This is a small but interesting museum devoted to aspects of Singapore's Indian muslim community. Located on the corner of Boon Tat and Telok Ayer streets it's easily accessible and worth visiting as you explore the area. There is no fee to enter. The building itself also makes for some pretty photo opportunities if you're lucky with the weather.

This impressive building is located just opposite Amoy Street in Chinatown and beside the Thian Hock Keng chinese temple. It is considered as one of the oldest religious monuments in Singapore. The shrine was built in honour of a holy man named Shahul Hamid Durgha who had visited Singapore.

The architecture of the monument is quite impressive although visiting the monument is less interesting, and probably I would not recommend visiting it unless specifically for religious reasons.

This is right next to the Thian Hock temple, so it's worth taking a photo as you walk past. I went on a Sunday, and it was not open to visitors, so there is not much to say about it.

Well kept, organised and run museum. Has interesting artefacts and historical literature about the emigration, settlement, practice and contribution of Muslims of South Indian origin in early Singapore. Set in a street full of historical sites, it is worth a visit for anyone passing by.

If you are passing, maybe heading to Chinatown then stop by and take a photo. I am not sure you can go inside, we didn't.

Stumbled upon this very interesting and unique shrine while walking around Amoy Street. Right next to the Chinese temple it is a tribute to the achievements of the Indian Muslim community and to the racial harmony that existed between the early settlers in Singapore of different faiths and origins.
Sparkling clean and well-maintained. The charismatic young executive who acted as docent made our visit the highlight of our day out in the Telok Ayer district. His unique insights brought life to what would otherwise have been a more mundane viewing of the artifacts.
The pink and white architecture is particularly attractive, nestled next to a leafy park and the famous Thian Hock Kheng Temple.

Really interesting. We were greeted and enjoyed the story telling of a young man who was clearly very committed to the Heritage Centre. He had a really interesting perspective. It was nice to actually learn about the place, rather than just having a quick look.

NAGORE Dargah is a heritage site. It was Built around 1820 by the earliest muslims who came from India. It is built as a memorial to the patron saint of Nagore city in the state of Tamil Nadu India. This specific building was renovated in 2007 and now opened as ‘Nagore Dargah Indian muslim Heritage Cantre’. This place is closely associated with the Indian muslims and you can see the luggage and items of the earliest migrants who came here in search of greener pastures. It is worth a visit with a very friendly guide. The nearest MRT station is Telok Ayer.
