This is the fourth bike rental company I've tried in Singapore since 2012, and this is by far the best bike I've rented. It was only a week old. The service from Tony was also top notch: friendly and convenient.
I arranged the rental on FB Messenger whilst flying in to Singapore in the evening (payment via Paypal) and Tony was at my hotel with the mountain bike at 9:30 the following morning. Included in the rental were helmet and anti theft lock. Tony gave me a quick explanation about road rules for riders in Singapore and I was on my way.
Four days later, Tony was back to collect the bike and handed out the $20 cash deposit.
I get it's a tad pricey but you can't beat that level of convenience. I'll be renting from these guys again.

Recently cycled Pulau Ubin with our guide CT. Fantastic few hours getting out of Singapore. On to the island by ferry and cycled around. Beautiful scenery and CT was a very informative funny guide. A must for anyone with a little bit of fitness that wants time away from the hustle and bustle. Lots of history on this little island.

I am able to more or less balance myself and able to pedal a short distance within 4 hours. Private class allows more privacy and is based on the leaning speed of individual.
Bicycle Tour are also available.

This tour showed that it was available. I booked the tour and waited for confirmation. At 8:30 pm the night before I received a rejection. If the tour isn’t available, then it should not show as available. Now it is too late to find an alternative! Thanks for ruining my vacation.

Dear Nathan,
Unfortunately bookings will only be confirmed when our team double confirms that weather conditions is suitable for the tour or whether there are other unforeseen circumstances. Once assured all is in order, we would we be replying you via email or the Viator portal to confirm your booking within 2 hours from your submission.
You have decided to make a booking at 8pm the night before your intended tour and we have efficiently responded to you half an hour later to confirm that there would be showers the next day. Unfortunately Viator system booking does not respond to weather changes and the Availability indication does not react to it.
Our team commit our time to respond efficiently to client's request and at times, after office hours such as your case. Unfortunately there are very little we could do for last minute booking such as yours when weather not in your favour. As such, my only recommendation to you is to please book early for your future tour interest. This would better ensure your bookings to be accepted and not result in a ruined vacation.

So glad I had time to do this tour - great way to see something a lot don't see in Singapore --- abundant nature. I was the only one of the tour this day and welcomed having my knowledgable and kind guide to myself. He shared a lot of history about the area and was very open to any of my other questions about the island as well.
The riding is relatively easy yet you'll work on some hills. Many places to stop for great photo opportunities. Enjoyed extra touches like the spice garden.
Overall a great trip and I would recommend. My only complaint is that it did not feel like great value for money. The cost was nearly double what I paid for a half day bike around the city trip the day before (and it was longer than this tour with more riding too) I wouldn't have minded a slight premium for the special nature of the island, the ferry, etc, yet double left me feeling like this particular tour was priced higher than necessary.

Hi Sheryl,
I'm really glad you have enjoyed the cycling tour on Pulau Ubin Island and that our guide has proven adept in sharing on this last piece of nature in Singapore.
Pulau Ubin definitely has it's charm, especially for frequent visitors to Singapore who wants to get deeper into the piece of Singapore's history in the early 1900s!
I'm also happy to read that the ride was comfortable enough for you to enjoy and yet challenging enough to create some memorable memories for you. Our team pride ourselves in customising a unique riding experience through carefully selected trails on the island. The route is simple enough for participants of all ages to enjoy and able to reach all must-visit spots on the island.
Finally, I have to agree with you that the cost of the Pulau Ubin tour is definitely more costly than our City tour that you have participated. The reason for that are as such:
1. Cost of Ferry Transfer
We have included the cost of ferry transfer, to and fro Singapore. This way our guides are obligated to meet you at the ferry terminal on Singapore's side and guide you to the complicated ferry boarding system. This process is done comfortably and stress free as our guides are experienced on the best way to get aboard.
We do know of other tour companies who omit the cost from the package and require participants to buy their own ticket and meet them on the island.
The end result is having travelers like yourself having to figure out how to pay for the tickets and sometimes being overcharged. This has resulted in panic moments and often a bad start to a tour for those travelers.
This is what we want to avoid and ensure that your tour is enjoyable from start till end.
2. Mountain Bicycle Equipment
Bicycle used for the Pulau Ubin Tour are way better than those used for the City tour. Reason being because you would suffer dearly for a low performance bicycle on those hills.
Our equipment are outfitted with performance speed gears, rear and front shockers and enhanced disc brakes. These add ons ensure your enjoyment and safety through the tracks during the tour.
3. Commitment to your booking
Regardless of the number of people that has been confirmed, we are committed to fulfil the tour. An example is your tour where there is only 1 traveler, we are committed to ensure our tour proceeds for you.
I hope the sharing has given you a better idea on the costing and thank you for the wonderful review!

