Whether the signature, glass jelly or bean curds, I love all their desserts that come with taro balls.

If you want a fantastic experience, travel to Singapore. From the rides and fun of Sentosa to the food courts - Singapore has it all. People say Singapore is expensive, yes it can be but the trick is - Think Like a Local. Where we stay in Toa Payoh, at the local food court I can get a plate of egg noodles / 2 fried eggs and a cup of coffee for only S$4. On Orchard Road it would 3 or 4 times as much. Re the Food Courts - there is everything and anything. Tourist spots. You need at least 10 days. Go for it

Just located nearby by Toa Payoh MRT, beautiful park to take a leisurely stroll or just find a spot to sit and ponder on life.

An area of tranquillity right on the doorstep of the first town designed entirely by the HDB and, the first MRT station. Fairly large for a park of this nature. Fantastic photo opportunity for most purposes. Loads of spaces and greenery. A great place to perform reflections, meditation and, seek inner peace.

Average? This is much bigger than average and also has a better than average water feature.

Very good? Well the best part is the Chinese garden style landscaping, especially the cute arch bridges. But they are simply copies of the real thing. Photogenic maybe, but fake nonetheless.

And while it looks serene, the roads on both side are loud. It is not nearly as peaceful as you might hope.

And if you have ever been to Centennial Park Sydney, or more locally Lumpini Park Bangkok, well, scratch another star off. The tyranny of living in a country 50 kms across.

I've passed through this park a few times when walking from Toa Payoh mrt through to the Balestier district. At the moment it seems to be undergoing some renovation work. It's just a regular suburban park and not really worth going out of your way to visit.
