The area
Neighbourhood: Marina Bay
More of a mini city than a neighbourhood in the traditional sense, the iconic Marina Bay aims to dazzle and entertain visitors of all kinds. This is the Singapore found in glossy brochures, featuring a world-class hotel, casino, shops, restaurants, bars, and other attractions all geared towards pure entertainment. The SkyPark at Marina Bay Sands provides a stunning view of the city, a must-see photo opportunity for visitors and locals alike. The ArtScience Museum always has a top-quality exhibition, and Gardens by the Bay is a fascinating manifestation of the government’s vision of Singapore as a “city in a garden”. Enticing Marina Bay is well worth a visit.

It is totally easy to overlook this bridge. The more popular, pedestrian Jubilee bridge is next door with the incredible views of Marina Bay, the Marina Sands and the Merlion or even the historic Cavenagh Bridge on the river. However, under it or along the river to the north, the incredible artistic achievement that is the bridge slaps you. It was made for amazingly beautiful geometric pictures. This gem is hidden in plain sight, but once you see it, it is amazing. It simply has incredible architectural lines and views. However, if you only drive above it, you will miss it all. Go underneath and see as the pictures are great but don't do it justice.

This bridge spans over 250 metres across the Singapore River and is one of many around this area and the nearby Boat Quay. The great thing about this bridge is that it provides great views of the waterfront, Merlion Park and the Marina Bay. The other great thing is that there is a pedestrian and cyclist bridge that runs alongside it called the Jubilee bridge. Much narrower than the Esplanade Bridge, the views are just as good.

The Esplanade Bridge is a traffic bridge.
If you want to walk and take great photos use the Queen Elizabeth Walk right next to traffic bridge.
I have driven across this bridge several times myself as a Australian tourist.
I have rented 2 different Lamborghinis a Ferrari and a McLarens from Ultimate Drive Marina Bay and this bridge is part of where you drive.

The Esplanade Bridge is a 261-metre-long (850 ft.) road bridge that spans across the mouth of the Singapore River in Singapore with the Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay on its northern abutment and the Merlion on the southern. The 70 metre-wide (230 ft.) low-level concrete arched bridge has seven spans and supports two four-lane carriageways and walkways along both sides. Construction of the bridge began in early 1994 and was completed in March 1997. The Bridge offers beautiful views all around.

Walking from the esplanade to the main central business district of singapore, you will either use this bridge or see this bridge. Very scenic and picturesque with good photo taking opportunities.

Excellent place to talk a sunset walk in Singapore. Great views of Marina Bay Sands, Marina Bay Financial Centre. The magnificent Fullerton Hotel is next to the bridge.
Good place to spend evening , lighting in the front is exceptionally beautiful.
There are lot of spots to take good selfies and landscape photos of Singapore waterfront and business district.

Despite some good views which can be got and a good photograph vantage point, this bridge is predominantly for traffic, a bit like Benjamin Sheares Bridge close to Marina Bay Sands.

For a better and easier walk, and something which is more pedestrian friendly, along with great Instagram opportunities, check out the bridge which runs parallel to it, Jubilee Bridge, built to mark SG50.

This very busy bridge connect the Merlion with the Concert Hall and Marina Bay area. It has two way traffic and there is a underpass with a small cafe for you to relax ther. It located next to the Jubilee bridge.