Booked this tour not knowing what to expect as this was my first time on a bike tour as I wanted to do something different.
Correspondence between the company and me via emails and even whatsapp was fast and responsive, and they even let me know that there are shower amenities nearby the start and end of the tour if I needed a change of clothes.
Came to the starting point a little late, but the guide, CT, was waiting for me very patiently. Before the start of the tour at 10:30AM, the guide gave me a short brief on things to look out for, and also to let him know if I needed to slow down to ask questions or to take photos along the way.
I was also warned that we might have to push our bikes through several short stretches of road as it was going to be narrow, and also that it was lunch time crunch for workers in the business district - which was part of our tour.
The tour brought me through sights that I will never ever know, and also enlightened me with information that is not readily available on the internet for tourists! Being informed of the car prices in Singapore left me shocked.
The ride through places like Kampong Glam, Bugis up until Chinatown was relatively smooth and easy.
CT warned me again that we have to get down at Chinatown and push our bikes through, which I totally understand because the paths were extremely narrow, and it was near to impossible to cycle through as we were sharing pathways with pedestrians. Stopping near the Hindu Temple, CT treated me to the most unique way of eating ice cream - in a sandwich!
As we moved on to the business district, it got VERY BUSY as warned and expected. CT constantly asked if i wanted to push through to make it easier and I was grateful for the thoughtfulness.
The rest of the route through the Marina area was spacious and easy to cycle, and refreshing as well.
All in all, would I recommend this tour to my friends? Surely! Guides were very knowledgeable, thoughtful and stayed close to riders to make sure we were comfortable.
Also, we were told in advance that we might be pushing through some areas as it was dangerous to cycle through, and I believe this was basic understanding in a busy city and country like Singapore.
Looking forward to our Pulau Ubin Tour with the same company!

The evening tour is not a must do thing when you visit Singapore, I have to say, they did introduced some places and information which is somewhere not all tourists will visit normally. However, during the 3.5hrs of tour, most of the time we are not biking, but we are pushing the bike , because we are cycling on the pathway, the pathway is so narrow and with people passing , especially when we hit the 5-7pm peak hours of downtown CBD , there is NO WAY to cycle at all.
Apart from that, the guide is always too far away from us, the tour is just 2 of us but seem he couldn't manage to take care us carefully, until we told the guide we are sick of pushing the bike and we would like to skip the chinatown , busy area and directly hit to the marina bay sands area , which is much better, becoz the pathway is much wider.
To conclude, we do not recommend to cycling in CBD area, garden by the bay or marina bay sands are way better if you wanna experience the biking in Singapore.

Thank you Athena for the review and I enjoyed our conversation with response to your review.
I believe the explanation has cleared much doubts and you have a clearer idea why cycling tours are conducted in such a way.
I thank you for praising our tour for including locations and information which were unique and recommended them for our future guests.
Our cycling tours does not only focus on the riding but also on the oppurtunity for guests to get closer to sights along the ride.
Guests are required to push in the following circumstances:
- when the group has reached sights which our guide will then dismount the group for a closer view and introduction. Sights such as The Sultan Mosque, Chinatown culture street and the Lao Par Sat Street food stretch are such locations where guests will push through distance not more than 100m to get closer to the sights.
- when bicycles are riding through pedestrian paths. Singapore does not have dedicated cycling paths and it is by LAW for cyclists to give way to pedestrians. In this case, our guides will push ahead of you to open up the crowd. This allows you to walk comfortably without having to worry about the pedestrians.
We have also stressed in our email exchange that our cycling tour would include stops at cultural landmarks such as Chinatown, which you requested to skip. Unfortunately the tour isn't customisable to your demand as we may have other guests who would enjoy those location. I noted that our guide has done his best to fasten the tour past locations you were not interested in as there aren't other guests on the actual day.
Our CBD area houses the only outdoor night market where street food has been restored as it was in the 1960s. This short 100m push through the night market has been a great favourite amongst all our guests as it showcases our country's food culture and local delicacies. Though this is something similar to what you have in your country Hong Kong (it's true our country's culture is very similar), but it would be unfair to persuade other travellers to miss the opportunity to experience it as they don't necessarily have this in their country.
Finally, now that you understand cycling tours would include stops where our guides would share on the history of sights and our culture, pushing of bikes through local stalls to soak in Singapore's unique night market and also include a good amount of riding in our bay for a good distance. We look forward to you joining our Pulau Ubin tour in March which has more rising opportunities in our only island nature reserve in Singapore.

We did the early evening ride and had great fun. Guide Tony was knowledgeable and told us lots of interesting things about the city and living in it. The pace was OK with sufficient stops in between. In early evening the heat is not really a problem. Really a great way to get to know your way around.

A serious organization with good people communicating to comfort you in your choice.
Count around $100 per head for: shuttle boat to and from Ubin, the guided tour, rent a bike, get helmets, ponchos and a bottle of water.
Very professional and safe guide named ‘Ber’ (sorry if misspelled) who was sharing stories and history about the island and caring about the group we were.
A very pleasant afternoon.
Expect between 2 and 3 hours depending on how fast you want to pedal and how many times you want to stop by, take pictures and enjoy the scenery.
Highly recommended.
