- RamboNWAlbertaSpruce Grove, Canada647 contributionsLots of fun and what a view!We took the MRT here, get off at Promenade Station , orange or blue lines connect here.. easy walk to the Flyer from this station. We simply bought tickets here, no line ups. Took about 45 minutes to do the pre walking exhibit and the ride.. The wheel experience is a half hour and what an amazing view. Our 5 year old grand daughter loved it! Great way to see all of Singapore, the harbour, Marina Bay and Gardens by the Bay . Well worth the trip here!Visited March 2024Travelled with familyWritten 7 March 2024
- Neil HReading, United Kingdom184 contributionsGreat ViewsGreat views from the 165m wheel. Very well presented exhibition prior to entering the capsule on the wheel itself. It was a little hot inside the capsule, with only us (a couple) and a family of 4. Possibly uncomfortable if your capsule is full.Visited March 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 10 March 2024
- Kris T143 contributionsViews and perspectivesThe flyer is a must when you visit Singapore, since it includes a history section and a good overview of the city. It’s reasonable to plan it for the start of your visit, so you get an idea what you want to do later. You get a really great view of the city and just tidbits starting from 1200s. Look out for photo taking pushers, though; I ended up falling into a tourist trap and getting a photo with a 50S$ price tag. So refuse any photo taken by someone else unless you collect that sort of memorabilia. Otherwise, it was worthwhile experience.Visited March 2024Travelled with familyWritten 27 March 2024
- beacherRochester, United Kingdom37 contributionsGood viewsGreat way to see the iconic buildings. Air con capsules with seats and guide. The photographs are expensive to buy at the end (tourist attraction so unsurprising) The walk through is really nice too. Good way to spend a couple of hours. We were a big group and they got us all into one capsule. We had several kids (ranging from 12 to 2) with us who lost interest after the first 5 or so minutes of being on the observation tower, but they really liked the interactive walk through at the start.Visited March 2024Travelled with familyWritten 29 March 2024
- Peter TTamworth, United Kingdom1,105 contributionsGreat views across the bay...Great views across the bay - seeing the gardens from above, the sands hotel and the rest of the bay. Plenty of space in each pod and well worth a visit. There is an experience as you make your way to the front if you want to go on a journey - or rush to the main event but expect a queue. Definitely worth a visit.Visited March 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 30 March 2024
- T Tulin T9 contributionsSingapore from a bird's eye viewIt costs 40 Singapore dollars. It takes less than half an hour. There is a queue to enter. It's a bit long to wait, but the view is beautiful, the lights are right at your doorstep, Singapore is right under your feet, but it's expensive in our opinion.Visited April 2024Travelled with familyWritten 22 May 2024
- spedubecBologna, Italy5,799 contributionsSlow rotation speed. This morning we walked to the Ferris wheel in Singapore to try the experience of going up it, as this is the second largest wheel in the world after the one in Las Vegas. The complete revolution takes more than half an hour, as the wheel moves very slowly. The view is breathtaking; however I would have mounted it in a different part of the city with an even better view.Visited June 2024Travelled with familyWritten 2 June 2024

- TraumhoteltesterWittenberg, Germany129 contributionsWorth a visitWe took a taxi straight to the Singapore Flyer and arrived right on time for opening at 10am. The ticket office opened at 9.45am. So it was still nice and empty and we were able to buy our ticket straight away and go through the entrance. The ticket automatically included a visit to the time capsule, which we didn't find all that impressive. So we went through there really quickly and then got into the Flyer's cabin - we had a cabin all to ourselves. That was great. The view was breathtaking and we could see very far. This trip was worth the money. Before entering the cabin, a photo was taken, which could be purchased in a folder for 50 S$ after the trip. You can choose the background and the photo. When we got out of the cabin, lots of tour groups arrived, we were glad to have been there so early.Visited May 2024Travelled with familyWritten 10 June 2024

The Singapore Flyer is a must-see for all tourists visiting the city-state of Singapore. It's one of the most iconic attractions and offers amazing views of the city, but as you suggested, it's best in the evening or at night.
The spacious, air-conditioned cabins make the ride comfortable even during the day, but the magical atmosphere truly reveals itself when the sun sets and the city lights up with light shows. Two of the most evocative moments are sunset, when the sun goes down behind the skyscrapers, and during the shows of the fountains in Marina Bay and the trees in Gardens by the Bay. These are moments when Singapore transforms into a city of bright wonders.
Keep in mind that the ride lasts approximately 40 minutes, so it's important to time it carefully to ensure you're at your best during these shows. The descent, along with the shows, usually takes place at 8pm, 9pm and sometimes even at 10pm. Also, lines can be long, so it's best to plan ahead.
As for costs, the price of around €25-30 (depending on the exchange rate) is reasonable for the experience offered. Alternatively, there is also the option to book a dinner on the wheel, if you want a romantic dinner or a more unique gastronomic experience.
In summary, the Singapore Flyer is an amazing experience that should not be missed, especially if you want to admire the bright beauty of Singapore in the evening. It is an attraction that offers breathtaking views and lasting memories.

One of the largest Ferris wheels in the world, a wonderful view from its 165 meters high, the ride on the wheel lasts about 40 minutes which gives you the right amount of time to admire the panorama of the city of Singapore!
I recommend doing the wheel classroom experience in the evening because in my opinion it is prettier with all the skyscrapers and lights!
The only flaw that detracts from the fifth star rating is the cost, in my opinion 40 dollars per person is a bit high!!
However highly recommended!!

