When this riverside street of pubs and restaurants opened more than 2 decades ago, it wasn't as popular as the nearby Clark Quay or Boat Quay as they were closer to the business districts for the happy hour crowds. Thus since then this riverside street, being in an upper class condominium residential areas appealed to those whom prefer a quieter evening. Better ambience and a romantic evening can be had whether you wine and dine or just take a walk down the river. Today, in the Covid19 pandemic, the scene is much different. Since tourism, pubbing and clubbing is non existent, working from home encouraged thus much less working crowd in the business districts, Boat Quay and Clark Quay are quiet daily and begs for business while Robertson Quay is bustling with diners daily. Mostly residents in the area love the fact that you can now dine out, stay on for a drink till late. Afterall currently all drinking activities has to end at 1030pm thus no point going far. A change of fortune and Robertson Quay is well poised for a boom for now.

Although pictures of the river show it as been very wide, in fact it is quite narrow. During the day time hours, the Restaurants & the walk ways can be very quiet but at Sundown they become very lively with customers and locals bike riding, jogging and walking with children/families/dogs. The Restaurants provide dining areas both inside & on the walk ways. Regarding the Restaurant prices beware that most of them charge ++.

At the farthest area of the river is this Quay which was once used for the storage of goods. Now there are bars and members-only places. The vibe attracts a crowd more interested in dining and conversation than getting hammered to loud music. Enjoy watching the riverside traffic walk by.

While our partners were out doing their thing, my mate & I + his son visited the Boomerang Bar in Robertson Quay. It was a bar recommended to me by another fellow visitor to Singapore. Luck for us it was only about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. We went to watch the AFL finals on their TV's. Food was very good, place was reasonably busy and the beers cold. You couldn't complain about the service as we were constantly asked if we needed anything. The drinks were a bit pricey but come to expect that in some more upmarket areas.

Firstly, the location is really great to be next to the Riverside and it's not too crowded. A good place to get a leisurely stroll before and after.
There's lots of different high end cuisines here - Italian, Japanese, Persian even. Good place to have a comfortable night out with good food. Also can go from restaurant to nearby bars. I like shabestan and wine connection.

We were staying in a hotel next to the river. We saw that there were turtles in the river. The area seemed nice and there are restaurants along the river side. At night the area is lit up nicely. The area seemed clean and well maintained

Great neighbourhood with tons of resturants, bars and some cafes. Most of them are on the expensive side given the location. But they is quite a variety..located next to the Singapore river, it's a great place for evening walks. You will be see people running and cycling in the area all day long

In my opinion this side of the river is much preferable for a nice dinner or drinks, than the neighbouring Clarke Quay.
Much more pleasant and chilled atmosphere, nice selection of restaurants and generally less annoyingly loud people.
There is a really nice pizza place just past the eM Bar called Giardano, really great pizza and casual setting, not yet rated on TripAdvisor
Also nice just for an evening stroll without drinks or dining.

Having heard so much about the Alt Pizza at Robertson Quay, we decided to give it a try this Easter weekend and boy, were we delighted with the choice! DIY Pizza is an innovative way for you to make your choice of pizza ingredients, toppings etc. DTI, i.e., Do Try It, would be my advice! The dips were also mouthwatering...we tried the Spinach & Artichoke dip, which was just great. The colorful walls and ambience added to a great fun lunch on a long lazy weekend. Much recommended.
