About
The Formula One Singapore Grand Prix was the inaugural F1 night race back in 2008, and has since been an annual event that car enthusiasts from all over the world look forward to watching in the month of September. Other than watching the racing drivers flaunt the latest technology on the tracks, another highlight of the night race is the illuminated Singapore skyline, which photography fanatics will not want to miss.

For those who want to enjoy the Singapore Grand Prix in style, the Paddock Club is the play to be and to be seen.
You’d think the Grand Prix is about fast cars, heat and a lot of noise, but for those with deep pockets it can be the most exclusive and indulgent experience. The one area to which is the most exclusive of all: the team pit lanes, where the drivers and staff work over a race weekend. Perfect shots for Instagram stories.
Someone told me it’s like a theme park for grown-ups who love to drive. In this case, I have to agree. This is the true truth as I say it as it is…

You can visit the F1 complex all year around. Indeed I have been there during the Affordable Art Fair and then it was possible to see the inside of the buildings. Today I passed it on the opposite side of the river and again passed it on my way up same side. Lots of people on pushbikes but not much going on.
During the F1 season I’m sure it’s completely different and a mecca for enthusiasts. Nice to see I guess.

From the Friday afternoon practice to walking on the track after the race on the Sunday, I could not fault the organisation of the events; all the staff involved, and the venue. It was brilliant!!!

We spent three days at the singapore grand prix for f1 fans it is a must do experience the sights and the sounds are much more exciting than just watching on television at home with the added bonus of being in one of the world's beutifull citys

This was the first F1 race that I attended live and I must say that it was an amazing experience. While it is one of the more expensive races on the calendar to attend, it is well worth it: besides the on-track action (featuring the Porsche and Ferrari series as well), you are treated to track-side activities like simulators and pit-stop challenges. The entertainment acts like Swedish House Mafia were also quite great!
My only gripe is the food. While there is a wide variety, it is quite overpriced (unsurprisingly) and some of the dishes I ordered were served lukewarm.
I recommend taking the train to the circuit park and there are many friendly ushers to guide you as you navigate. If you have to choose only one day to go, I think you should buy the Practice ticket for Fridays as there are fewer people and it is always easier to follow the race on TV broadcasts anyways. The thrill and adrenaline from seeing the cars zoom around the track on Friday already suffices.

Wow, has to be said, the most organised GP I have been to. The infrastructure was fantastic. Use the tubes as much as possible as these can get you to and from your entrance gates so easily. More trains are laid on for the event. The entertainment is superb. Muse, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Texas, Gwen Steffani, Swedish House Mafia, Lighthouse Family, Hans Zimmer, the list goes on. The Ushers had to be the most helpful and friendly people in the country, they couldn't do enough for us. I would recommend getting the 3 day ticket where you sit in 3 different stands over the event to get a better overview of the circuit. Puts other Grand Prix to shame. Great job Singapore!!!

First time to Singapore F1, been to other circuit in Hungrain, Silverstone, Abu Dhabi, Shanghai and let me tell you something about Singapore - I had the most amazing time in my life. Sitting at Stamford Grandstand where the most overtake taking place where I see few cars are pushing away which is cool. East to get in and out from other part of circuit where you can watch other part of circuit. Hotel is only 15 minutes walk away, no queuing to get in or out, plenty of food and drink around the area as well shopping centres which is right next door etc... worth every penny and I hope to come back again one day.

If you like F1 and the family not as keen then the Entertainment will Thrill you it just gets Better and Better This year the Line up was Amazing I mean Amazing .
This is one best Tracks world wide its not cheap but there are cheap stands if on Budget .
But from stand 2 or three the Excitement is as good as it gets see the crashes or spin off and down the pit straight ,Fantastic location at cost ,
Easy at end to run down the track ,they open gates to get access to track pits .
Singapore as so much accommodation prices are not through roof like other locations transport is second to none MTR .
If your near Bill Wheal singapore Flyer then Hawkers stands best place for food .
Take as much water as you can or they will Rob you blind . $s 3 small water , and subway at norm prices down there .
This is great track but the Music acts they book are top Red Hot Chilley pepers , fat boy slim Hans Zimmer loads of them .
If you go on short trip take the Big Red Bus or similar its good few hours and loads info a Tourist dream ,Also find the rite spot and you see all the drivers come and go for Autographs , Special Thanks to Clair Williams, Jacky Stewart , Bottas for time to give autographs and pictures with all the fans .

Yes you can as long you don't block others. I normally take pictures of cars during practices and qualify but not during the race so you can watch it properly.

Will be attending the F1 race in a few weeks. Any recommendations to watch the qualifier on Saturday? Would like to watch from a bar or restaurant. Will be watching Sunday at Twenty3. Thanks for the suggestions!!

So many spots to have a drink and watch the qualification. Lots of bars along the river or take the rooftop terrace at the Marina Sands Bay. Enjoy your weekend.