I finally got on the gondola on my third visit to Singapore. This time, I joined a tour that departed from the airport in the evening, and it was included in the itinerary. Between the ticket gate and boarding, I quickly passed by various museums and photo booths where you can take photos for a fee, and finally boarded. The gondola was air-conditioned, so I was able to take a comfortable stroll through the sky. I also happened to be able to see the preparations being made for the back stand for the Singapore Grand Prix. There seems to be a plan to enjoy it as a restaurant, but in that case, you will have to hurriedly eat a simple course meal during the two laps.

My experience with the Singapore Flyer was a mixture of expectations and slight disappointment. Renowned for offering a panoramic view of the sparkling cityscape, the flyer indeed provides a spectacular vista of the astounding skyline of Singapore. The 20-minute ride in the flyer, despite being brief, was enough to capture the city in all its grandeur. We were fortunate to have our own pod, adding a touch of luxury and privacy to the experience.
However, as alluring as this part of our adventure was, the additional Time Capsule was, unfortunately, a letdown. Marketed as a futuristic exploration of Singapore's past, present, and future, I found it to be underwhelming and not worth the additional cost. It seemed more like an artless attempt to extend the offering and left us feeling like our time and money could have been better spent elsewhere.
Singapore is indeed ingenious at crafting attractive tourist spots, but it's crucial to filter out the wheat from the chaff. An example of this is the prominence given to unimpressive attractions such as the Time Capsule. In comparison, the Flyer itself is a great draw for those looking to check out the city's dramatic panorama.
Though I would not strongly recommend the Singapore Flyer, especially with the inclusion of the Time Capsule, it can be a one-time experience for those who have never tasted the essence of Singapore from a dizzying height. With this perspective, one can arguably claim to have seen all of Singapore.

The Singapore Flyer ofers the best views of the city.
these observation decks is a great way to see the city..
As you rise high above the skyline, you get a stunning panorama view of Marina Bay, Gardens by the bay and the famous landmarks like the Marina Bay Sands.
The cabins are spacious and comfortable, making it a relaxing ride.
the best time to visit is during sunset hours so that you can see the sunset also and enjoy the skyline of singapore sparkling in the sky
its a wonderful way to experience the beauty of Singapore from a different angle.

Having booked tickets through an agent in January and paying over £200 for the four of us we made the long walk in 36 degree from the water front towards the Flyer.
We had with us my wifes father who needed to stop several times because of a heart problem.
On reaching the base of the wheel we found it closed with barriers and scaffolding around it
We spoke to a person there and was told it was shut for scheduled maintence from 1st March to 1st April.
Later that day we recieved a message from the wheel hoping we would enjoy our visit and were told we had a slot at 11 am.
From the first booking day we had no specific time.
Had we of known we would not have booked and as we had a limited time in Singapore we would have arranged or schedule differently.
The Flyer company obviously knew when it would be closed but failed to inform the ticket agency or us.
We are now having great difficultly getting our money back.
We are extremely discusted with all concerned.

The Singapore flyer, or Singapore Ferris wheel, is located on the edge of Marina Bay.
Unmissable, you can't pass by without seeing it from its height of 165 meters.
For $40 per person you can climb aboard one of the pods and take a complete tour in 30 minutes with a 360° view of the city.
Before getting on the wheel, we pass through a museum section, a time capsule which gives a retrospective of Singapore, the city, its development, the key figures of the wheel, etc. Very technological, this part was very fun and avant-garde.
We went there at night, the view was magnificent over the bay, the Marina Bay Sands, the marina, the city, Gardens by the bay, etc. The cabins are air-conditioned and stable, it's a real delight as an experience. There are screens that give real-time height info and other facts about the wheel and Singapore
Pleasant and friendly staff. Fair price for the whole thing. Allow 1h30 with the museum and the tour. A must-see in Singapore.

I couldn't imagine anything at first and I thought, Ferris wheel, well. However, we were positively surprised. A round lasts 30 minutes, during which they slowly see the whole country. We were lucky enough to be in one of the giant gondolas only four of us. The overview of Singapore was awesome. Since the gondola moved very slowly, almost not noticeably, you could comfortably marvel at the whole city. The view was awesome. Also the price of SGD 40.00 per person was within the scope. It's very worth it.

Beautiful views, relaxing way to see Singapore skyline. Either by day or night, this is well worth a trip on. Purchasing tickets ahead saves time queuing. Our pod had 10 inside, which was comfortable as they do seat 28.

Hi! I was wondering if they actually ask for the physical card when you go. This is I do not have my physical card, and I am worried that I cannot visit. They only say to bring the physical card AFTER payment.

Hi! I just booked a tour on the exciting Singapore Flyer! However, only after the booking they state that you need the physical card. I do not have one as I used a Revolut virtual card for safety purposes. What can I do please? I spent 55 Euros so I really want to go. Did this ever happen to anyone? Thanks!
Written 5 December 2023
I havent been asked for the card whenever I have gone to the ticket barrier.
Also Revolut is a virtual card but it has a presence in an app, doesn't it?
If so you have the physical means of showing them the account/card etc that paid for the ticket because while virtual that account presented on the app is the card and its source.

Hi, with the infant I assume you will be carrying anyway. The capsules are quite big and there are seats inside. So shouldn’t be a problem.
Sometimes the capsules are almost empty, but even if it is busy the attendants are very good anyway and limit the number of people per capsule, usually no more than 10 pax if not only 6 or 8.
Just remember the trip takes about 30 minutes.
But we always recommend the flyer to our visitors, it is a good introduction to Singapore’s sights and distant districts.
