I always visit Catholic cathedrals on my travels so it was nice to have visited this one in a non-Catholic country. As expected, it was very small and lacks the more traditional opulent spires and ceilings and giant stained windows. Still beautiful, nonetheless. Simple and sacred.

Singapore has a plethora a great religious buildings and this is one of the larger and more visited churches. It is the main Catholic Church in the colonial quarter. It is a beautiful church exterior. We did not get to visit the interior. Another one of the great religious structures in Singapore.

This looked like it wasn’t a real building but like a chocolate box cathedral rather than a traditional cathedral. Beautiful inside and out though and well worth a look - not far from many hotels and walking distant to raffles.

Last time we visited the cathedral was closed for renovation, what a fantastic job they did. There is a basement chapel dedicated to perpetual adoration and a fantastic place a repose for quite meditative prayer.

There was quite a number of churchgoers. We didn't realise there were plenty of Catholics in Singapore. What was so impressive was their program for the poor, and another was the Christmas village in one of the buildings.

From the beautiful Nativity scene inside the Cathedral and the choir singing on Christmas morning. The souvenir shop was a real highlight with a huge animated nativity display and wonderful gifts to buy. People and staff were so welcoming and friendly, to make this a very special experience.

Even if you're not catholic, you must visit this church. It's air conditioned and always full. The choir sing beautifully and the organist can play superbly. The sound of the pipes create a beautiful sound. We only wished the mass was longer than 1 hour. The Cathedral is opposite the Carlton hotel.

Church is comfortable, clean and tidy.
Public toilets are clean and good housekeeping.
Church provides food to the poor after mass.
Location of church is ideal and easy access to mall and places to visit.

I have attended mass here several times over the years when in Singapore on a Sunday. The cathedral has been very nicely renovated and is beautiful.

On Good Friday evening over a year ago, Youtube provided visual access to the Good Friday services at the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd Cathedral in Singapore. The services were beautiful and I could spend much time writing about the kindness evident in those in attendance, However I was most impressed by the sermon given to us by Archbishop Goth. To that extent I had written down some of his statements. I came across those notes today and I am about to copy them here for you. He said: "The greatest form of service is forgiveness"
"Never retaliate. Never allow forgiveness to be overcome."
"Do the right thing --.Love anyway."
"Jesus loved unto death."
