- Your Travel Buddy SGSingapore, Singapore32,261 contributionsAverage ExperienceThe family used this lounge during our trip to Japan in November 2023. We found the food option rather limited. Its not a really big airport lounge but it was appropriate for a short stay prior to one's flight to relax and fill the stomach. Alcoholic drinks were offered but they came in plastic cups and glasses. Seats were rather limited as i could see during my visit. The washroom were clean which was a positive. Other than that, a rather average experience.Visited November 2023Travelled with familyWritten 11 December 2023
- 7potatoUnited Kingdom214 contributionsReasonable lounge to while away the time before a flight.Reasonable food and drink offering - nothing special but filled a gap. Reasonably busy when we visited (Monday evening, late February). Staff did OK job clearing tables, topping up food etc.Dear Sir / Madam, Thank you for providing your feedback regarding your recent experience at the Ambassador Transit Lounge in Terminal 3 of Singapore Changi Airport. - Alan J4 contributionsOK place to spend an hour or two.We had to use the transit lounge, as the Premier lounge normally utilised by Air NZ was unavailable. The lounge is adequate, but not up to Koru standards. You have to arrange a pass beforehand, from the transit area. Food OK, but variety of drinks minimal, and alcohol has to be ordered from the kitchen staff. OK for a short stopover. Shower facilities available.Visited February 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 19 March 2024

I needed much R&R. I booked for the 6hr package including lounge shower and bed cubicle. Bed was firm and luxurious. Facilities modern and clean. Food was more than you could hope for. - MNarcisoSydney, Australia98 contributionsQuite okay, but not more than thatIt’s a fairly small lounge so if capacity hits (say) 40 people, you might find yourself unable to get a seat. I would recommend having a look first to see if there is a space for you & your companion. If you unfortunately find yourselves on the bar stools, the issue would be the power points which are near the ground. This means you must have a long enough cable for you to charge your phone/iPad/laptop. Otherwise you’ll need to place these on the floor (awkward!) to charge. As for the food, it was alright. I saw they had vegetarian options which looked good (but didn’t try it). Not enough desserts & ice cream. The staff were VERY nice though. Two thumbs up on that front. Overall, I cannot say that it was worth the money but it was a break from the bustle of Changi.Dear Sir / Madam, Greetings from the Ambassador Transit Lounge, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We appreciate your insights regarding seating capacity and power point accessibility, as well as your comments on the food options. - Helen TBournemouth, United Kingdom25 contributionsLovely shower, awful foodI've used the shower facility a few times on my way to Australia. It's lovely, and not a bad price. SIN$20 (11GBP). Unfortunately I chose to buy the shower/ lounge/food option which was a mistake. (SIN$68) (£40). There are no comfortable chairs, very stark furnishings and the food is truly awful. I had a piece of toast and a coffee from the vending machine. Really not good. Wish I'd saved my money and just had the shower.Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing your feedback about your recent visit to the Ambassador Transit Lounge – Terminal 3. We're pleased to hear that you enjoyed the shower facilities and found them to be good value. We regret, however, that the lounge experience and food did not meet your expectations. Surprisingly poor lounge given it's location in Changi. Shower facilities are quite shocking with mould on the ceiling and around taps/soap dispensers. Taps are worn. Food selection is very average with plain fare on offer. 'Pasta with tomato sauce' and 'honey chicken wings' may sound good but tasted bland. If you book via 'Changi recommends' be aware that alcohol is not included. The full price paid at the reception includes 2 alcoholic drinks apparently. The soft drink/juice selection is limited to apple juice and orange juice. No fresh fruit juices. Massage chairs were out of order (didn't see that mentioned at reception). Many USB sockets (oddly, on the floor) don't work. Lounge area is small and gets crowded quickly. When a noisy group came in, no effort was made by staff to quieten them down. Having been to many airline and pay-per-use lounges this is by far the worst I have been too. Better off picking a quiet corner at the airport terminal and using the facilities there. Cleaner, better food/drinks and more comfortable. Only worth it if you're desperate for a shower after a long flight and don't mind the substandard state of the shower.

