It took us about 40 minutes to drive from the city to the ski area. It had snowed a few days before, so it was possible to climb the mountain in a 4X2 with no problems at all. The volcano is magnificent, reminds us of...More

The hike is very challenging (mentally and physically) but well worth it to see such spectacular views on the way up, plus the lava in the crater when you summit. The hike took us around 6 hours and our company provided all the equipment (crampons,...More

Had a great day out skiing the snow was amazing and the lifts and fields were well kept. The cost was ridiculously cheap compared to other ski fields I've visited. Would love to come back again.

The place is incredible, but it is very difficult to climb, even more in winter. Having a good physical condition to climb it is fundamental, because you will need it.

Beautiful place for one who wants to see the snow. I recommend taking a tour, because not all cars can go up to the base of the volcano. It's still active, but it's not dangerous. Also the landscape is amazing.

The drive there is quite worthwhile for those who are not hikers. The views are much more impressive. There are restaurants here as well . You will also find cabins and camping areas. It is only 20 minutes from town

We hiked with snow shoes in August. There was a chairlift that was working and you could hike a bit further up without a guide. The place that you are staying would probably be able to help you make arrangements. Our host... More

Only so far, before you get in snow then you really need a guide if you want to go to the top it is dangerous otherwise.
