After a long day of walking around the city, the Supertree concert was a well deserved break.
I was enchanted for a few minutes by the music and lights in a gorgeous, futuristic looking garden.

We saw the night light show here, which was very nice. We also went back and did the observatory, which provided a good view of the city. All in all, a worthy stop.

I visited Supertree Grove when I spent 5 hours at Marina Bay Gardens. The trees are very Tolkien like and transport you to a magical world. It is free to view the Grove, but there is a charge to ascend two of the trees. My only regret is that I did not return at night as it would be even more magical.

This place is fascinating and is a “must” visit venue if you are in Singapore. You have to go up the tree when you are there to see the breathtaking views of MBS and the surroundings from the observatory centre. At night you won’t want to miss the amazing lighting and shows which glow exuberantly. The ambience is truly amazing.

We LOVED this iconic space. So much on a 5 night stay we went 3 times.
The dance of the lights on the tree structures really brings them to life, with the Marina bay sands hotels as the backdrop was stunning. The music and timing really does make it a super show. We would come here every night on every visit if we could. 10/10

I was interested in seeing the evening light show but wasn't expecting a lot from it. But it really was much better than I imagine. The light show was set to various opera and people fill the area and just sit or lay down on the ground and watch. It was just overall a really nice experiences. And that it is free to the public makes it exceptionally cool.
We also went to the canopy for sunset and the view was really good. If you're interesting in taking nice photos or just like a good view - probably worth it. If you aren't, probably not. The lines getting back down in the lifts can be a bit long and might not be worth it if you're not going to go up and stay a bit. There is a restaurant as well, so you can do that too.

We visited Supertree Grove in May 2023. The OCBC Skyway was wonderful! We spent quite a while looking at the Supertree installations and how creative and artistic they are. They are really quite extraordinary! The OCBC Skyway and Observatory attract a separate cost to visit.

You have to see this. These huge structures really come into their own at night when they're covered in lights. There's a free twice-nightly Sound & Vision presentation (although the soundtrack is very sub-Disney). But it's impressive to watch.

It seems a strange idea to have a grove of artificial trees in a garden but these add to the overall garden as they are impressive to look at, they have planting up the trunks topped by metal tube branches.
There is a high level walkway that you can pay to use but this was closed when we were there. There is also access to 2 viewing platforms and a bar at the top of the tallest tree, reached by a lift trough the trunk. We did pay for this and it was well worth doing.

If you don't climb the SuperTree you are free to walk around and watch the light show at nightfall. You will have to buy tickets to Floral Fantasy, Flower Dome, and Cloud Forest. I think it is S$46 bundle ticket for each person with those 3 attractions and a shuttle ride that takes you from one dome to the other.

Hi, I am planning a visit with two kids. How much time should I reserve for Supertree Grove?
What time of the day is best to visit?

plan to spend an hour or two. There are places to take an ice cream break, and benches for resting if you want to walk around longer than that. The high walkway is lovely, but hang on to the kids if they are young! Have fun - it's beautiful there.

Are supergroove tree always lit up since it is open till 2am? Or the lights are closed after the light show?

We went to see the spectacular light show just before dusk. When it began it was dark and there was fantastic music in rhythm with the changing colours of the lights. Once it ended the coloured lights of the Flowers by the Bay remained on. Later that night when we got back to our room at Hotel Marina Sands, the curtains opened automatically to a wonderful surprise the coloured lights of the Flowers by the Bay...….but I don't know how long these stay alight!

Is it best to buy a ticket before we fly or on the day we want to go while we are there? Which would be cheaper?
Sonia

Just as easy to purchase tickets on the day as it is to pre-book.
If you have any elderly or injured with you be sure to hire a wheel chair for the day, extremely cheap and my mother benefited greatly as we were able to walk/wheel around and see more so it was a much better experience as there's LOTS to see at the gardens :)

is it best to see the super trees by night? if you buy a day ticket, can you leave and return later?

I visited during the day and the view from atop the trees is amazing. However I don't believe that this is necessarily the best. The other "domed gardens" have beautiful views also. At ground level you get a better view of the trees overall and there is no additional charge for that. My advice, spend as much time as you can viewing the complete "gardens" during the day and stay on for the illumination of the trees.
You can go back into all of the areas by simply getting a "stamp" on the back of your hand at the relevant exits. You can enjoy hours within the entire areas without paying extra for only 30 minutes at the top

what do you get different by buying a ticket compared to free entry?

The nightly Garden Rhapsody show is free but if you want to see it from the OCBC Skyway there is a small admission charge. Much much better view from up there. Have a look at their website for further info. Enjoy your trip and safe travels.