I would not recommend this lounge to anyone, it is not clean, the food is cheap and nasty and the toilets are not cleaned even there is a full time cleaner! I requested the reception counter to tell the cleaners to attend to the toilets as they were dirty and then as nothing had been done I asked the actual cleaner to clean one of the toilets for me. I found her sitting in the corner concentrated on playing with her phone.
She came with these long food tongs with little bit of toilet paper and dipped that INTO the toilet water to clean the toilet with it! With no chemical what so ever. I was appalled and said aren't you going to use chemical and she said yes yes just wait a moment and she went to get it and did the most average job I've ever seen.
Even after the "cleaning" I felt I had to cover the toilet with toilet paper to sit on it and literally not touch anything.
I wonder how their food hygiene practices in the kitchen are if the cleaners have absolutely no training or care how to clean! I was amazed as the public toilets were spotless and you pay to access a lounge and it is in this condition.
The food was average, some hot chicken wings and cookies kept us going. When asked for beverages we were not allowed to choose from the beer choices and they had literally 4 beer glasses until they ran out and we had to use the same ones again and again.
There seemed to be one person cooking, cleaning the tables and not even in a uniform of any sort. Very unprofessionally and poorly ran Lounge I would recommend not to waste your money or be careful not to get sick.

This is something else! I would avoid this lounge and wouldn’t return even i was paid for it. All the chairs are so close to each other, plus they really do stink. I was in shorts and had to dress head to toe so they don’t touch my body. Charging sockets provided but don’t work! Food - looked at it and didn’t take anything... pretty horrendous. I thought id make a cup of tea. What can go wrong with a cup of tea? - even that looked horrible. Literally sat there wanting to leave however my partner wanted to stay as we paid £30 each. I guarantee its better to wait for your flight in the open areas where you can access all the facilities and restaurants. I understand that lounge sometimes feels like a cheaper option but trust me for the money you will spend on the lounge you can have a nice snack in the open area!

Lounge was small, chairs were all very close together making it very uncomfortable, no space for relaxing. Furniture was worn out, uncomfortable and old.
Food was basic and drinks bar was in the kitchen area. Some of the staff clearing the tables were friendly, the receptionists were not.
The only good point was to be able to have a shower, individual bathrooms were spacious with changing are, sink and shower cubicle. Bathroom was a bit old and not as clean as it could have been.
Very poor standard compared to pay per use lounges in the UK, even those at regional airports.
Changi airport is excellent, the ambassador lounge is not.

Waiting transit we decided to check into the ambassador lounge to have some food and rest. The cost was over priced and the lounge is small. There were only 5 selections of hot food 3bof which I didn't eat. The food quality is poor. We were told you can drink all the alcohol you want but there is no bar and I didn't see anyone with alcohol. The coffee is overly strong and hot. We were told not to sit in any of the recliner chairs. We had a shower water pressure was poor and water mildly warm but took 5 mins to get to this temp. Indo not recommend this lounge. For almost the same cost you can rent a room and have a bed.

Absolute rip off! Paid SGD$120 for 6 hours in a private ‘nap’ room to listen to someone snoring for 5. Hours before I had enough and left. Used to pay this for a room with a private shower. Did not pay to go into the library unheeded and experience the food offerings. Sorry, you have really missed the mark here best to redesign your rooms so they are sound proof. I almost threw my water bottle over the room divider at the light lumberjack cutting down trees next door! At least one of us got some rest. Will be finding a quiet piece of carpet on my return leg. Avoid at all costs! And yes I even had earplugs in….

We had 6 hours in Singapore Airport so I treated us to a lounge that promised comfy seats to relax in, food and drink. In truth the line was over booked, cramped and not clean. There were no seats at all for us so we were ushered into a small dark meeting room and had dirty old chairs to sit on. It was appalling. I don t like writing reviews like this so I emailed them immediately with photos but after chasing for a reply and not getting one out of principle I feel I now have to warn people

Priority pass holders get 3 hours access then you have to leave and come back and pay again. The reception desk staff are unfriendly, unwelcoming and rude. Food is abysmal. Very limited offering. Frozen prepackaged food is nuked in a microwave. I will be we visit again. The only positive was the shower and the ladies who manage the showers. Other than that, it's disgraceful.

Not my cup of tea. The pictures look nicer then the actual place.
This place definitely is not climate friendly aka not sustainable or care about how plastics impact the environment. When they serve lunch they provide black plastic plates and white plastic spoon and one time use chopsticks. Soup noodles are using polystyrene bowls.
I really failed to understand why this is a necessities.
The food is ok. Not a lot of choice. I would avoid if feasible.

