Avoid the Jamal Kazura store located close to the mosque on Bussorah St ! However, branch at No 21 recommended.

Previously visited in 2012 and much enjoyed the freedom to browse perfume oils, select from the wide variety and have them blended into my own "designer" fragrance. I returned in November 2019 in the hope of repeating the experience, only to find that staff and attitudes have changed significantly. The opportunity to blend perfume oils is no longer offered and customer service in the branch of the store close to the mosque is abysmal. The two female staff on duty when I visited were singularly unhelpful and I left without purchasing. Aware that there are a few other branches of this same store, I moved on to the Jamal Kazura shop on the corner of Bussorah St, at No. 21. The gentleman assistant here was much more forthcoming, helpful, and flexible on price when buying a larger quantity. Unfortunately the opportunity to blend oils has apparently been stopped throughout the chain, but if you've purchased before and know what you wish to buy, you can simply purchase the oils in separate bottles and mix as you apply to the skin. I was happy not to have given up after the unpleasant experience visiting the first store, and am delighted to have restocked with supplies of perfume oils whose fragrance in wear long outlasts all other customarily available conventional perfumes. Whilst prices at first sight are not cheap, a little of the perfume oil goes a long way thus the oils represent good value for money.

After visiting alone in 2022, I visited with my family this time in September 2024. The family's eyes were twinkling and their hearts were racing when they saw the beautiful perfume bottle! As always, the staff are kind and very nice.

For many years I have been buying Ohud oils in the Bushara street store. But the quality of the oils from my last visit was very disappointing.

Ohud comes from many tropical countries in Asia. Cambodia is rated as one of the best, India, Malaysia and Thailand follow.

Typically a 6ml bottle of Cambodian Ohud would be around US$!50. and about US%75 for the Malaysian oil.

I purchased two 6 ml bottles one from each of the above regions. But the staying power was simply not there. The top notes in the Cambodian oil was so strong I had to keep a distance from everyone for nearly 30 minutes.

After about 3 hours the aroma was all but gone.

This place was under my list while I was planning my trip to Singapore since it has gained so much good reviews from the tourists. Jamal Kazura Aromarics, it has total three branches, head office is along North Bridge Rd and another two branches are lying along the Bussorah St.

I got myself two bottles of 6ml perfumes, one is Heighty and another one is Soul. And my favorite is Heighty! The smell isn't too strong , not woody which I dislike the most, bit spicy and fruity. For me, it suits for daily use. And each of them cost me only 10sgd. Definitely I will come back again during my next trip.
By the way, the staffs from this branch, they speak very well Japanese, may be this is the reason why all the reviews were written in Japanese!

Returned here after 7 years to refill on some of our favourite oil perfumes. Great service and great products. A must visit for us whenever we’re back in Singapore.

Jamal Kazura was recommended from the Free Singapore Tour offered at the airport. Walking into the shop, your eyes will be suddenly attracted to the colourful glasses with strange geometries, studded with gems to complete the vessels. I'm no expert on the quality of oils but Jamal offers a wide variety of scents and the option to create your own perfume. You can happily spend 20 minutes in this shop and find it difficult to walk out without something. Great deals, awesome scents and a very interesting shop.
