    Fun and educational
It was a good experience for me to go through with new friends. I think for me it was an educational as well and I learnt about Singapore nation forming history from the beginning until now the modern nation. I grateful for the hard work put up by the organiser who made the Singapore Experiential Visit meaningful for new aspired citizens

    discovery center
Visited discovery center today with friends. It was impressive as how well the centre was designed to provide history of Singapore as well as environmental/political awareness to the nationals/visitors. The interactive sessions were very helpful and fun. Spacious for the kids to run around. Will visit again in future.

    BMTC Tour
My tour guide was vick. He was really good and taught a lot of stuff in a manner easy to understand. I learnt 3 main things from here. What we cannot defend, we do not own. We adopt a diplomacy and deterrence mindset and if not us, then who

    Bookout SDC tour
The tour guide (Jennifer) was very straightforward and to the point and I learnt a lot such as the process of inspection that civilians had to go through during the japanese occupation and some examples of what criteria they had to fulfil to pass the inspection e.g. not wearing spectacles, having rough palms. Additionally, I learnt more about the purpose of national service.

    Very immersive
The artworks were amazing to look at and it feels rather immersive. Feels nice to be recapped about Singapore's history such as the Soo Ching event, Malaya-Singapura Merger and the Mcdonald House Bombing. Our guide, Kith, clearly explained to us the history of Singapore and it was rather engaging.

SDC was recently revamped and as a first time visitor with my sister's family with 3 kids, I was pleasantly surprised at the wealth of stories, interactive exhibits and games available to the public. Although it is a distance, it is really worth the visit!

touring within is free for Singaporeans and PRs but We booked a tour $4 per pax given by SDC Ambassador Cheng Ji who was excellent and passionate in her service and kept us engaged throughout as we learnt about the less known facts of Singapore's history.

We also played the research facility escape room, the easiest of the 4 available plots. The debrief at the end given by SDC Ambassador Yong Wei was very helpful and essential in our understanding of the whole story. I think without it we would have been rather lost. Hope to be back for another game and try out other games available like the paintball and laser tag in the future.

lastly the mind cafe serves really good food at great prices with board games free for rent! Overall we had a great time celebrating my mum's birthday there with novel experiences for the whole family.

Hi Sheena, we are glad that you have so much fun, trying out the many activities at Singapore Discovery Centre and learning more about the Singapore Story. The Research Lab at the Black Lake Facility is suitable for families with young children who can participate in solving the puzzles too. We will be sure to pass on your compliments to Cheng Ji and Yong Wei. And Happy Birthday to your mum from us! Thank you for your review and we hope to see you again real soon!

We are a team of 9 colleagues from Ngee Ann Polytechnic. We wanted to check out the interactive exhibits in SDC. We got more than what we bargained for. On 11th Feb when we came, we were impressed at how the staff in SDC took precautionary measures for nCov and took the temperatures of all visitors all the way from the carpark entrance. We started our day by taking the 4D simulator ride at about 9.30am. The male Malay staff (sorry I didn't take down his name) was kind to suggest deactivating the movement function for one seat as one of my colleagues is prone to motion sickness. Thereafter, we were greeted by Uncle Yeow at 10.30am, who kindly brought us around the centre. He shared with us the Singapore story and it was not the typical Singapore story you have heard of. There were informative and honest info nuggets shared like land reclamation and climate changes caused by Singaporeans. Uncle Yeow is also very knowledgeable and is a perfect example of a servant leader. He reminded us about the importance of Systems and Value in order to serve the people of Singapore. We were also blown away by some of the interactive games and 360 screen in the centre. I think there was even an exhibit that feature a hologram like effect. We never knew that a trip all the way in the far corner of Joo Koon would be this interesting. It was worth the visit. Thank you, Uncle Yeow and staff, of SDC!

Hi Affiniadnan, Thank you very much for leaving us a review and sharing your happy experience with us. We are glad to hear that our colleagues made your and your colleagues’ visit to SDC an enjoyable one. At SDC, customer service is one area we emphasise largely on. In the midst of sharing the Singapore Story, we aim to provide all our visitors a memorable experience. It’s great to hear an appreciation from you, and I’m sure your compliments for Uncle Yeow and Ishaff will definitely bring about a wider smile on their faces. We will also share it with our colleagues, especially the Singapore Story Guide and Visitor Experience teams. On another note mentioned about the temperature checks, taking precautionary measures during this COVID-19 period is very important, so as to ensure a safe and pleasant place for all our visitors and staff. Once again, thank you for your review and we look forward to seeing you again soon!