Very disappointing Lounge for an international airport. Limited seating capacity, mainly single armchairs not suited to families. Hot water was out of order so no tea available, coffee only instant Nescafé machine - No cappuccino or latte here! Alcoholic drinks are only issued against a voucher, no bar service. Food mediocre. Staff do not speak English. We used our DragonPass to access the lounge and had to pay $40 for our child to enter, not worth it and should not be included in the network of member lounges as not up to current international standards .

I will be arriving Changi airport at 5pm and I'd like to explore the airport in the evening, catch some sleep before I proceed to my meeting at 8am the next day. is it possible for me to explore the airport? any recommendations for a cheap hotel in the aiport area?
Written 2 July 2019
Probably u have asked this in the wrong place. Still I will try to help in as much i can. This lounge gives u access for 3 hours. Probably with extra money u can have some more hours. There are several hotels inside the changi airport and u would have to do ur research for a cheaper option. Outside the airport u are sure to have a hundred options. Again it will be on ur research. And yes it is possible to explore the airport. Shud not be an issue. And after u have done all u wanted u can exit.

Is it possible to access the Transit Lounge upon arrival? (Will need a shower before starting my day in Singapore).

Yes it is. Just don't expect spotlessly clean showers.

Is there somewhere secure where we can leave our carry on luggage whilst we walk around the airport?
Written 15 April 2019
I don't think the Ambassador Transit Lounge offers this, but Changi Airport has several baggage storage options in all their terminals. Rates range from S$5 for loose items to S$18 for extra large baggage, but you will probably need to check in person regarding their policy on storing electronics/other valuables.
For more info, you can check the Changi website (I suggest googling "Changi baggage storage" or similar). Wanted to share the link with you but Trip Advisor doesn't allow posting links.

I have an 11:45pm flight out to Paris and was hoping to book a 6 or 8 hour room after checking out from my hotel in the city and come out to the ambassador to relax and not worry about traffic before my late flight. Am I able to do this as I won’t have a boarding pass so early before my flight? I had planned on this as I am travelling alone with my 2 year old so trying to make as stress free as possible.
Written 27 December 2018
Hi Emily
When we used the Ambassador Lounge we didn't need a boarding pass as we were in the secure area anyway. As you will be outside the secure area until you get your boarding pass The Haven is the only transit lounge in the public area, haven't stayed there, but you can check out reviews. It is listed here /en/airport-experience/attractions-and-services/pay-per-use-lounges.html I can only speak personally for the Ambassador Lounge Terminal 3 You can book for 3 hours and pay per hour after that. Excellent facilities even if a bit jaded, but good food and shower etc.
There is Early Check in available for some flights up to 24 hours before your flight depending on the airline you are using. this is where you will find details
/checkinearly.html Don't hesitate to email Changi as they are very informative and answer very quickly.
Also if you are able to get early check in take advantage of the $40 voucher it can be used toward your Ambassador lounge stay. Details are here
/passenger-guide/transit/changi-transit-programme.
I do hope I have been of some help went through something similar in September and can be very stressful getting the correct information and I didn’t have a 2 year old (but did have a husband, bit similar!)
Please contact me if you need any more info.
When I went to post apparently websites are not allowed so have removed first part of URL Go to Changi website and see if you can find these sites. If not I will give you my email and contact you direct.

Hi,
Regarding the shower facility, are towels & toileteries provided ?
Is the shower facility chargeable if I use a Priority Pass Card ?
Thanks and regards,
Written 25 September 2018
Hi. Very clean facilities. Towel was included and basic toileteries. I used my own hairwash and conditioner. There was body wash from memory but that was also meant to be used for hair as well. No extra cost. Don't know about the Priority boarding pass. When I used this facility though there was a queue and I had to wait about 20 minutes for a shower to be free so don't leave it until the last minute. It may have been particularly busy on that day.

Hi, We have a very long connection in Singapore and would like to use the Changi Transit Program to get a complimentary 2 hours stay in the lounge. Does anyone know whether we will need to pay extra to use the showers? Thankyou!
Written 23 July 2018
We stayed in the lounge for quite a few hours. We didn't need to pay extra for the showers. However when we went there, there was a bit of a queue for the showers so ensure that you go when you arrive.
Written 24 July 2018
Hi, do you book the gym once you arrive or is there a way to do it before travelling? I could only see the ability to reserve a 3 or 5 hour period in the lounge on the website.
