It was an interesting time interacting with the various resident cats like Mochi, Bubbles, Marshmallow, Mama, Bobo the Siamese cat, Sushi and Cheesescake, among others. You cannot carry them, but are allowed to pet and play with them using toys and boxes etc.

S$16 gets you two hours with the felines, as well as a can of soft drink. You can use your CDC vouchers. You should book a session around meal time at 530 pm.

Staff are friendly and knowledgeable about their feline charges.

They also serve cakes, root beer floats and coffees,in addition to a small giftshop cum souvenir corner near the entrance.

Cats are cute but the staff are really unfriendly especially towards my 7yo son. There was zero engagement from them apart from telling us the rules and warning by son several times to put his mask properly. One staff will sit around either looking at her phone or watching over the customers to make sure they don’t break any rules. I do understand they want to protect the cats but since owner chose to open a cafe, surely customer service and engagement should be part of the package. It’s also better for the kitties when they educate customers how to engage them. The cats also don’t seem to be well taken care of. One cat had fur so long that covered his feet till he couldn’t walk properly. Another poor cat was retching and twitching and clearly unwell. I informed the staff and she merely came to caress her and was dismissive and avoided eye contact with me, basically signaling to me that it’s none of my business. I really hope after we left, the owner is being informed of this kitty’s symptoms and owner gets help for the kitty. Overall, they need to learn from cafes like Catopia whose staff are super engaging and they communicate the rules in a friendly way that you don’t feel threatened. The cats in Catopia are also super friendly and happy which says something about how well the staff are taking care of them. My only fear now is if the Cat Cafe Bugis don’t start improving their service, they may close down and I am worried what will happen to the cats. So owner please wake up and start doing something about your customer service.

Went to the Bugis venue. Spent half an hour trying to find the place.
Don't trust the website for opening times or directions.

It is in a block opposite Bugis Junction. Is next to Bugis Street.
Standing on Victoria Street pavement, as you face the beginning of Bugis Street, Block 241 is on the right.
Walk to that block, then go to the left down a little alleyway. The marking for 241B is on the wall about eye level. Climb stairs to third level.

Get there before opening time (10 am on Fridays and weekends) for the stern warnings about what you can and cannot do.
Inside, ask to sit by the window. Is pleasant in the sun, plus a cat may come and sun itself on your table (as happened for us).

You cannot really cuddle or hug the cats (unless one chooses to sit on your lap) but you can certainly stroke them - very therapeutic for the animal and the human!

The cats are up and about in the morning, fewer humans are up and about, so go then!

I came here with kids just because of the cats. At the reception we were told that kids are not allowed. Frustrating. Time is wasted, kids are sad.

If you want to forget your worries and spend some quality time, this is the place to be.

They take care of rescued cats with whom you can interact and play for 2 hours for a minimal fee of 16S$ (includes a drink).

But don’t go after around 8 P.M as the cats become very lazy and most of them like to be left alone.

High Value for Money and highly recommended. The staff is great too and they will explain to you what to do and what not to do for the sake of the cats.

Expensive entry fee at $16. Yes the cats are cute but there are so many restrictions. We could not pick them up and can only pet them when they are awake. A lot of the cats are sleeping or just wandering around - very shy.

Entry fees were expensive and totally unworthy. Especially when their cats are pretty shy & not so welcoming to petting by strangers. Basically it's just paying to see the cats getting pet by their own staff. The cats are really cute & staff are friendly, but honestly felt so uncomfortable with their close supervision. Nothing much that you can do, except to take photos. Quite an experience, but never again.

First time at Pet Cafe ( Bugis) with my daughter.
It was a good experience.
The cats are moving around and playing with the customers.
I will come back again next time with my son.
The staffs name Juliet, Yunshan, Charlotte are professional in their job.
Thanks for the great hospitality.

Complete waste of money, so they gave us a refund. Before entering the cafe, we were given strict instructions on what we could and couldn’t do. We took our 3 children and the employee who gave us our instructions was extremely rude to our children (in the way she gave the instructions and the way she spoke to them) and informed them that if they broke any rules she would remove them. There were only two sleeping cats in the cafe, the remainder were all sleeping in a separate section and you weren’t allowed to go near those cats. You are not allowed to pick the cats up and if they are sleeping, you must not touch them. So basically we paid $16 per person just to look at two sleeping cats. After two minutes inside, we realised it was a total waste of money and they gave us a refund. I would not go back there.

The experience was generally fair (wouldn’t make another visit though). It was truly underwhelming and disappointing. The staffs were not proactive in introducing the cats to the patrons. They were feeding the cats so obviously, the cats were not interested in playing with the patrons. No toys were given (perhaps, due to the Covid-19 restrictions?). Since the cats were napping and there was no engagement between the patrons and cats, most of the customers seemed to get bored and used their phones instead. I felt like i paid $16 to sit in the cafe and listened to the music instead. The timing does affect your experience so avoid after 6pm. Food provided was alright. First time visiting a cat cafe and needless to say, truly an experience.
