So being in Singapore with a hotel with no pool , I was looking for somewhere to cool down and take a swim , I been to 3 different pools and as a foreigner)uk) had drama at every pool , this pool was the first one I found that lets in foreigners. You cannot pay cash or card on the door , you MUST have the sg active ap , the girl on the counter was very helpful as I didn't have data or Wi-Fi . When you finally get in it like $2 .

A great way to break from the heat and humidity of Singapore, this pool is just a few steps from Lavender MRT and was always quiet when I went. $1.30 for great swim in a spotless environment.

Staying at nearby hotel but in need of a lap pool this centre was great option. Good facilities and not too crowded (at opening time - say compared to pools in Hong Kong). Happily swim there again if in Singapore :)

Very helpful lady at front desk advised me to get an MRT card from 7-11 store across from pool Once that was done I used it to scan ezylink and it cost $1.00!!! It’s very busy and there lane swimming is different just check the instructions near pool. I wasn’t allowed to use hand paddles as the lifeguard said as I might hurt someone with them!! Also get coins for lockers for your things. No chance of a shower after full to the brim with healthy elderly women. Tiles around pool really slippery.

So I had a random day to spend in Singapore waiting for a late flight. I'd had a sleepless overnight bus trip and was pretty spent. Arrived at the Golden Mile Complex and found out about this place. Exactly what I was looking for! You can get in by using your metro card or by building a ticket from the electronic machine on the left at the entrance. At $1.30 it is seriously the cheapest swim, shower, toilet, sleep combo I've ever had! The pool is clean, and seems to have quality life guards. The showers and toilets are wet but clean (obviously bring your own sandals or thongs) and there is a grandstand above the pool which was empty and has beautiful long and wide benches underneath cover perfect for napping! Seems like quiet a popular place with locals and there were a few other foreigners sun baking on the deck chairs pool side. The kiddy pool looked like fun and the kids that were doing lessons seemed to be having an awesome time.
Would highly recommend.

Great cheap open swimming complex, with lap pool and small pool for kids as well.
Centrally located with good food places around.
The lifeguards are also very friendly and talkative. So I am always happy to come back ;)

The Jalan Besar Swimming complex has good opening hours and is a large pool. Swimming is a great option if you need a break from site seeing and shopping. The pool admission is is less than $2.00?
