I went there to purchase some sarees. The sales lady Sarala in the saree shop was very friendly and super helpful. She patiently spent time with me to help me make my decision. Will recommend. Lots of choice in various price range.

Two floors selling everything from gold jewellery, watches, clothing and general groceries. Wide selection of imported and local chocolates & some souvenirs.
Prices are comparable. Easy to find.
Building site shared with Star Point Hotel.
Not designer/ high end like Sogo’s but still considered to carry upmarket goods by locals.

Haniffa Textiles for all things sari and sari related. You are blinded by all the jewel-like colours and bling! Something for everyone and every budget here, but the staff can be quite grumpy.

My family and I went in to look for sarees. We were indirectly insulted and rudely spoken to just because we decided to drape a particular saree that we liked. If we have made a mistake, they should at the very least have the curtesy to tell us properly... not insinuate that we are stupid and ignorant in handling sarees to another employee. This behaviour is totally unacceptable!

The place was very messy and unkempt and the Sales staff is simply rude. When we went there yesterday and we made a mistake of taking a saree and looking at it, one of the salesman told the other than we were stepping on the saree with our shoes. When I corrected him to say that we were not stepping on it , he rudely told me that he was not talking to me ... I don't know how we can tolerate such rudeness. Will not be going there at all ...

Check that everything you have bought are put in the bag before they tie it up. I made the mistake of taking them on trust. One of the Dhotis, the more expensive one was not packed into the bag. When i called them about it, they simply said that there could have been a mistake but what can we do. No attempt to find out anything about the incident. Once you have paid, it is not their problem.

been to this place numerous times, i will say this is also my favorite place after mustaffa center, unlike mustaffa, this place is not 24hrs. they have a reasonable range of products from spices, sweets, medicines, goldsmith, toys, watches etc. price wise is really resonable. as per usual, weekends too crowded. there are many eateries/ fine indian reastaurants to cheap eats along this stretch of road called Dunlop Street. a few hotels nearby. this store has a luggage store just after 2 shops and a textile shop outside serangoon road ( little India ) this place is very near to the little India Station.
