Went to see Wicked. The show was absolutely great, the perfomers, the costumes, the effects but also the hall. The hall was very big and quite impressive. However I cannot... read more

The MasterCard Theatres has two theatres. The "Sands Theatre" and the allegedly better and bigger "Grand Theatre". We saw "Chicago" in the "Sands Theatre" and the experience was just average. While the foyer has a grand layout and tries to give you the stylish, luxurious feel, once you enter the "Sands Theatre" itself, the experience is disappointing. We had tickets... More

This is my third time to the MasterCard Theatre and I wasn't disappointed either time! Last night we went to see a stellar performance of "Chicago" (previously had seen "Annie" and "Beauty and the Beast"). We loved all three shows, and thought that Chicago was fantastic!! The outfits, dancing, singing, and story were so well done! Congrats to the amazing... More

When you enter Mastercard Theater you will see there is the Sands and Grand Theater. I watched Chicago The Musicale at Sands Theater . Seats at the Dress Circle(Upper deck) has a very poor view of the stage. The stage is also quite small. We had to crane our necks to get a better view of the performance. If you... More

This theatre has the strangest set of rules and patron demands that I have every experienced. On the last but one visit they wanted to take a camera away from us as they described the camera as professional. It was not even a single lens reflex and they allow mobile smart phones and tablets without any intervention. I fully understand... More

Went to see Wicked. The show was absolutely great, the perfomers, the costumes, the effects but also the hall. The hall was very big and quite impressive. However I cannot understand that food such as popcorn is allowed inside just as it would be at the movies. It is most disagreable to hear people muching on popcorn at the same... More

When you enter the MasterCard theatre in Singapore's famed Marina Bay Sands, it's easy to be wowed by its size. The entrance is spacious and laced with small standing tables where you can sip a glass of wine while waiting for the show to start. There are three concession areas, which is nice (suggestion: avoid the middle one which usually... More

We watched The Illusionist and Phantom of the Opera here. The place is good and clean. Need more toilet stalls for the long que during intermission. Can't bring hot drink inside though.

I've been to the theatre several times now, and have always been impressed with how well it's coped with a range of performances styles. The most recent visit was for a Blue Man Group matinee performance, and we had front row seats in the circle enclosure. The circle seats can be a little vertigo-inducing at times with the steepness of... More

Big theatre, spacious, airy, clean and well organised as you would expect in Singapore. Comfortable seats with a good view of the stage. We were dress circle and could see very well. Staff are courteous though firm if you want to do something not allowed like take ice cream to your seat.

Staying in Marina Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Marina Bay
More of a mini city than a neighbourhood in the traditional sense, the iconic Marina Bay aims to dazzle and entertain visitors of all kinds. This is the Singapore found in glossy brochures, featuring a world-class hotel, casino, shops, restaurants, bars, and other attractions all geared towards pure entertainment. The SkyPark at Marina Bay Sands provides a stunning view of the city, a must-see photo opportunity for visitors and locals alike. The ArtScience Museum always has a top-quality exhibition, and Gardens by the Bay is a fascinating manifestation of the government’s vision of Singapore as a “city in a garden”. Enticing Marina Bay is well worth a visit.
