivered on the tram was fantastic, however they don’t stop to allow you to take photos, even when we stopped the tram kept moving rolling back then moving forward (making it almost impossible to take photos in the darkness/low light)which was quite disappointing, there were also a couple of ignorant/selfish people taking photos with the flash even though you are repeatedly told not to use a flash???

A great experience especially for kids to see the animals moving about. Most zoos are closed at night or are in a caged arrangement. here you safe as the animals are separated for audience but barriers you don't see.
Walking the area after the tram ride has its own special bits as you can stay longer at certain animals or view them from different angles. Have good walking shoes and drinks available as its about an hour to wander around.
A few food outlets that can get crowded so perhaps as a family have a snack with you as there are places to sit.
getting there you have Uber, taxi or bus ticket combinations run by companies.
Taxi and uber can be as high as $100 each way so bus is really cheap.

First of all, don't be fooled about having to book a time. If you book for 8:15PM, you can't even queue to get into the waiting area until 8:15PM, and you'll be shooed away out to the carpark! Then you get into the waiting area, which is packed, and you'll join a very long queue. The queue was really noisy and heaps of people were coughing up their lungs - stay home if you're sick!! There were really thousands of people, they must make a killing. I'd appreciate more transparency on how much of their profit goes towards conservation, because this place must make an absolute killing.

Your enjoyment of the night safari itself will probably depend on how much wildlife you've seen and what zoos you've already been to. I was only particularly impressed by the Asiatic lions.

It's not a bad night out, but waiting 50 mins in line for a crowded 20 minute experience is rarely going to feel like a worthwhile experience. I'd recommend going only if you can find a quiet night to do it!

Night Safari is also a unique feature of travel to Singapore. We have some eating places at the entry. The tram waiting period was about two hours and was very exhausting - very long serpentine queues. It takes us to the natural habitat of many animals. The animal show in the open amphitheater was a big attraction and a unique experience. Must visit place for kids.

Last time I visit this attraction was 13 years back. I was not that enamored with it but happy to see my daughter enjoying the experience. But I tell you , the heat and humidity of the city doesn’t help either. Now , being part of our corporate activity I had no choice but to join. And yet it felt that the program like showing rare night species bodes well with families, and not for an adult like me. The tram ride is not that appealing either with the voice recorded guide seem to lull me into sleep . Good thing tickets are purchased in advance by our tour leader, no wait time for the program since we came right on time. And the staff are always cheerful, that’s important in this set up.
