Singapore Duck Tour

62 reviews
Explore Singapore on a 1-hour duck tour, known officially as DUCKtours®, which allows you to see city sights by both land and water. On ‘the duck,’ an amphibious military vehicle that was refurbished from World War II, you’ll drive around the city to check out attractions like the Fountain of Wealth and Singapore Flyer. Then hit the water to cruise past landmarks like the Merlion, Singapore’s famous statue that sits where the Singapore River meets Marina Bay. Audio commentary is included.

Great workmanship and reasonable pricing. I go to him for all my business shirts and have been happy with the service so far. They have shifted to Peninsula Hotel #01-21, formerly from Furama Hotel.

While in Singapore on a recent business trip I stayed at the Peninsula Excelsior on Coleman Street. Just minutes from the door, at #3 Coleman Street, I spotted The Silken Treasure and decided to venture in to see what was on offer and spent a very pleasurable hour assisted by the extremely affable and helpful Raj, the owner, reviewing all the different materials I could have made into a custom handmade suit. A mere 24 hours later Í took delivery of one of the smartest business suits I have ever owned! Top quality fabric, exquisitly crafted. And the price! A third of the amount I could have spent in London. I cannot recommend Raj and The Silken Treasure highly enough for the attention to detail, the very enjoyable shopping experience and the efficiency of the whole operation! Be sure to make it a stop on your trip to Singapore. He has just recently moved to this new location in Coleman Street, very easy to find.

During our most recent stay at the Furama Riverfront I was measured for three shirts on the day that we left to fly home to the UK. My shirts arrived in the mail today, just eight days later! To say I am pleased with them is an understatement! I would enthusiastically recommend Silken Treasure for a super product, excellent service, and anattractive price. I'll certainly go back again!

Staying at the Furama Riverfront, it had been suggested to visit Raj the Tailor. My husband wasn't sure about having a suit made but his mate took him to meet Raj. Didn't make much talking into, after you see the fabrics and the price. We returned home with a suit which had an extra pair of pants and two beautifully made shirts. Money very well spent and a beautiful suit to wear. Very very impressed with this wonderful little store with so many choices.

We have been going to see Raj for many years now and every time we come to Singapore we go back for more made to measure clothes. I have had several suits and shirts made and my wife has had gorgeous dresses, suits and skirts made. All at a fraction of Saville row prices and a whole lot faster. Note you need to put a fair bit of time aside to get something made as you need to be measured up, pick fabrics and then get a fitting by the tailor prior to the suit being finished. Also check to make sure you are not going to Singapore during Chinese new year otherwise you can order clothes but you may not be able to collect them until after the holiday as all the tailors go on holiday to visit family. But all that aside I am wearing clothes from 2000 still and they look like they have just come off the peg still.
