Passing by on our way to Transit to Manila from JFK. We were attracted by the beautiful orchids. (Mind you after an 18 hour flight, your focus is to recover and relax) but the colors of the entire garden is eye catching. From a New Yorker, orchids in those numbers is a site to behold. It does lift a little of the stress of one’s mind enough to whip up your camera or phone and snap photos. You be the judge.

Visited the Orchid Garden just before Covid struck the world - so 2019 not 2021 as below, but it is an experience that just should not be missed.... whether you are interested in gardening or not. An absolute education and we loved every moment spent there.

Only a small feature located in Changi airport, however small feature with a huge impact on the natural wonders of Singapore, a city that embraces nature in design and well being of the city

This specific area is located in Terminal 2 at Changi airport. It is like a mini oasis. It offers a momentary peace of mind amidst the hustle and bustle of an airport terminal. It is especially delightful when you have a late or early morning departure when there are less passengers about. You can actually admire, spend time and appreciate this mini tropical landscape respite. A very pleasant and pleasing experience.

What can I say? If you like orchids, and even if you don't, you cannot fail to be impressed by these magnificent displays. If you have some spare time at the airport, even a few minutes, it is well worth a visit.

Another one of the gardens located in Terminal 2 of Changi Airport. I prefer this one to the other ones since it has nicer flowers and a bridge that goes over the Koi pond. It is quite a nice place to just sit and relax for a bit while walking around the huge terminals.

You need to find where you want to visit within the airport before you check out of the security area. You are not allowed to take the trolley cars with your luggage through the attached Jewel Mall.

This feature inside the airport is lovely and you can take a good photo there however, everyone carrying a camera seems to have the same idea so, be prepared to wait your turn to take your prized photo. The floral splendour shows that they've been cared for and loved and the Koi are fat and happily swimming around. It doesn't take long to visit these places in the Airport so you do not have to worry about time if you have at least 30 minutes to spare.

Can I visit there before get through customs if I don’t transit in Changi? And if I can, is my checked luggage moved to other place?

The garden is located in the secure portion of the airport (Terminal 2), behind the security check points. So if you’re transiting and you stay in the secure area you will be able to visit the garden.
