Rest In Peace - Jurong Eco-Garden
Feb 2021 • Friends
A beautiful nature park which sadly has closed today for deforestation and transformation to a transport hub. It’s been partially closed and parts fenced off for some time. Tragically a reality of development. Some beautiful wildlife was to be seen here. Shed a tear for those birds, insects and animals displaced . Tragically sad.

Very quiet park next to the Thow Kwang Pottery
Sep 2020
Taking bus 199 from Boon Lay Interchange, we stopped at the bus stop outside Cleantech One and walked for three mins to JTC Launchpad building. There is a linkway to the garden from here. This garden is next to the Thow Kwang Pottery.
It provides a respite for the working community within the business park as well as the public to connect with nature.
JEG has four areas - Summit Forest, Wildlife Corridor, Stream Ravine and Freshwater Swamp Forest - seamlessly interspersed with building parcels.
The green features include a holistic stormwater management system to collect rainwater for toilet flushing and irrigation.
It is a very quiet garden probably due to its out of the way location.

A Ecological Park
Dec 2017
Sited within the Jurong CleanTech Park, it is a small garden carved out of the swamp to provide a green relief to the otherwise mundane university and industrial estates in this out-of-the-way location.

It is a park that showcases some of the ecological efforts and ideas that can be adopted by a Green City, such as recycling of rain water for water the plants and even flushing the toilets. Also a learning centre for kids to learn about plants cycle, from growth to decomposition.

Not a tourist stop per se, but a place to explore if you have ran out of options.

A very personal garden
Mar 2017 • Solo
Extremely secluded and 'not so easy' to find but that's the good part because it ain't crowded (you'll probably meet a stranger in every 30 mins).

Nice, clean (not so quiet because its just beside a highway).

Generally, its an excellent place for nature lovers.

Worth A Visit
Sep 2016 • Couples
This garden is hidden away from the traffic flow and site next to Thow Kwang Pottery, aka Dragon Kiln entrance. For those who have transport, you can either leave the vehicle at the Cleantech Loop or just the small empty plot of land leading to Thow Kwang Pottery.

The path leading to this garden can be seen prominently. The garden has 4 sections, take your take time to wonder around. There are butterflies in the morning, a central pond. If you are lucky, you may be able to spot a kingfisher.

Since the opening of the park till my recent visit, it is in need of a good maintenance.

Pretty little garden in Jurong
Jul 2016 • Family
We checked out this place this morning. It's a small but interesting enough little garden with some birds and butterflies to see. Not very many people which is a big bonus.

This is quite a small garden. It's pretty. If you have time you can come here for a walk in the evenings or mornings if you are closeby. Good for families.

compared to other gardens in Singapore it is not special, quite new does not have great views

It is pseudo Eco - thats my feeling, because they cleared some jungle to create it (and jungle doe smuch more to keep the air quality good) - this garden is mostly paved with concrete, some small pants, rage territory but not even a community garden there. It is very well kept, but is not remarkable in any way. I hardly ever see any people there, I've now gone several times on my way to Pottery jungle - that is a true gem if you are in this area, easy to get to from Jurong Eco garden (the garden leads to it) and is truly beautiful, versatile and historic. The only nice thing I saw in Jurong eco garden was their butterfly garden with freely flying butterflies that are attracted by bright and scented plants. Singapore has so many beautiful parks and gardens, this is not one of the special ones.

Very Nice Park
Oct 2014 • Solo
Jurong Eco-Garden is a park surrounding Thow Kwang Pottery Jungle. It's quite original in having a letter X shape with four distinct wings. You can explore each wing separately but the most interesting one is at lower end with a short (15-20 min walk) nature trail that would take you through a forest with different types of scenery. It's a beautiful place off the beaten tourist path and I recommend visiting it together with the Pottery Jungle - they really complement each other. Admission to both places is free.
