Cruising since 1987.

For more than a decade and a half, bumboats have been plying the Singapore River.

The story of Singapore River Cruise begins in 1987. The "Clean Rivers Campaign" of 1983 saw the relocation of bumboats to Pasir Panjang. The familiar painted faces of our Bumboats were due to disappear from its home, until SRC was awarded the tender license to run river services here - the first also, to operate such services along the river.

We are entering a new chapter in the Singapore River story. In this modern age, Bumboats on this historic waterway remind us of its rustic charm. SRC has been preserving the heritage of this important river for more than two decades. Its bumboats have become the icon of our river to visitors and locals alike.

2008 was a year when our iconic bumboats underwent a transformation. The diesel-powered engines of SRC's fleet made way for a new generation of electric ones that boast quieter engines and zero CO2 emissions. These are the very boats that operate along the Singapore River today.

SRC is committed to greater excellence. Under its strong management, the company has developed a firm network of channel intermediaries from government agencies, embassies, event organizers and other operators in the tourism sector, both local and overseas.

From a humble fleet of 4 bumboats in 1987, SRC has since increased its number to 24 today with a few new additions coming onboard soon.

We spent a lovely relaxing and enjoyable river cruise to see the famous laser light show. This informative cruise gives a history of the area along the way including the Merlion down to the Marina Bay Sands Hotel. This quiet bumboat goes very close to the bay to view the laser light show whilst you drink the delicious fruit drink... More

One of the highlights of our far eastern trip. we were lucky that there were only a few people on the boat near to the end, we were the only couple. As one of the previous reviewers mentioned, it gives you a really good perspective of the city and like all other city river cruises, gives a view that you... More

I came here because my daughter love panda a lot. By the time we got here, it was raining. But it didn't make us sad. We still go on cruising. And what do you know? It felt like we are in a real rainforest.. The place was really clean and the food also are good. The panda are really cute,... More

We went on a river cruise at the end of the Gardens by the Bay tour - it was a beautiful night and the river was lit up like a christmas tree. Dropped at Clarke Quay which was pumping with live bands and much fun

It's quite a boring trip at least it has been for us (family of three) and I wouldn't either recommend or do it again. Walking along the river has more value and it's free.

We were in Singapore for 10 days, and we did this on the last day, but I wish we had done it at the beginning of the trip - it gives you a good understanding of the layout of Singapore, you'll spot some attractions you want to go back and explore properly (that you might otherwise miss) and it's a... We went for a Bum boat ride and we got a guided tour by a recorded voice around the Singapore river. It is very fascinating place as structures new and old add to the beauty of the boat ride. I got to know a lot about the Singapore history

This is a Singapore experience not to be missed! Whether you are staying in Marina Bay or Clarke Quay, there is a jetty near you with bumboat departures every 15-20 minutes from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Cruise tickets (S$25) are available at ticketing kiosks at the jetties and need to be purchased before embarking. We chose an evening cruise... More
