About
The Formula One Singapore Grand Prix was the inaugural F1 night race back in 2008, and has since been an annual event that car enthusiasts from all over the world look forward to watching in the month of September. Other than watching the racing drivers flaunt the latest technology on the tracks, another highlight of the night race is the illuminated Singapore skyline, which photography fanatics will not want to miss.

This time I bought Bay Grandstand ticket which the seat was too far away to see the race. Everytime the racing car passed by then the viewers in front standing so that I couldn't see anything. The race was delayed for 1 hour due to heavy rain and flood on the Bay Grandstand. I couldn't leave my seat because of the flood and might be slippery also as I had too much baggage like camera n lens. The view was stunning of Singapore skyline but not recommended if you wanna see the race closer. It's better to buy Premier Walkabout or Pit Grandstand.

It was an exciting race due to conditions but really the track is crap. Had a multi seat grandstand so each day I had a different stand / seat which I thought was great. Thing is beer was 15 bucks and food was very expensive on site. Even when you were in the MRT station by the track you would be hard to know there was a Grand Prix happening, few signs ,flags or anything to see to let you know a world sporting event was happening outside. Also on some of the inside stands the crowds get funnelled through some very tight spots where one even had a knee high pole in the middle which was only visible one you walked into due to the crush. All in all I suppose they have to make do with what they’ve got but lessons could be learnt from other circuits. I would still recommend it and go again as I love Singapore.

This has to be the best place to watch a Grand Prix. Right in the City with super efficient transport systems..a night race which gives you all day to explore the City.
Great drama, well organised..something for the bucket list
Such friendly people. I will be back

Overall good weekend.
Staff and volunteers were super helpful and polite
The Singapore GP App was excellent for schedules and info

BUT...
Food and Drink services need a major overhaul, one hour wait for an inedible Pizza!
Main entertainment sector turned into a Cow Poo quagmire after rain, which is almost guaranteed in Singapore.

The race was good. The event lacks needs support categories, what they had was fine but they need more racing. The entertainment was patchy - some really great bands, but some were sub standard. On the facilities - bathrooms were a mess, not cleaned, overflowing just awful. The food and beverage stands are not up to standard, very average food, nothing remotely healthy, time to serve was appalling at food and bar outlets and technology for electronic payments was
Appallingly slow. Also given the heat and rain at this event some more shaded areas would be a plus. Let’s hope it improves next year.

The paddock in Singapure is a glass box which means you are in a room with glass window where everyone want to stay to see at least anything . You can’t hear any of the engine because is close .
Basically you don’t have anything from the race an less you lucky and get spot at the roof top. That’s very limited just some amount of people can stay there and enjoy the race.
There is always a line and you need to wait for someone leave and you can go in which is a joke !
The food is ok. The stuf very nice to be fair ,but all you do for big money it’s sitting in loud room don’t hear any of the cars and watch TV !
Worse place to see the race so buy rather regular tickets if you a fan of F1 race.
This is not like in USA or Europa where you go out/in and can see some good moments / spot of the race and be by the start .

Not in paddock !

It was out first Grand Prix experience and it was totally worth it. Only thing is I wish we had more info on what to do. There is a huge lack of information of things to do and how to reach. They have an app but it's very primitive.
Day 1, we had to go tp Zone 1 and the taxi droped us at Zone 4, so we had to walk like 30-40 mins to reach zone one in Humid Singapore weather.
It was only by day 3 did we know we should have come to "The Concourse" and taken the overpass there to reach gate 1. No website has this info.
Also we had booked Pit Grandstand as they appeared to be the best seats, they were undoubtedly very very good but i feel Turn 1 grandstand would have been a better choice as it would had a better and longer view.
Also I thought that we would be allowed to walk near the Pits but unfortunately oyr tickets did not allow that. Infact no tickets except Paddock club allowed that in SG GP.

Singapore Grand Prix 2022 in the city. F1 view from paddock suite room.

The Grand Prix is for those with deep pockets and it can be the most exclusive and indulgent experience in life.

The connection from Raffles City to Padang is poor and narrow . There are 2 routes. One underpass n one constructed overpass . They should have widen them . Or build more over pass .
And we expect rain in Singapore . Then should have more cover over the grass. Esp in Padang field . We queue up for food in mud …:(

Thirdly , the checking of bags and ticket at the entrance should be widen laterally not vertically. It is constrained the traffic flow !

For those who want to enjoy the Singapore Grand Prix in style, the Paddock Club is the play to be and to be seen.
You’d think the Grand Prix is about fast cars, heat and a lot of noise, but for those with deep pockets it can be the most exclusive and indulgent experience. The one area to which is the most exclusive of all: the team pit lanes, where the drivers and staff work over a race weekend. Perfect shots for Instagram stories.
Someone told me it’s like a theme park for grown-ups who love to drive. In this case, I have to agree. This is the true truth as I say it as it is…
