This Hindu temple is located on the southernmost edge of Chinatown. Few tourists exhausted by the heat and humidity venture down here even if it is worth it. Inside, where you enter barefoot, there are only faithful praying and bare-chested monks with orange robes covering the lower part of the body.

It was a small beautiful temple in Chinatown. It was so colorful so it was really easy to recognize it. I was there to worship lord Ganesha but it was too crowded. I saw him but I couldn't walk inside. People praying around like there was no other place to spleen in anymore

We came came across this temple when walking back from a cafe we had been to for lunch. The temple is beautiful and is newly renovated according to our taxi driver.

The premises is good to go in with respectable clothing. I am of the opinion that this temple complex needs to be cleaned rigorously.

This is another of the many small temples throughout the city and is located in Tanjong Pagar, just south of Chinatown.

Considering its size, the gopuram (entrance tower), is still very detailed and colourful.

Like all temples and places of worship here, remember to take your shoes off as a sign of respect when visiting.

I've found this temple by accident, on my way from Chinatown MRT to Pinnacle @ Duxton. It's much smaller and definitely less busy than Sri Mariamman, but it looks equally pretty from the outside.

The "Sri Layan Sithi Vinayagar Temple" is located in midst of Chinatown at the junction of Keong Saik Road and Kreta Ayer Road. I visited this small Indian temple whilst staying in Keong Saik Road at the "Naumi Liora Hotel" which is a 2 minute walk away. The temple was built in 1925 and as with all Hindu places of worship it has a vibrant and interesting décor. Worshipping hours are from 7:30am until 12 noon and then from 5:30pm until 8:30pm and you'll be sure to see some interesting devotees as the temple was very busy when I visited at 9:30am one morning.
Remember to take your shoes off as you enter and respect that this is a place of worship, there is no entrance fee and photo's are allowed. You don't need much time at this temple (15 minutes max) as it is way smaller than the other more popular and well known temples in Singapore but Keong Saik Road in itself is a colourful and vibrant road with some great restaurants and cafes. So well worth taking a walk down this road and enjoying the culture and the vistas.
