- NymphsisSingapore, Singapore101 contributions'Old Fashion' WorthyI've been wanting to try this place since finding out about it, and it is well worth the 'try our luck' pop in. This is a whiskey speakeasy bar with a whole variety of whiskey on display when you enter into the bar area. Plushy leather seats and a thick wooden table with leather lined at the edged. Super cozy and quiet in the early opening hours, peaceful for a drink to start the night. The menu of cocktails is extensive, and you can get small simple meal there before ordering your drinks. I love how the 'Old Fashion' comes with 3 slivers of citrus fruit where you can mix and match your own 'tune' to it, to give the finishing touch before you take your first sip. For those that cannot find what they are looking for in drinks, there's a choice of creating your own cocktail via your base and etc, so the bartender will mix one up for you. Finger food that is given, consisted of dried fruits, the Japanese kind, and it goes so well with whiskey base. The mentaiko pasta, is oh my God one of the best I've had in Singapore, and the cold pasta noodle with ume really leaves you craving for more the next day and so appetite opening. There's more to the menu to explore and I'm looking forward to going back there next. A reservation is best reccomended, if like my walk-in, we were lucky to get a 1hr seating before the reserved party comes. Reservation! Or head to their other shochu speakeasy bar which is just as interesting.Visited October 2020Travelled with friendsWritten 8 November 2020
- CAGreensSingapore, Singapore519 contributionsNot worth itThe place is pleasant enough, and honestly the drinks are delicious. But there were two issues. One is that the staff were quite intrusive. We couldn’t take more than 2 sips of water before the glasses were refilled, or eat a few nuts before the precious little trays were replenished. We were trying to have a business conversation and were constantly interrupted. The other problem? The drink prices. Again, the drinks were very good. But they were TWICE the price of the other expensive bars we like to frequent (Jigger & Pony, Atlas, Elephant Room, Spiffy Dapper, EO, etc. No kidding, twice the price. Sorry: just not worth it.Visited October 2022Written 17 November 2022
- dysSingapore, Singapore454 contributionsEnjoyed the ambience more than the drinksWe had a couple of drinks here at the recommendation of a friend, who had also "warned" us of the prices, so no shock element at all. The ambience was lovely and the seats were really comfortable. Service was better than that of many other bars, but that's to be expected. We ordered our favourite cocktails and the Japanese bartender took notes of our specific requests for taste. Unfortunately, the drinks were served with a huge cube of ice, which is bad news for those for like their drinks strong. For our next round of drinks, my companion requested for hers to be served with a smaller of cube of ice, but this was not acceded to. Not sure if it was a miscommunication or they simply did not want to do it.Visited October 2019Written 9 October 2019

Disappointed. Location good. Ambience okay. Seats comfortable. Strange service approach - over attentive e.g topping water and snacks continually - okay - but then using counter by drinks to store old drinks and plates and then wash up where we were sitting. Offered and decided for bespoke cocktail plus Spanish omelette and a cheeseboard without checking the price. My fault for not clarifying but bill was very, very expensive and not value for money. Can not recommend and hence disappointing. Rating so high but am surprised. Other bars in Singapore are better - expensive but absolutely value for money.

Pretty cool and classy place if you love whisky/ cocktails. Staff wasn’t super friendly, but great ambience with relaxing classical music here.

Been here once before and had a good experience.
However on the second visit, we got to witness a manager or senior staff repeatedly punch one of the bartenders in some sort of bullying. He did this in full view of staff and customers. This was on 22 January.
In addition, we just had one drink each which came to $125, which was not advised to us in advance.
The drink price I can forgive and forget, buy the bullying of staff is something I can't forget and will tell everyone about

When to bespoke to grab a drink. Had the worst service ever. How they could achieve to be in top 50s is shocking. No pricing, does not make any sense for customers not knowing the price n just order.
Such a ripp off place. If i could give 0, i would.
