What a big disappointment: a cat café without any cats. On paper, it sounds a really pleasant idea – which is why I went along. Being a cat lover I thought to myself: what could be nicer than fussing over a few furry friends while having a cup of coffee. Purr-fect! Except it’s not like that at all. The attitude... More

TCOC was next door to my hostel so when I spotted it I was curious to take a look and I needed a coffee! It's not a huge place but I was lucky enough to be the only customer for the hour I was in there. The cats are all rescued and they have plenty to keep them entertained. They... More

The cats are all rescue cats and the little shop in it has unique kitty-themed items. It is one of the pricier cat cafes here ($14 per hour) but the space is large for a cat cafe here. It's cosy, comfortable and the cats are adorable.

Excellent place for a cat lover. The theme obviously is to enjoy all the cats, not the food. The food is decent, however, you're going here for the cats, not the food. Follow the rules as given by management so that you and the cats have a good time. The cover charge is $14 per person over the weekend. This... More

this place is super cute. on weekdays between certain times it costs $10 for an hour including a soft drink. if you want coffee or juices it cost extra. there's around 10 cats all different types that have been rescued. you're not allowed to pick them up but free to pet and play with them. there are toys you can... If you love cats then this is the place for you. Charged by the hour which includes a drink (a percentage of proceeds go to animal charity). You get to spend time in the company of ten beautiful cats.

This cat cafe is super clean, odorless, and full of gorgeous furry kitties. They took a little while to warm up to us but were soon allowing us to pet them and play. The hostesses were so genuine and gave as much information as you want. The iced mocha was delish. If you fancy a quirky visit then pop in... More

You'll probably only want to visit the place if you love cats but it is a peaceful little upstairs room in the bustle of Chinatown. Please remember the place is really run for the benefit of the cats, all of which are adopted strays, so like it or not they are the focus, if you don't get that concept then... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Chinatown is a classic combination of colourful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