The newly revamped SDC is really worth a visit. Highly recommend the Through the Lens of Time exhibition as there was so much thought put into the interior decoration, flow, engagement and videos, and is full of important & enriching info about Singapore’s history. Our guide Uncle Yeow was really friendly and engaging and we learnt a lot from him. He also made the exhibition a much more enjoyable and unforgettable experience than if we were to just roam about on our own. Was overall very impressed with the exhibitions!
The staff in SDC were all friendly and patient, especially for the Laser Tag where they guided us and spent time engaging with us which was nice.
Was a nice experience at SDC and hope more people will visit!

Fond memories of this place when I first got my citizenship but all that are gone after visiting twice in a week. Great design & but awful experience.
(see points below);

1. Stuffy and reeks of sweat especially in the gallery theatre (Such a well presented interior but a waste).

2. Nobody explained what the new gallery was about (happen both weekday and weekend).

3. Great freedom to slowly experience the curated exhibition but could be better if there were guides around like all other museum and science center to share & summarise the content and intent when needed just like how I experienced the 1st time as a citizen.

4. No Guide & security presence that leads to rowdy school children and unattended undisciplined children (blame the parents that left the kids treating the place like a playground) which overall spoil the whole mood experience

5. Uncontrolled Station that led others hogging the game and abusing most of things (such a pity to see decorative rubbles being an actual rubble)

Overall, won’t recommend this place anymore for visitors who wants to enjoy a museum gallery as you will be disturbed greatly by the uncontrolled areas.

PS: Paid option for guide is available though, but i would not bet on it as the areas are badly controlled.

Singapore Discovery Centre is never disappointing. Apart from being clean and comfortable for families & friends to spend precious moments together, SDC also provides visitors with beneficial knowledge in a fun & interactive way possible. It imparts values through meaningful stories & history.

One of the insightful learning journeys that we walked through recently is 'Through The Lens Of Time - A Guided Tour". Our tour guide, Uncle Yeow, is a very respected, knowledgeable & approachable staff. He is generous in sharing on Singapore's golden history & his life experiences in an engaging, encouraging & enthusiastic manner throughout the one hour tour. At the end of the tour for the sexond time in a week, he presented his very own little Sg flag collar pin to our child. Our child felt honoured & elated to receive a tiny yet symbolic gift. He wore it with pride.

We also enjoyed our time playing at Laser Tag - Black Lake Laser Battlefield, watching Ghostbusters: Afterlife Movie & riding through SAFTI Bus Tour.

The renovated SDC looks neater and brighter, and added many activities suitable for all ages. The booking of iwerk tickets is also much more convenient with online booking. The closing hours of the center is also extended.

The Singapore Story Guided Tour has gained much traction. Parents were pleasantly surprised by the content of the Singapore 🇸🇬 Story and how it has pique their children's interests in history. We hope to educate our next generation not to take our present good life for granted and feel entitled.
More families 👪 ❤ should come on the Singapore 🇸🇬 Story Guided Tour and take advantage of what Singapore 🇸🇬 Discovery Centre can offer in terms of National Education.
Hope to see more of you in 2022.
Happy New Year everyone ✨ 💛 💖 🤗

I truly enjoyed the whole trip starting from d classroom with our guide Vick. He is very lively in conducting the learning journey discovering singapore . I love the bus tour , touring singapore defense base Safti. We then learned how singapore was built from the sacrifice of the early fore father’s generation working tirelessly, building singapore a beautiful prosperous city . I ended the whole tour with happy hearts and waiting anxiously to be officially a Singaporean with a desire to continue contribute to singapore success sharing beautiful moments with families and friends .

The food, the tour, the craft activities, the movies!
The resturant has fantastic food. Highly recommend the pan fried bee hoon and salted egg chicken.

Lovely place for families as it is not too crowded as the place is huge. The movies are cheaper than outside cinemas and the kids love the titles that it shows.

This is an interactive and enriching tour of the history of Singapore through the dark times of WW2 to her modern day successes. Our guide Mr Yeow was great in delivering the message of the importance of National Defence to the group and how we should not take our peace and prosperity for granted. I will recommend el this to every Singaporean!
